Scammer on telegram who claims to search blockchain for forgotten wallets

I was randomly moving across Telegram when I stumbled on this scammer who asks for subscription from unsuspecting users to give them access to searching the blockchain for forgotten wallets. This is a scam channel because you cannot obtain seed phrases from the blockchain, they are generated by your cryptocurrency wallet locally, the blockchain only stores your public addresses and your transaction history, so there is no way any wallet can be obtained by scanning the blockchain, seed phrases are set of  12 to 24 words that can be used to reconfigure a wallet and give you access to addresses of coins stored on the blockchain.

He updates his channel regularly which means he is still actively using that channel to lure people in.

I know that newbies visit this sites on a daily and I decided to drop this here. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM, there is nothing like searching for lost or forgotten wallets on the blockchain.

This is a very good reason people need to have knowledge about something before getting scammed. There are many different scam on telegram, this is just one if them. Even from his service, you can easily know that he just want to scam and nothing more.

I do not understand this part. You mean through the search on Telegram? I only use that to search for people that gave me their Telegram username, nothing else.

Some of the groups I joined in my early days of using telegram, I was only doing some mini cleanup and archiving them when I saw the channel name and decided to have a closer look. Though he is a baby scammer but we only know because we're informed. uninformed and greedy people can easily be lured in by his video testimonies and loose precious funds in the process.

After reading through your post and how the scheme is design, I can only draw one conclusion that it takes someone who is a thief to fall for this scam because the supposed forgotten wallets are people's money, so anyone offering you a software that will search and unlock them is invariably teaching you how to steal. I doubt anyone will fall for this because by common sense, anyone who have this software will be busy searching and hacking wallets and will not release such useful tool to people. It's just unfortunate that people are so desperate, gullible and have their conscience seared to fall for something as funny as this.

This kind of online scamming strategy might of course seem obviously to dictate it is a scam, but believe it, there are still beginners or ignorance who could truly accept it that they can recover access to their wallets if indeed there be a well organised scamming formality which comes  down to target users specially either through PM, calls, and even make the process look some bit technical including solving the captcha with all just to give it a glance of you having to perform some simple technical task to get access to the Blockchain that stores misplaced access to your wallets does not exist at all.

Of course it sounds common to catch such scammers if only you have gained experience with some common of their Strategies.
Yet there are still those who are not aware and could fall victim if they fails to do their personal research before taking actions whe  they sees related or strange events.

Almost a perfect mind trick that will definitely work on beginners who are too lazy to learn things themselves, it's the price such beginners got to pay because there is no such thing as 1 Blockchain, 2 Blockchain, like on they lost.

The blockchain is open for everyone to view but that doesn't mean that someone can search it for another's seed phrase.

Scammers are not always targeting greedy individuals alone, they are always targeting newbies which they believe they don’t have much knowledge about crypto yet, they believe this newbies are going to be easy to brainwash for then, so they are always after them. As a newbie you should take your time to properly learn about cryptocurrency before you just into it.

This is a common scam. No one can recover lost wallets without the private key or seed phrase.

How these scammers work:
1. They ask for a small "fee" to search the blockchain
2. They take your money and disappear
3. Or they ask for your seed phrase and steal everything

What to do instead:
- Never share your seed phrase with anyone
- Use a blockchain explorer (like Tronscan for USDT) to check your transaction history yourself
- If you lost access, only the wallet provider can help (and even they usually can't)

So basically they are offering a services or a tool that seek for a seed phrase possible there is a catch there like for those people who subscribe at the lower tiers probably they will prompt that they got a jackpot and manage to take home some seed that has a balance after that the user will seen a potential for an earning they will now subscribe for a higher tier and the scammers will now take home bigger amount, these users do always lurking around in a crypto groups reason why once seen unknown message from these will be automatically I delete and block no time for drama like that I dont entertain strangers.

There are a lot of scammers, especially on Telegram. I wouldn't trust anyone there. Someone asks you or chats with you with an intention, you could easily say that it was a hacker or a scammer for sure, unless you're the one who chats first with the intention. But in your case, a subscription for that was just the goal of the software anyway? Right there are already so many red flags from this, and the fact that it is asking for money is already a red flag. I wouldn't waste money on something like this. I mean, Brute Force Seed?  Really?

It's common scam. I have no sympathy for the victim who don't consider the app may steal someone else live saving or why mainstream news media don't report existence of the app.

Majority of us in the beginning uses Telegram more than any messaging apps. As it become the de-factor for crypto users.

But as soon as scammers found it, they began to flock Telegram and pull the classic one like what you have shown us here, or the very old click the link that might have malware in it. And if I'm not mistaken, there are also some topics on how to protect ourselves in Telegram.

On how to do the right setup so that we won't get trick by this scammers. But still though, everyone should be vigilant and not to trust anyone.

That is why I don't pay attention with subscription from Telegram and research to finds the truth. We might get more scammers there so be careful if you are invited to any channels and just leaves immediately if that channel have potential to scams you.

I just hopes beginners not falling down this scams scheme as not many of them have much knowledge about this tricks. They really needs to leaves the channels and never thinks that will gives them much.
