Oh, I missed that you launched Poker in September, that's a very good news. We have a very few number of casinos that also offer Poker game and even few or almost non-existence number of casinos that offer KYC-free Poker.

By the way, I have one question that's very interesting for me. Durak is a Russian game but since you introduced it to the rest of the world, I wonder how popular this game is? Also, right now, since you have both, Durak and Poker, how popular is Poker compared to Durak?

Thanks! Yeah, poker has been live for a while, easy to miss.

On Durak, it's not only a Russian game. It's played all over the former USSR: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Baltics. Plenty of Russian speakers in Israel and Germany play it too. Pretty much everyone there grew up with it.

Poker is in production now. Right now it's Hold'em only, but we're adding Omaha and Short Deck, hopefully that brings in more people. We also ran our first freeroll and it went well, the players gave us good feedback. Next we want to move to weekly buy-in tournaments, since a lot of people said buy-in would be more interesting and the prizes would be bigger. A poker demo is coming in the next few days too, so people can try the interface first.

As for popularity, Durak is actually ahead of poker on the platform at the moment, which surprised us, because poker is way better known. I think it just needs time to find its audience.

Hi @DurakCrypto, thanks for the tag in your tournament.

Honestly, the 5 USDT buy in isn't too high, but unfortunately, I'm not that interested because the tournament isn't specifically for bitcointalk users.

My suggestion would be to add some extra funds to the prize pool to make the rewards more attractive. I'm sure this could encourage more people to join your tournament. If the prize pool only comes from the total buy ins, some people might not find it interesting enough to participate.

Fair point, thanks for being straight.

I opened it up on purpose. After the freeroll people from Altcoinstalks and Twitter asked to play too, and I didn't want to turn them away. The only condition is one account per player. Multi-accounts don't get in, we track that, so they get cut.

And about the prize pool: for this first tournament we decided not to take any fee at all. 0%, so every buy-in goes straight to the prizes. With 20 players that's 100 USDT, paid as 50 / 30 / 20.

The pool also grows with every player who joins, and the next tournaments will have a bigger buy-in (10 USDT at least, 20 if people want it), so the prizes get bigger too. I can't add my own money to every tournament, we'd just go into the red, but this way the whole pool is made by the players.

Hope you'll give it a go anyway.

Still looking for growth partners 🤝

The offer stands: a boosted 25% revenue share on every player you bring, ongoing for as long as they play. No upfront cost, you earn as the platform grows.

If you run promo threads, signature campaigns or have a crypto/gambling audience, PM me and let's talk. 🃏

As the old saying goes: You need to spend money to earn money. Platform, marketing, prize pools, and other stuff... How did you imagine getting your platform off the ground?

And it's about competition... why would anyone play here when other platforms have GTD games, freerolls, and more people on cash tables?

You are looking for "growth partners" for some time... We all saw those threads. I'm sure people checked your site, saw your player base, coding, and everything else.

Hope you'll give it a go anyway.

If I deposit a few dollars and play this one tournament, can you tell me what would keep me on the site after that?

Fair questions.

I'm putting in what I can. Most of the budget went into building the platform, and marketing is mostly my own work for now, not paid ads. I'm also looking for partners to grow it with, that's what the 25% offer is for.

You're right about competition. Getting a table of 6 together isn't the hard part, the freeroll had 15 players. What I don't have yet is a steady crowd at any hour, and GTD games. More people play durak than poker right now (poker only appeared in September), so that takes time.

To grow it I'm doing everything I can on my side: we already ran a free freeroll, the first buy-in tournament has no fee at all, and for the next ones I may add some of my own money to the prize pool to make it more interesting for players.

There are plenty of pluses too: tables from 5 USDT, 5% rake and no rake without a flop, Hold'em, Omaha and Short Deck, decks you can verify yourself, no KYC, network fees of a few cents, a daily reward for playing and a weekly tournament. There's also a referral program: 10% of the rake from every game your invited friends play, no cap and no expiry.

