BTCPayServer plugins out of date

So what do you guys usually do when you have a plugin for something you need to install on your BTCPayServer, but it doesn't work because there's a bug?

Personally, the Trocador integration had not been working for me because it was not updated for so long. I patched it, but the maintainer is offline so my pull request cannot even get merged.

It is going to be a major problem for many people, because most don't know how to code and the best they can do is leave a review on the plugin directory.

Nothing much to do if there is a lack of demand. If the plugin was widely used and adopted, I would imagine the developers would've paid more attention to it but I can see that one of the contributors in that plugin's repository is Nicholas Dorier (who's behind BTCPayServer), have you tried tagging him on X? He might be able to help.

It's not Dorier's version of the plugin, his is a few years old. My contribution is at a more recent form made by another person, and that dev doesn't have any socials unfortunately.

Then that is much more worst. Try searching the developer username or name on google maybe it uses same name/details on other socials sites. Because if there's not, waiting could be very your choice or drop the support and use other versions of bycpayserver plugins.

As you can see, it does have other people listed as "contributors" on the right hand side but on the Github repo it's only the one maintainer listed as a contributor.

It does say the max plugin version is 2.3.6 though, so anyone trying to use it with 2.4.0 without the patch will have a broken plugin.
