I opened a thread on the Politics & Society board yesterday. While reading what others were saying about my content, I saw that my thread had been deleted. Can you tell me why the thread was deleted? And can I use my account now or will deleting the post cause problems later? Below is my deleted post.

The Trump administration is continuing to pursue an aggressive “America First” agenda, with immigration enforcement, trade restrictions and national security remaining at the centre of its policy decisions. Supporters argue that this approach protects American workers and strengthens the country’s negotiating position, while critics question its economic and diplomatic costs.
Immigration remains one of the most contested areas. The administration has expanded enforcement efforts and challenged state-level policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities. Several of these measures are now facing legal challenges, meaning the courts may ultimately determine how far presidential authority can extend.
Trade policy has followed a similar pattern. Tariffs are being used not only to protect domestic industries but also as leverage in disputes involving labour standards, national security and defence spending. Such measures may provide temporary protection for some American producers. However, businesses dependent on imported materials could face higher costs, which may eventually be passed on to consumers.
Foreign policy presents an even more difficult test. The administration is attempting to combine military pressure with direct negotiation, particularly in its dealings with Iran. Washington has demanded secure commercial passage through the Strait of Hormuz while continuing diplomatic talks. Because this route is important to global energy supplies, prolonged instability could keep oil prices elevated and increase costs for households and businesses far beyond the Middle East.
The central question is whether Trump’s confrontational negotiating style will produce durable agreements or merely create repeated periods of uncertainty. Pressure can force other governments to negotiate, but excessive pressure may also encourage retaliation, disrupt trade and weaken cooperation with traditional allies.
It is still too early to make a final judgment. The administration’s success should ultimately be measured not by the number of executive actions or forceful announcements, but by practical outcomes: stable prices, secure borders, sustainable employment and reduced international conflict.
