Unbelievable feat from an addicted woman

I read another article today about a young woman who lost her savings and started cheating at work to earn more and then use the money to gamble to win it back. This was all discovered, and she now faces a two-year prison sentence, but I feel sorry for her because she's addicted and willing to do anything to earn more. She needs help, but apparently no one listened to her or noticed her problem in time. This reminds us once again of the subtleties that separate addiction from normal gambling.

There are quite a few such stories. We just know of a few that reach public attention. I remember a story was already discussed here about a guy who committed suicide after gambling away a huge sum of money on a loan, leaving his family with the entire debt to the bank. This has gone too far. In such cases, professional help is needed. And the sooner the better. There's no need to indulge an addict. That will only make matters worse.

In records, they say that it's mostly men who are becoming addicted to gambling. But I think in situation like what OP has brought, addicted women have more advantage because of the population of men in the gambling industry. I think that she can be sued for fooling these people and marrying them. Although of how it's easy to get married there and the number of divorce in the state, I guess that's the whole plan of what she's ployed. She's going to divorce them all and still she'll get a chunk of it unless it's brought to the court and there's fraud due to her addiction to gambling.

It's funny how she did all of these just because she wanted to use them as toys to fund her gambling addiction, that's exactly how gamblers think. They don't care what it takes to get what they want, as long as it is all about funding their gambling addiction they do it without thinking twice. She was just treating all of them as ATMs to pay for her gambling and other expenses, and how she was able to remain married to most of them till the day of her arrest needs to be questioned, and if the police had not arrested her, the list could have been longer, as the report said she was arrested at the meet-up point with her and her potential husband.

'This is what addicts are willing to do in order to get the money to fund their addiction' is what I would say but this is something I have never seen before, online dating would be easier to explain since none of the men would be likely to know but being married to 14 men, how does she even manage to hold everything together with no one finding out.

We should try to make sure we keep our urges in check, if this is what being addicted will do to a person then she's probably already burned through even more that was reported.

Not only obsessed with gambling addiction women act like that. There are plenty of examples and stories about women having multiple husbands/boyfriends/lovers who sponsor their luxury life. You dont need to go far to find a story where women this week is one man, next week she is  on vacation with other, when she returns she get back to her family and tell how her 2-week work trip was exhausting. I think even among your friends there is women who is "in relationship" with several guys. The woman in OP story is no different, she only set a record of having parallel relationships

Wait, there’s actually a way of checking whether someone already has a spouse? I didn’t know that. The most possible way of doing so would’ve been through an ID, but that wouldn’t be possible right, since she already changed her ID. Who knows if she had a different ID/name for each of her husbands, lol. Shits are really happening you know.

Which country are you from? Here you can look up online your single status,,, because polygamy is a crime, if you want to register a marriage to even apply you have to show proof of single status And even with ID change, all your previous status carries over. So in Vegas I guess nobody even checks

You simply need to be more attentive to people, even women who seem nice at first glance, because they may have a cunning plan to get money and take it to the casino. Frankly, such stories make you distrustful of the vetting of people you meet. It was much easier for the woman to do this because if she's beautiful, men are more trusting. She could also use subtle psychology to attract partners and get closer to them faster. But I'm still surprised by the number of men she's managed to deceive over the years, and I'm even surprised how it was discovered.

I still can't believe This, because there's no way they won't find out that she was just playing along unless the husbands are from different countries. but even at that they would definitely find out, or does it mean the 14 husbands are all dumb that they couldn't find out what  the woman was doing.. perhaps it could be the woman was using charms to cover up, I'm sure that's the only way this could work.If this is a reality then it's very funny, in my life I have never seen a woman getting married to 14 husbands nor a man getting married to 14 wives. That is true but we have more number of men that gambles than the opposite gender ( women) which also means that we have more addicted men than women in gambling. There are people who go as far as stealing and selling of property to gamble because of the level of addiction those who do drugs and other things can go as far as kidnapping people for ransome, that is why people are always advised to gamble responsibly at all time because of what addiction can cause.

So all those marriage certificates are gottem from Clark county? All of them? That's sick, how come those who works over there don't know this already until 14 round came up? Or maybe they don't take their pictures?

That must be the case, I know how marriages are been prepared when it comes to registry, this is a big offense on its own, she should be sentenced and locked up because he deceived even the government too.

I also blame the men because you can't cough out a lot of money and never look into what the receiver used the money for, even if they are your loved ones because addiction is a thing this days, they might be funding something entirely different like drugs or gambling.

That's a lot of work just to get money to gamble. I mean, it takes quite some time and effort for a person to fall for someone. But yeah, love scam is very common. There are a lot of vulnerable peopele out there who get scammed by this kind of tactics.

I know some stories kinda similar to this. But rather than marrying people and making them fall in love to ask for money, they use pity. They'd be looking so helpless, asking people they know to borrow money because of different reasons. Either, "my child/partner is sick and I need money", "I don't have anything right now. I don't have money to buy food", "my children just needed money for tuition and for their studies". When someone gets addicted already and he already used all what he has, he'll find ways just to get money. They can come up with a lot of reasons just to get pity from others so they can borrow money. But in the end, they'll just use it for gambling.

There is other motive to which this woman is scamming people in the name of gambling addiction.
We know that the money she must have been getting from her scam works must not be tied to the gambling addiction but using the funds to do other things like flexing and involving in all kind of drugs. We can not frankly argue it that the main reason for her inclusion in scamming people must have been due to her gambling addiction.
