Almost 100% of movies are lies. Good actors portray something they are not. They are good liars.

some of them movies are meant for entertainment and not necessarily meant to paint what is true or so serious. except they outrightly tell you that it is based on a true life story or that it is meant for educational purpose, just take them for what they are which is basically for the sake of entertainment.

Movies are for entertainment purpose and not for portraying true stories. Although professional movie directors use through movies to tell stories that share message of great moral to the society. The story line may not be from a true life story, it could be fictional or at times non-fictional. It doesn't matter anyway as those who watch the movie understood the message.

That definition of lie would also make most jokes into lies. The people who are deceived by a movie in that way suggested by the OP are young children, so I suppose actors could come across as liars to children upon learning the truth. Most people watching a movie are not so easily deceived though and that isn't the intent. Context is key here. Lets look at the liars paradox:

THIS STATEMENT IS A LIE!

Is the previous statement true or false?

Watching of movies are for entertainment purpose so if they are lying, this shouldn't be a disappointment on us because it is all about entertaining us, you should not also forget that there are some real life experience that they acted in movies, this will make it to vividly understand that not everything they are staging our lies, the only thing I will have to go against is for us to live our life with the intention of going after some of these actors as our role models, most of them are living a fake life that is even more worse than what we are seeing them act.

I think the key question is what we mean by lie. If an actor pretends to be someone else while the audience know it’s fiction, I wouldn’t call that lying, rather it’s performance. A lie is usually meant to deceive someone into believing something is false and movies don’t hide that fact that they are fictional. In fact most people watch them because they want to experience an imagined story.

So while the story may not be real but the ideas behind them often are.

In modern movies, the actors lie so well, and the props are so realistic, that even when a movie watcher knows that it is not real, his subconscious can't help but believe it at least in part.

When you find our what the actors are in real life, doesn't it often disgust you? They lie so well in their movies, that you almost can't believe how disgusting many of them are in real life. Inadvertent lies. But it all is that way to some extent, even if the actors are good guys in life, like they portrayed in their movies.

Congratulations on learning the concept of fiction, which is something that most kids figure out by the age of five, but everyone learns at their own pace. The next step is to apply this knowledge to media other than movies.

However, when fiction is applied in nearly 100% of the movies
and when it is done so realistically that it seems real
You can tell yourself over and over that all movies are fictitious
But your subconscious mind will believe what it sees, not what you tell it.

True, that after the movie, you might be able to straighten your subconscious out a little, if you work at it. But you won't be able to do it completely. You will always believe some of the lie.

Cool

EDIT: You could always have a partial lobotomy done. But it might not work even then, because the brain stores everything in many places within itself.