If you deposit a few dollars and try it, tell me honestly what would make you stay or leave. That's what I need to hear most.

Small update on the tournament: for this first event we decided not to take any fee at all. 0%, so every buy-in goes straight into the prizes.

Buy-in is still 5 USDT and the same top 3 get paid (50 / 30 / 20%). So 10 players make a 50 USDT pool (25 / 15 / 10), and 20 players make 100 USDT (50 / 30 / 20). The more people join, the bigger it gets.

If you're in, register in the Tournament tab and drop a + here. Saturday, Oct 31, 16:00 UTC.

This tournament should have some GTD Prize no matter what. An example would be (specially for a $5 buy-in), $50 guaranteed + every buy-in from the players. Otherwise why would anyone commit to a long tournament with 6-7 players for a $10 lTM. He will be choosing cash tables any day over this tournament.

Fair point, and I agree that a bigger pool makes it more interesting for everyone. But this one will stay as it is: 0% fee and the whole pool goes to the players. I think that's already a fair deal for a first buy-in event.

We still have 6 days, and I'm hoping at least 10-15 players register by then. With no fee that's a 50-75 USDT pool, which is a decent prize for a 5 USDT buy-in.

For the next tournaments I'll start adding my own money to the prize pool, as long as it brings a real result: players who stay and play, not just prize hunters.

What I'm after is a bit different from just filling a table. A freeroll is a good test, but a lot of people just take the prize, withdraw and never come back. That doesn't help the platform, and it doesn't help the players who want a real game. I'd rather see people who like poker itself, play cash tables between tournaments and stay. The tournament is a way to get them in, not the goal.

You ran leagues before, so a question: what actually kept regulars coming back in BPPL? I'm thinking about a points table across the Saturday events, like you suggested earlier, but I'd like to hear what worked in practice.

There will be always people that comes for either the freeroll or high prizepool tournament. They will withdraw everything when they won something from the site

If you have your concern about this then perhaps you can always lock the withdrawal atleast until the account play 100-150 hands on cash game or something like that. Obviously this also wont make people stay but atleast they will play for decent number of hands before withdrawing everything

Thanks, I did think about it. For the buy-in tournaments I'd rather not lock anything, the prize there is made of the players' own buy-ins and holding it back would feel wrong. If you pay to play and win, you should be able to take it.

It makes more sense for platform-funded money like freerolls. For those I'm thinking about a small hands requirement, announced before registration so nobody is surprised.

For the buy-in events I'd rather give people a reason to come back, like points across the Saturday events and a free seat for the top places.

It’s not nice to cheat like that, Mr. Durak.

Not to bump. This morning my update about the tournament fee showed up inside my reply to arallmuus, so I removed that post and put it back as one clean version. From now on I'll keep tournament news in the tournament thread.

And a little liar, too... It’s perfectly clear from the screenshot that you deleted two comments (consective posts are actually also against forum rules). The one about the tournament was separate. The other one you deleted is 100% identical to the new one you posted today.

Not exactly. I deleted only one: my reply to arallmuus. The tournament update was removed by a moderator, here is the notice I got:

After that its text ended up inside my reply to arallmuus above. That reply had nothing to do with the update, so I deleted it and posted it again without that text. I wasn't bumping anything, and tournament news will stay in the tournament thread from now on.

Calling someone a liar without knowing all the details isn't nice either, and I don't like it. I'd expect a more respectful attitude toward other users, even ones you don't know.

I don't want to spend more of my time on this discussion, so that's all from me. Have a nice day.

In that case, let me explain to you what happened.
A moderator removed your post due to "consecutive posts"- which is visible in the screenshot I shared earlier - as this violates the forum rules.
Afterward, you deleted that post from yesterday:

And today, you posted a new one that is 100% identical:

This is bumping and cheating, and that’s the end of the discussion.

I haven't harmed anyone here, and being called a cheater and a liar over a deleted post isn't fair. That's all from me.
