If you ignore someone on the forum especially the annoying ones, try to also ignore them on Bitcointalk super notifier Bot on telegram or any notifier you are using.
You know some set of people can be so annoying they keep mentioning you and you keep getting notifications that they have mentioned you and sometimes you may be tempted to remove them from your ignore list to see what they have to say again and if you don’t have self control you may start arguing with them all over again, I’m sure this may have happened to someone here.
I believe ignoring them also on the notifier Bot you are using will help you to avoid getting pissed off and going back for another round of argument with them.

Is not new and the thread is not about informing people that it is new, is just an advice because some people forget to ignore annoying users that they have already ignored on the forum on their notifier Bot, and when you only ignore the user only on the forum you can still receive notifications when ever they mention you so to avoid getting pissed off and removing them on ignore list to start another argument is best you ignore them on the forum and your notifier Bot.

It is a very known feature of the bot, even the old one has this already, so i don't think its necessary to make a new thread just to "inform people" when the feature is very known not just for ignoring user but for topics and boards too.

I think much of what makes users make use of the ignore button in the forum is just to avoid reading or coming across certain users write ups and does not necessarily make them feel annoyed neither are they in arguments that's why they dont bother going further to telegram notifier bot to use the ignore feature there. Maybe except in special cases otherwise you can always scroll up pass a user's notification message on your telegram.

Also, I think many forum members feel okay with using just the forum ignore button of the forum.

Because basically most users of this bot knows and sees the ignore often. However, this is a sub tool not a direct Bitcointalk kits, so the advice would be pretty a remind on the tool thread and not meta directly.

I do not really need to be ignoring someone on supper notifier before I can ignore them. For real, if I cross mind about someone I would never be that bothered with whatever trash they are saying and I will just skip them whenever I come to their post or receive notifications.
When you have a strong mind or when you have a thick skin according to how they usually say here you won’t be touched or affected for any reason be it ignoring them on all areas you wouldn’t pay attention to anyone out there.

The OP will be "surprised" by the discoveries of any part of the forum until his number of merits reaches the number he needs. I think everyone sees and understands this perfectly. It doesn't matter to him that many people know about this feature; moreover, the author of this bot himself has long written everything on his topic. The main thing is to look "caring," because the forum, according to the OP, is full of idiots who are not able to figure everything out on their own.

If you stay long enough in the forum, you will know the importance of putting some people on your ignore list, it has several advantages including protecting your peace and saving yourself from too much dramas. There are some people that intentionally troll others and there are some sworn spammers that will never repent, the only way to deal with some of them is to add them to your ignored list. I have not used the Telegram bot for that even though I know it existed.

Once you ignore on forum you probs won't see their post  even if you  saw a mention on the notifier.
Depends  on what made you ignore such person, if it's about spam then you obviously don't need to even see when they quote you in a thread or mention you.

 if it's something  else that doesn't really concern  not  reading their post  when  they mention you or quote you then you can still let it be on the notifier, it will be left to you to read or ignore tha particular  post. I can ignore someone because  I find his post annoying but still concerned about what they are trying to pass to me.

It won't be fixed by the forum. Like for users with usernames changed, their initial usernames will still be shown and remained intact in quoted posts that were made before the times of username changes.

That SMF patch works for blocking a user in a thread, not forum wide.
Skipping to the next/previous post within a topic by the same author (SMF patch).

What is so difficult in seeing the post of someone you believe is a shit poster and just scroll pass, something’s are not worth complaining about.
I believe the forum Admin has a lot to look into to make the forum more better, your request will never be considered because it’s very easy to scroll pass a shit posters post than to start creating the forum in the way you just described.
