thanks for your answer i bought the bitcoin with paypal on coinbase and i copyed the address of the person i was sending it to and sent it the network was coinbase
So you didn't send BTC, but rather WBTC on Base's network?
If the person gave you a real BTC address (start with 1,3 or bc1) , Coinbase would've shown an error because that's not a valid WBTC (EVM) address.
And if the receiver did give you an EVM address (starts with 0x) then the user should be able to see the funds in his wallet.
Now... if you meant to select another network (such as Ethereum for example), and you selected Base by mistake... the only way to recover the funds would be for the receiver to connect to the base network from his wallet. This should be easy if the recipent uses a non custodial wallet like Trustwallet, MetaMask, OKX wallet, etc. If it's an exchange though... that's going to be more difficult, especially if the exchange does not support the Base network to start with.
