Everything that is done with emotions will always beat the purpose of gambling. Fear of Missing out is actually one of it. Although its normal for gamblers to bet for potential profits, but what is not normal is when you see yourself chasing for bigger profits simply because you can't afford to miss another luck or fortune in betting. You need to bet more often so that the chances to win will also be unstoppable, and that's where you start to gamble the wrong way.

Emotions is the best enemy of a trader or investor, and gambling is not an exception. FOMO should always be avoided to control your future losses.

That's the usual dilemma of most gamblers. Thinking that they will miss something and so they need to continue what they are doing. Thus, you need to discipline yourself when it comes to gambling. You should keep within your boundaries, otherwise, you will have problems later on.

I don’t really use cashout but I know it usefulness and always prefer to cashout an uncertain bet rather than missing it and getting nothing off it.

I do not see it useful after I used it to be in more losses in some matches in the past, I was still betting with somehow high amount of money at the time. There is actually no where that fomo (fear of missing out) does not apply, this is not something that is related to trading and investment alone, it never has been and will never be regardless of the fact they its in crypto trading and investment that many many of us came to realise there is such a thing and term known as "fomo".

Fomo also exist in business, buy and selling and in so many other areas and activities of mankind, for example, I've meet business people who bought goods they are unable to sell out, tried finding out why they bought such goods in the first place, they say they saw people buying a lot of it from somewhere else and they felt it could become the latest trend, so they chartered lots of it because they fear to miss out if that ended up trending, but unfortunately, it did not trend and now, they are stuck with it..

So fomo is everywhere and not new to gambling and or betting, it's just that the term is not used much or even considered in gambling and betting.

This is so true and I saw someone in that situation today. He was playing aviator and spent hours on the game. He started with a losing streak but kept motivating himself that one good win will help him recover all the losses and that he was not going to stop because he believed that he will soon hit a very big multiplier. He deposited four times and lost all yet he refused to give up. It was the fifth deposit that actually helped him recover most of the losses, although he ended the bet in small loss after he was pressured to stop and don't yield to greed.

I call this as the gambler’s fallacy- the gambler would have that mindset of recovering his/her losses by gambling again. Unfortunately, however, the result would always be the same- he would either breakeven; or snowball his losses like what you explained.

Chasing that bonuses or deposit privileges can potentially make you self-destruct in the process. The funny thing is, the more you chase those bonuses, the higher the chance that you would just lose money at the end. So basically, you’re chasing for a loss rather than a win!

I find this very interesting- so that gambling website disabled cashout in the process? Why did it disable it? That’s somehow dangerous especially that it makes it that you cannot stop further the bleeding. Good thing the result was different from what was intended in the first place.

Anything done under pressure don't normally end well.

It is good to hear about such features, didn't know about it until now and would try it out on my next gambling session. Fact is fomo is something everyone experiences in their gambling activities, but we do try to keep emotions stable.

If you are the type that cannot handle such emotional fluctuations, perhaps it is better to use such features and let the site do everything automatically for you. Your job would simply to place the bets.

Yes it is true that some person started gambling so that they won't miss out, they want to be one among those gamblers we usually talked about how they have been profiting from gamble.

But that's very wrong as that is not a good reason why we should join gambling, we should not be forced to gamble rather we need to be sure that we are ready and we must also have a concrete reason as to why we chose to gamble.

FOMO already says it all. You are no longer gambling for entertainment, but you are chasing your profits in gambling which should not be done by a responsible gambler. Because once you adapt that kind of strategy, you won't settle anymore for a small win but you're always up for a bigger win. And you won't accept the fact that you are losing in the end, you have to keep your bets high because anytime FOMO will act upon.

This thought might sound uninteresting but it goes with the real fact.
The fear of being emotionally driven to make decisions out of greed because it's only greed that makes one to lost that chance of taking the available profit by the opportunity.
The state of mind on cashing out half of total payout or below but later the end of the games it played to success of your prediction you'll feel regretted and you should had just made 100%.

I think the worst thing of all is going into a game without having a goal.
People do not need to keep looking the numbers and deciding between one choice or another during an event. People need to have the courage and composure to believe on what they are bet. They need to plan their "attacks" in advance, do research, make wise bets and calmly wait for the final result without worying about what will happen along this way, simply trusting the work they have done....

I do not cash out early. I plan, I bet and I accept the results, whether they are good or bad.

Yes, I know so I anticipated by not watching the fluctuating numbers and just let it happens. After all, I analyzed first before placing the bet and knowing the consequences and if I return to my open bet and see a potential profit that I can take, I will take it and not waiting for too long until the game is end. I have never cared. When I place a bet I either win or lose the bet. Rarely have I ever considered cashing out. I am a busy person who doesn't have time to stare at a screen all day during the game nor would I want to. Rely on my feeling of a game to be good, place the bet, watch the game.

FOMO can keep someone trapped to their gambling apps, especially when they feel that they will miss a big win. When i newly started gambling i used to feel this way, especially when you are in telegram channel or group where they drop daily predictions.

There are times when you would bet even when you don't feel like placing a bet that day, because of fear of miss out (FOMO) and this FOMO had made bettors lose huge amounts of money because you see them staking bets all the time, because they do have this feels that they may miss opportunities of winning big if they skip any of the predictions on the telegram channel or group.

That's true, fomo can be very dangerous to us as gamblers, it's nobody's mate to be honest. Fomo most times is what causes addiction, lost chasing, constant hope for huge winnings even when you aren't seeing the signs, it can imprison someone in gamble for years without knowing when to exit gamble or when not to. A friend of mine way back has lost significantly all by hoping for something huge that wasn't coming forth after several years of gambling. However, if only we understand the negative impact FOMO can cause then won't be taking it so casual, we should be fighting it by now in our gambling life.
