I don’t know how people would see it but i have never had any argument were i compare Mbappe to either Messi or Ronaldo, to me Mbappe still has a long way to go, yes Mbappe is a fantastic player but to me he isn’t exceptional like Messi and Ronaldo, do you know how long Messi and Ronaldo have reigned? Do you know the quality of players we had then and yet Messi and Ronaldo were still reigning? even in Ronaldo and Messi aging state they are still super exceptional, because of Messi presence in the Argentine team they are still a top contender of the World Cup even though Messi is old, sincerely for now no player can be used to compare Messi or Ronaldo, they have written their names in time, it is not just about goal but Messi and Ronaldo have made this generation fun from their game play and it would be difficult for any player to fit into their shoes.

The player that might have even come close to being compared to Messi and Ronaldo would have been Neymar if not for constant injuries, Neymar is also a born baller who effortlessly dribbles and scores with so much influence and charisma. To me Mbappe still has a lot of work to do on himself if he ever wants to create such records as Messi and Ronaldo and should be careful not to allow pride set in.

In the 2025–2026 Champions League Mbappé is also listed as the top scorer. So I personally think that Mbappé truly deserves to be considered one of the greatest players in this modern football. He is one of the most talented players who consistently makes significant contributions in every appearance with his outstanding performance. But I don’t think Mbappé can be blamed for his team’s failure to secure many achievements because I believe football is all about the team.

I believe it is okey for people to have fun with their memes and jokes when comes to football, everything is acceptable, as long as there are no calls to violence or other unacceptable behavior.

Am not blaming Mbappe for his teams inconsistence, as a matter of fact apart from when Messi was in Barcelona when he had world class midfielders like Iniesta etc i feel in terms of team Mbappe has played in more coordinated teams than Messi with only Barcelona as a exception, Mbappe country is France and as long as world football is concerned France is one of the finest teams with so much of consistent and talented players, he is also playing for Madrid so no one is talking about team, my point is Mbappe is exceptional at his level but under no circumstance can we compare him with Messi or Ronaldo, the gap between them is endless, Zlatan once said that you don’t compare god’s with mere men, Messi and Ronaldo are football god’s it will be rare for this generation to see any player that can beat their record and game play.

I thought i was the only one who has the belief Mbappe is going to beat Messi's goal record in the World Cup this year but I didn't know that you share the same belief as me. This is the obvious truth because Messi and Ronaldo are definitely going to retire from international football after this very world cup which Ronaldo's team has already been eliminated from the world cup leaving Messi in the tournament, Mbappe is still young and has more years ahead of him to fixture in the world cup, so he will surely break Messi record of being the highest scores scorer in the world cup.

It also has much to do with his skin color and his origin, though.
I did a little bit of research and he fact he is called a dictator within the football community, it is a direct reference to the fact there are many authoritarian regimes in third world countries, countries where the majority of people are black or brown, like him.
If Mbappe was white or of European origin, I am sure he would not be called dictator, people on the internet would have found a completely different name for him.

I would not go as far as call it direct racism, but I would definitely call it some kind of indirect racism against Mbappe and people like him within the French selection.

Mbappe has made himself into a player that cannot be ignored in football. It is very hard to mention the French team without calling Kylian Mbappé or mention Real Madrid as a team without mentioning Mbappé currently because he is on a very good run of form, and it is very shown and evident in the number of goals he has scored in this World Cup and his contribution for France.

He may not really be a dictator as all these memes would like to portray him, but because he is very popular and performing, it is normal to see different narratives pushed to likely assassinate his character and maybe affect his football. I would only accept that he is a dictator, as they say, if it comes from a player who has played with him, either at the club level or at the national level.

Kylian Mbappe is a big name so far international football is concern. His popularity is brought about by his performance, and input in the world of football, and also in his present club Real Madrid. I think Kylian Mbappe is called a dictator because he is a non nonsense player, and because of his status in football, he is respected even among his counterparts.

I have been seeing them online and they have made me laugh. It’s because he always likes to try and call the shots. He doesn’t like to take orders from anybody else. Mbappe has been shining for a long time now, has nothing to do with Ronaldo or Messi. Mbappe won the 2018 World Cup and was by far one of the best players there at the age of 19. I don't think there is much more you can do as a young player to shine. All this talk that great players can't coexist. I actually like the fact a lot that there is an oldie like Messi who still proves to be invaluable for Argentina while there are all these younger players like Mbappe and Dembele and whoever else who - and I am sure about that - respect big time what Messi is still doing. Playing one great season is easy, two great seasons is not so easy anymore, playing 20 great seasons is unbelievable.

While I think that recovery has become much more effective these days, playing on the same level of a 27 years old player when you are almost 40 is crazy. Messi isn't as explosive, but his skillset is still extremely competitive. Since his game is not as taxing physically, I would not be surprised to see him play for more years to come. I don't know whether he gave any hint recently, maybe Messi quits if he wins this World Cup But frankly, it will all be about France as they are the best team beyond doubt at the moment. Mbappe is a type of player that will never rest even when the goals have been met. 20 career goals like it's nothing, and we're expecting more to come. Is he not the same player that struggle in every aspect of the game during his first few months in Real Madrid? 5 passes to him and he'll either lose to the to a defender, run too much and lose contact, or find himself guessing on which direction to go, making it easy for a tackle. Until fans started booing him and regretting over the committee's decision on their behalf.
