Cognitum
• Decentralized Intelligence Network
IntroductionCognitum is not just another altcoin. It is an experiment in pure, unstoppable decentralized computation. Built from scratch with a single-minded focus on fairness, it uses the battle-tested
RandomX proof-of-work algorithm — the same engine that protects the most privacy-respecting networks. There is no ICO, no premine, no developer tax, and no shortcuts for ASICs or GPUs. The only way to obtain CGN from day zero is to mine it with your processor. This is a return to the original promise of cryptocurrency: one CPU, one vote.
The Windows core wallet has been released. The network is live. The first blocks are being mined right now, and the difficulty is still at its absolute minimum. Linux binaries will follow shortly. If you want to secure a position before the hashrate arrives, the time to act is immediate.
Why RandomX and CPU MiningRandomX transforms any modern x86-64 CPU into the most efficient mining hardware on the network. It was specifically designed to resist ASICs and FPGAs by making memory-hard general-purpose computation the bottleneck. GPU mining is not profitable by design. This means that almost every person with a laptop or a desktop can participate on equal footing. True decentralization of block creation becomes not a slogan but a mathematical reality.
Cognitum adopts RandomX without modifications, using the recommended configuration so that existing RandomX miners can connect instantly. You do not need to buy exotic hardware. If you are reading this, you already own a capable mining rig.

Difficulty retargets every block using Dark Gravity Wave v3 to keep the emission schedule accurate regardless of hashrate fluctuations. Coinbase maturity is 60 blocks, and the minimum transaction fee is 0.0001 CGN.
The supply is finite, halvings are predictable, and every single coin in existence must be earned through computation. There is no founder reward, no marketing budget, and no hidden allocation. The genesis block is empty except for the coinbase.
Windows Wallet — Ready for MiningThe Windows 64-bit wallet is fully functional and available for download right now. It includes:
✓ Graphical Qt interface for sending and receiving CGN
✓ Built-in CPU miner (setgenerate true)
✓ Full node synchronization from block 0
✓ Console and RPC for advanced users and pool operators
Download link: https://github.com/Cognitum-dev/Cognitum/releases/download/v1.0.0/Cognitum-1.0.0-win-x64.zip (GitHub)
After installation, allow the wallet to synchronize. Once fully synced, open the console and type
setgenerate true 4 to start mining with 4 threads. Adjust the thread count according to your CPU. For external miners like xmrig, configure the daemon with
server=1 and connect using the RPC credentials found in the configuration file.
The Linux daemon and Qt wallet are being finalized and will be released in a separate announcement later this week. Experienced users can compile from source immediately; the repository already contains the full RandomX integration and autotools build system.
Mining Guide and First-Mover AdvantageAt this moment, the network hashrate is measured in kilohashes per second, not megahashes. The effective block reward is the full 50 CGN, and solo mining with even a modest Ryzen or Core i5 processor will find multiple blocks per day. The difficulty is near its minimum. This window will not last. As soon as the community deploys mining pools and optimized RandomX miners, the network hash will climb rapidly, and solo miners will see drastically fewer rewards.
Do not wait for the exchange listing, the fancy pool dashboards, or the Linux precompiled binaries. By the time those conveniences arrive, the early-block bonus will have been distributed to those who ran the wallet when it mattered. The blockchain is permissionless; nobody will gift you coins later.
Quick start with built-in miner:Download and run cognitum-qt.exe.
Let the chain sync (the progress bar will show the status).
Go to Help → Debug window → Console.
Type
setgenerate true 8 and press Enter.
Wait for the “block found” message.
For external RandomX miner (xmrig):
Start cognitumd.exe and wait for synchronization.
Launch xmrig with
-o 127.0.0.1:19112 --coin monero -u your_wallet_address -p x, using the RPC username/password set in cognitum.conf.
Monitor your hashrate and submitted shares.
Mining pool operators are welcome to set up infrastructure. The daemon supports
getblocktemplate and all standard RPC calls. A reference pool implementation can be adapted quickly from any RandomX-compatible project.
Community and Next StepsCognitum has no corporate backing and no marketing team. Its growth depends entirely on miners, node operators, and enthusiasts who understand the value of a truly fair launch. This thread will serve as the primary coordination point.
Development roadmap:
Linux binaries (Qt and daemon) — within days.
Bootstrap node list and seed DNS — already deployed.
Lightweight CLI miner with RandomX optimization — under testing.
Block explorer — expected online shortly after the first 1000 blocks.
Community governance and improvement proposals — once the network stabilizes.
No promises of exchange listings are made. Exchanges will list CGN when they see fit. A coin that proves its mining base and community strength will inevitably attract trading venues. Every mined CGN today is a stake in that future.
The CPU in front of you is now a minting machine for a scarce digital asset with a mathematically finite supply. Nobody will airdrop you Cognitum. Nobody will sell you discounted tokens. The network is alive, the genesis block is already buried, and every 120 seconds a 50 CGN reward waits for the first miner who solves the puzzle.
Start your node. Point your cores. Become part of the purest distribution experiment since the early days of cryptocurrency.
