Scientists are racing ahead at full speed to create artificial life equipped with artificial ribosomes, artificial DNA, and artificial RNA. And it is just as easy to create artificial mirror life with mirror ribosomes, DNA, and RNA all from scratch. And then we get infected by mirror bacteria. Your immune system can't recognize or defend against mirror bacteria, so the mirror bacteria will eat you. Sure, mirror bacteria likes mirror glucose more than regular glucose, but mirror bacteria can still get enough nutrients to eat you AND mirror bacteria evolves faster than you do, so mirror bacteria will figure out how to digest you even better very quickly. Nobody! Absolutely nobody is developing and testing mirror antibiotics for safety and effectiveness even though we can do that now. This means that once we actually do get mirror bacteria, the mirror bacteria will probably be all over the world by the time anyone figures out that there is a problem and that humans everywhere are dropping dead. And when people start getting infected by mirror bacteria, there will be no mirror antibiotics to defend against it, so all humans will drop dead and be eaten by the mirror bacteria.
