Is there something wrong with version 3.0.1? The mining process is no longer functioning properly.

Could you share more details so we can help?

- What OS are you mining on (Windows/Linux)?
- Are you solo mining or on a pool?
- What exactly happens, miner won't start, connects but no shares, crashes, or something else?
- Any error message in the miner console or node debug.log?

Also worth noting: Hybrid PoW+PoS activated on mainnet earlier today, so if you're seeing fewer PoW blocks than before, that's expected, some blocks are now being produced by stakers instead of miners (currently ~5% of blocks). Mining itself should be working the same as before though, let us know what you're seeing and we'll dig in.

I am the Windows 3.0.1 client. The block synchronization has stopped at 20690. Has the node been changed? Are there any new node IPs?

No, the node/IPs haven't changed. Timing lines up with a pool/stratum crash-loop bug we hit on our end around that time (fixed a bit later) — that's the most likely cause of the stall, not your client.

JSON-RPC call failed: Block decode failed
[2026-08-09 09:43:44] submit_upstream_work json_rpc_call failed

Same likely cause — our stratum server was crash-looping around then, which would explain failed work submissions.

Both should be resolved now. Also, we just pushed an updated Windows Qt Wallet build (same release, same file name) with a separate staking-loop fix — worth re-downloading and reinstalling: https://github.com/CivicLight/CivicNet/releases/tag/v3.0.1

Let us know if you're still seeing issues after updating/reconnecting.
Also, for faster updates on stuff like this going forward, might be worth joining our Telegram Channel/Community, we usually post there first when something's up.

Is there any specific reason of having 5% PoS ratio rather than 50%?
It seems more likely to have 50% each for PoW and PoS usually in other coins, although I may be wrong.

Any chance of having a Discord channel that is easier to reach/communicate for most people?
And also any change to fix the explore to show network connections? That will be useful to see how big the CivicNet.
Also good to add checkpoints time to time to the core.

There seems a subtle problem in PoW difficulty calculation or consensus after introducing PoS. The difficulty keeps going higher even though mining time is way longer than the expected block time 60 seconds. In long term, this may lose the expected quick transactions within 1 min in CivicNet.
