I will also recommend giving priority  to wallet  that the source code are open to the public, this will allow  you to verify that there no hidden backdoor  or any malicious code or data collection, since the code are open to the public everyone can inspect  it and not blindly  trusting  the developer.

Not only suspicious links, but be careful of many other links like job offers. The hackers are very wise, they may come in a way that the link they will send will not look suspicious.

Be careful of address poisoning. This is not common to bitcoin, but just be careful of it.

Scanning wallet addresses using QR code scanner inside your own wallet is safer, there is no room for clipboard malware or copy pasting g the wrong address.

Very correct, anything that deals with the internet is an enemy of your recovery seed and private keys.

For how long though? As a human we have good days and bad days, we also have days where we are in haste and also in bad mood, sometimes we let our guides down not because we are weak, it's just been human, one way to get ahead is using a airgapped hardware wallet.

Yeah, the job application scams are everywhere now. Someone might contact you and then ask you to download something like it was something needed for the job interview. But once you fall for it, those are not tools but malicious code to try to steal your crypto.

As for transaction fees, we have been enjoying in the last year or so when fees are very low. But before during the time at the hype of Ordinals, the fees are very expensive.

For updating the wallet software, it might be better to just wait first. As I remember that there was a wallet upgrade before but it has issues to everyone goes down to the old version. I'm not saying that we shouldn't upgrade, but what for several days so that there could be someone who might share a his experience first.

Keeping all your Bitcoin in one wallet because it's very convenient for you might leave you in deep regret in the future.

Try have a hot wallet to bank the Bitcoin you'll be transacting frequently and keep the large amounts in cold storage and if you don't want to do cold wallet, put them in separate wallet that you rarely use.

That way, you won't be losing everything when one of your wallets are compromised.

It is possible to check the transaction was confirmed and received by a public address with a blockchain explorer with Tor or with a watch only wallet with Tor connection.

They are other choices to check transaction history of an address without need of using a private key.

I think they solve different problems. You send small amount first to verify the address is correct. You can check Explorer to confirm if it arrived or not. You don't need to keep keys online always just to confirm the status of the transaction.

That's not complete; fund as small as possible for a dedicated wallet to explore third-party platforms. We never know when misfortune will strike. Users with extreme skepticism will minimize dealings with such defi platforms (even. Bitcoin itself has already "liberated" finances sufficiently.

Third party platform you mean centralized exchanges? I'm not sure if you have an exchange wallet but I will want to give a reminder that all exchanges have minimum deposit. If you deposit an amount of Bitcoin less than what's required from the exchange, your deposit will not be credited and your coins will not be reverse to you. Don't use all these platforms, there are hidden conditions you may not be aware.

If you are using an offline wallet like an airgap wallet, you have no business on using your wallet with fake wallets apps.
I think transaction fee is important but you should also make sure you don't over paid for transaction fee. Check the base fee and the segwit discount of transaction so you can pay less fee instead of doing charity for miners.
Use a separate wallet address for each things you and don't combine the Bitcoin in one wallet, this also improves your private keys.
Wallet software update is good but it's not necessary, some new update comes with bugs and it's not advisable you start using them until it's stable and make sure there is no any problems with the version.

My bad! You're right on both points.

If he sends to wrong address, it'll still appear on chain anyway but that would safe him from losing huge amount from typo or whatever that leads to wrong address.

I get the point on the keys part. It's technically hard to practice especially for beginners as the title goes.

And then acknowledge the risks of holding your funds in the custodial platforms like the exchange which controls your fund's and doesn't give you custody to your seed phrase.
Meanwhile, one of the most utmost essence of bitcoin invention was to create a unique custody model which gives user's privacy and self custody to their funds and not regulating authority.
Perhaps exchange can be preferable if only you want to make an immediate trading
However, before that there's tendencies for hackers to steal your funds if successfully penetrate the platform security domain.
Your seed phrase should be kept secret to yourself else, others can use it to get access to your wallet and steal your funds.

Don't forget to do seed phrase backup and split in safe places.

Never use an exchange wallet as your personal wallet. Many newbies make a mistake by entrusting their funds to the exchanges and believe that it's okay to keep their funds there.

If you're not going to trade then there's no use of those exchange wallets being used as your personal wallet. You never hold the key there and that's why whatever happens to the exchange, happens to your funds kept there.

Don't make a mistake by thinking just because an exchange is popular and known, they should be entrusted and used as a personal wallet. Please no.

Use hardware wallets for bitcoin storage, usually beginners will start with hot wallets first such as Metamask, Electrum, Bluewallet or other types of wallets that are easier.

Sometimes beginners also save their seed phrase in Google Drive, Gmail or other types of online storage, this is not a good suggestion, but now many beginners are aware and have saved offline.

Furthermore, also confirm if your network type as the sender matches with the receivers wallet network else complications of loosing the funds might be highly effective.
Also, be careful of the clipboard poisoning as malware can hijack the copied address from the device of the sender and swaps it to the malware projectors address.
 
Perhaps the address could appear similar and any mistake can lead to sending the funds to the wrong address. So it is also important to diligently crosscheck the address before proceeding else, there would be no reversal nor means to recover the funds.
