I keep wondering, do people actually have evidence to back up these claims they have about fifa being corrupt and sports games in general having a bit of controversy to it. How do they know that those things suspected to be fixing or something planned wasn't just coincidental? People always have something to say at end of the day so I'm not really surprised. When Argentina were having constant wins in the last world cup a lot of people said it's a manipulation and also when they lost the final people still said it was also a manipulation from fifa to cover up the fact that they have been in favour of Argentina, very funny.
I believe it's never about proving anything, it's just fans taking out their frustration for unfair decisions that happen in a game or in a tournament, and then they start saying that the federation is actually favouring some teams while doing injustice to some others. I still remember the game between Argentina and Egypt where there were a few things that could make a difference if they weren't ruled out by the match referrees. The first one was when Egypt scored a goal but it was later declared offside. The second one was when an Argentinian player created an issue by saying the Egyptian guy stepped on his foot during a tackle, which wasn't actually correct as was seen in the replay but the foul was still given.

There were so many other incidents which were neglected or some decisions which were unfair to some teams, and people who were watching saw all that and that became the reason for their rage. I wouldn't say that the federation was to blame for all that, but there were some serious unfair decisions taken by match officials and because of that, I wouldn't say that the audience was wrong for raising their voice against it because it is important for competitions of this level to have complete fairness with all the teams and players, so such things will make them more vigilant when there are major tournaments in the future.

No matter what tournament it is, you'll definitely come across comments like that. I think that's totally fine, because people are free to share their opinions. Plus, not everyone likes Argentina or Spain, so you might hear comments supporting the other side, or criticizing the other side and accusing them of cheating just because they performed so well. That's normal and nothing to take too seriously, because if you ask people whether they have proof that a team is cheating, they'll just say that they just have a feeling about it or they just think it looks unnatural. In the end, it's just a baseless comment.
