Most challenging countries hardly identify their rights because of misplacement of priorities between the leaders and the people. Most African nations feels the leaders control their rights of the citizens and privacy that's why the citizens actions and protest are not highly recognized on the events of urgency. Do you think the leaders has right over the lives of the common citizens or the citizens determined the controls checks and balance of the leaders?

Nobody will go against what we have said or we don't care about their rascality that's the statement of most Africans leaders. They can only protest and it doesn't move our decision, our purpose is to grow the falling economy. Leaders with such mindset has nothing to offer citizens than authoritative ruling or autocrat.. if we are under such nations as citizens what do we do to be heard?

This is not true, you are only annoyed because of how poor Africa countries economies are if compared to the Western countries and some countries like China.

There is democracy in Africa except in the junta countries taking by the military, I mean the countries ruled by the juntas. And just know that both democratic and autocratic system of government are good, it all depend on how good the leaders are. I do not like it when people are using autocratic system of government as something bad.

The fact is that in most African countries, citizens don't even know that they have the right to certain things. They let fear shut down what they are supposed to do when the government doesn't seem to be functioning. In Nigeria to be precise, we have the right to question the government on why our economy is failing and what he plans on doing to fix it. But how many are even willing to exercise that right. We know that when the crowd is silent, majority would do same and that's a problem in Africa, no body is speaking. There are some important aspects in our economy that strikes a need for questioning and since our government knows that we usually don't exercise our rights, they use it as an advantage for their ill responsibility..

Laws of every government in a democracy treats everyone equally but in reality the power always holds the advantage over the common citizen. If you are in that stuation, you can't really do much other than waiting for your next election and vote for the right person.

We are bittered by the way things are going on in our individual country, but in Africa democracy still exists. Let's not talk about how elections are rigged. Yes, elections are rigged because the puppeteers (citizens paid during the electoral process to rig the election) are the ones who make sure they hand the lead to the current leaders. We cant say they are not citizens. They are citiens who have chosen to take bribe while elction is being rigged. Leaders do not have right over the lives of citizens. Inpeachment still exist by law. We just have scared citizens who are afraid to come out and stand for what is right.

They have to be responsible for the lives of their citizens because they're being placed by the people. But if it's about ruling over the lives, it doesn't make sense. And it should be the citizens to demand check and balances for the leaders so that they'll be accountable if there's corruption that happens on their regime.

The protest are done to send the message to the leaders. But what if the leaders don't really care for its people and just turn a blind eye and deaf ears to the words of its people?
