This just proves one thing: the Bitcoin community has love, selflessness, and a willingness to help. But if you look closely, they didn't just donate; they trusted that whatever they donated would be used for the purpose for which it was requested. Therefore, the man behind the project should be applauded. He could have run away with those funds, as we hear happen all the time.

Another thing this shows is that if it had been in dollars, I think it would still have been possible to feed the needy. But the barriers involved in moving such funds were eliminated by Bitcoin, making the process swift and easy.

I hereby applaud Satoshi for his innovation, which so many people adopted. Because without the community, Bitcoin would have been dead. Bitcoin to the world.
Another area where Bitcoin can be used of course.

When good hearted person comes in contact with a mean to help others, they can go extra miles to do it. You can imagine the number of people who he helped with just a little donation that grew to something.

This the government could have done too, but out of selfishness, they do not care. I'm glad to hear that the Bitcoin community were sponsors of this great project, it's not easy to trust one man with such many donations and expect him to deliver.

I like this aspect of Bitcoin the most. I have seen many cases where the Bitcoin community helps a lot in many places but they don't go viral. People give more importance to that which has negativity the most.
When they started donating Bitcoin maybe the price of Bitcoin was much lower but the help was needed people can't wait 10 years and starve to get more mills.

People trusted the man because this is how people are, they have conscience, it's happening around the world but not with this Bitcoin style, I know like four different people in my country helping the homeless this way.

The man choose to stand on his words, that's good of him, if reward is truly out there's somewhere I hope he gets to him and his family, because there are people who pretend to have good heart and they rob the masses, again this have happened in my country.

What I can't find out is if this man used the bitcoin to get the meals directly, I mean if he exchange the Bitcoin into those Foods or he converted to USD first, because no food sellers or merchants in my country that accepts Bitcoin as means of payment.

I feel excited reading stories that showcase the beauty of Bitcoin and the Bitcoin community, not the ones that portray Bitcoin as a tool used by criminals. If critics are going to argue that nothing like this has ever happened, then the most obvious evidence is the existence of a place or project called Satoshi Forest.

Bitcoiners are not criminals; they are a strong force of people who believe in financial freedom, innovation, security for the future, and mutual cooperation just as seen in the experience above. A few bad actors are not enough to paint Bitcoin in a bad light.

I will continue the plan and distribute the meals to homeless people and if necessary to all people who needed. I am sure that will worth for them. I will inviting more people to participate and help the plan and reaching more homeless people while the government can't do much to them. Those homeless don't need promises from the government, what they need is just food daily and fills their basic needs which they can't get that opportunity.
that is a huge humanitarian initiative which should encourage us all to be in participation. Anybody who takes it upon themselves to impact on the lives of others how ever little it is will not regret it. This isn't the path where you find a lot of people, this is the part where you find only the genuine ones. Those who have the real heart and interest of the people at heart. I encourage each and every body to imitate the same idea and initiative at their respective places. It may not have easy for some of us because some of us will have issues with our government but if it is something you think you can still do, please give it a try.

I hereby applaud Satoshi for his innovation, which so many people adopted. Because without the community, Bitcoin would have been dead. Bitcoin to the world.

We all love Satoshi. I also appreciate his sacrifice of coins. But I would say that we should not create an excessive myth about it.
Are we using Bitcoin's utility properly? Is it even possible to eliminate poverty through Bitcoin charity alone? In addition to charity, we need to work on its economic growth, employment and Bitcoin adoption. Listening to this story, it is clear how much potential Bitcoin has for good. However, it is not possible to fix all the problems within the system with a single project. How many of us use on-chain proof or multisig etc. in our personal lives? So I would say let's follow the good aspects in real life and fill the shortcomings this is what Satoshi fought to achieve. .

I really enjoyed reading the article. It makes me think about what my stack could do if it used in the right place.

These are the kind of people we're supposed to call Bitcoin heroes. Not billionaires who hold thousands of Bitcoin. These are people who actually went out of their way to educate people about Bitcoin in the most unconventional way. This guy even took it a step further. I really admire and appreciate people like this, because they could have simply minded their business like the rest of us, and nobody would have held it against them.

I don't care if Bitcoin was a small amount; it is something we should all emulate. Our little 20-$100 can go a long way.
The fact that he also paid in Bitcoin when Bitcoin was not mainstream is somthing that should be commendable.

Exactly. Someone like this and others should be called Bitcoin heroes. In as much are we investing, we should still look for ways to help the little we can. There's a saying that says: what goes around comes around, what you sow you reap. We should all emulate such heroic traits as it will later define who we really are in a long run. I know people are still contributing their little tokens here and there. And to be frank with you. The top heroes are those little contributions that could not be counted. You are the once thatake such news possible in the first place. You too are highly recognised.

The idea by the veterans is a brilliant one, this is because he has been selfless to put in efforts and gather people to help homeless people, but my concern is the fact that, why would a state put a law that homelessness is illegal when they haven't provided housing scheme for everybody in that town. It would have made sense if they had said, we have housing scheme for everybody at an affordable rate, so if you are homeless then you better occupy those houses else, you will be arrested if your found wondering without a house.

This is the time where the greed for bitcoin was not too evident yet, maybe because the price of bitcoin that time was still very cheap and no one expected for the price to surge too high. This is a reminder that bitcoin is made for selfless purpose, and to help everyone in need using bitcoin as the tool. Kudos to the person who extended a genuine heart just to help the homeless people.

However, seeing bitcoin at its current price, and everyone is eager to own bitcoin, expect that helping other people will be the last option, as everyone is greedy to own bitcoin and build their own good retirement in the future.

It would surprise you just how many people are willing to lend a helping hand and all they are just waiting on is someone that is ready to carry on this responsibility and be at the forefront of executing a brilliant idea.

I read the part that heightened on ‘giving a homeless person a blanket not to be allowed’ that stretches the extent at which this most have being a problem at the time and how a good head from a veteran that most have seen a lot people suffering on their campaigns and choose to make life a little easier for those at home and around him.

The idea to name the place Satoshi Forest is another significant idea that validates the source of this arms giving and would leave a mark in the hearts of beneficiaries.

Good story, he's got the heart and never thought of taking the donations away if he's one of the early adopters of it. I think that the community is always in the support of these charities and their causes because it's easy to send money without even questioning how the organizer will use it. When someone is moved with their stories, it will create a noise until the other people of the community will also show the extending hand and will do in the little thing that they can help through sending some sats, welp that's a whole bitcoin when it's still cheap before.

That soldier is so worthy and has made a place in the hearts of people for his own good work. His great work is even more beneficial because he is creating a place to sleep in the house for those who cannot sleep in the house, there will also be a place to work. Thanks to Satoshi for this because he has left behind a priceless asset that people can benefit a lot from and someone else can benefit from.

The soldier invested a small amount of money in Bitcoin and today he is able to provide a place to live for hundreds of people from it, this is only a sign of Satoshi's intelligence. Anyway, the work is very noble and thanks to him for helping the needy people.
