If Nobody Spends Bitcoin, Has It Still Succeeded?

Although I think that it's not possible that no one will spend Bitcoin and just going to hold them. Even Saylor himself proved it wrong when he was the poster boy and says that they won't sell. But this year alone, they've made some selling too.

But in any case this premise is true, I think it will still succeed as Bitcoin will remain the dominant crypto. It has a strong solid base, like many people have invested on it since the beginning. And with that, the price will still continue to go overtime because there will be a lot of demand.

Anyway, that's just me being silly, but we should definitely use our coins for buying and selling because holding them for too long and dying without even using them means we just wasted our money. But we should not overspend.

How will you even hold your bitcoin forever, if you are investing for future, or for your children, make sure your seed phrase is kept in a place where they will be able to access it Incase if anything happens to you, because if they can’t access it, then your money is wasted already, it’s going to be in your wallet forever, even if your family members are in need of money, they won’t be able to access it.

Bitcoin main purpose is to serve as alternative currency, and it’s already serving its purpose, but it’s surprising when I hear some people saying they are planning to hold forever, they don’t have plans to sell or do anything with the bitcoin, just because you really want to invest in bitcoin doesn’t mean you should end up wasting your money. If you don’t sell your bitcoin, and anybody can’t access it, then it’s wasted if anything happens to you, because it’s just going to be in your wallet.

Does the OP truly expect that in order for Bitcoin to be successful it has to be used every
day by everyone who owns it to buy coffee's and all other manner of things and that HODL
was never invented?

We can take it that today as I post this Bitcoin is already successful, people are buying,
selling and HODL'ing it, some people are actually transacting with it on a daily basis, others
not at all. Institutional investors have done an about turn and showed they can benefit
from it in a way.

We all dont have to buy coffee with it to make it successful, its there already.

Do you personally spend Bitcoin, or only hold it? What would need to change for you to use it regularly?

I hold Bitcoin, and also use it for transactions. Because I use Bitcoin the most for these two purposes and I complete the transactions without any hassle. Because if I transact in my local currency then it is extra hassle and serial maintenance in the bank, in the current position Bitcoin transactions and holding are the best two.
Because it is possible to profit from Bitcoin investment, in this position Bitcoin is beneficial in all aspects because it protects you from inflation.

The OP created his account in July 2026, then created this thread in July 2026 and also stopped posting in July 2026 yet replies are being posted in this thread. It seems as though his idea was to promote his project (and the associated token sale of the project) but creating an account with the URL. After it generated zero interest he probably decided to utilise his time elsewhere. I will report the thread in the hope it will be locked.
