Last year i make trial pizza first but honestly, this year i have have a bad feeling that my pizza will go unnoticed among all other entries as last year, so I didn't put much effort into preparing. I just pick up a quiet day and executed the concept in my had. I'm a little disappointed now, not because I finished second, but because I know I didn't give it my best effort into the preparation and the entire process.
First of all, congratulations,
abhiseshakana. Well deserved. 🍕
That said, I'm a little confused by your post
You saying:
"I didn't put much effort into preparing."
"I just pick up a quiet day and executed the concept in my head."
"I know I didn't give it my best effort."
But earlier you described a very different experience:
"We start making this pizza early morning..."
"...remembering hours of our work..."
"...we decided to end the process (almost midnight)..."
"...with the help of my children and wife."
That's what confuses me. Spending the entire day—from
early morning until almost
midnight—
with your wife and children sounds like a huge amount of planning, preparation, and effort.
So when you say you "didn't put much effort into preparing," what exactly do you mean?
To me, it actually sounds like you
did put in a lot of effort, even if you feel you could have refined the final result further or spent even more time on the presentation.
That's a huge amount of effort. I know because I spent around 4–5 hours on my own pizza, and just cutting those
BTC symbols took quite a while. Looking at your entry, it seems you invested 10x more time and effort than most contestants, which is why I'm struggling to reconcile that with saying you "didn't put much effort into preparing."
