[ANN] TZUR Wallet for iPhone | Fully localized Bitcoin wallet with BlockSight built in

The Bitcoin wallet that speaks your language. Explorer built in.

TZUR Wallet is now available for iPhone on the App Store.

TZUR is a Bitcoin-only, self-custody wallet built for people who want a focused, private and capable tool for managing bitcoin without turning their wallet into an exchange, trading platform or advertising service.

The entire wallet is fully localized in 31 languages.

This is not limited to a translated website or a few interface labels. The complete wallet experience is localized, including onboarding, wallet creation, recovery, sending, receiving, transaction history, settings, security screens, warnings, advanced tools and the built-in BlockSight explorer.

The goal is to let users manage bitcoin and understand every step in a language they actually use.

There are no accounts, no registration, no email address, no identity verification and no personal profile.

There are also no altcoins, tokens, swaps, buying, selling or currency conversion services.

TZUR is the product, not the user.

Why is TZUR a paid wallet?

TZUR uses a paid software model rather than relying on swap fees, exchange commissions, advertising, subscriptions, referral revenue or user-data monetization.

You pay once for the application.

TZUR does not earn from the value or frequency of your transactions and does not add a markup to Bitcoin network fees.

The app costs $59.99 as a one-time purchase, with no subscription and no recurring payment.

This model allows us to focus on building and maintaining an independent Bitcoin tool instead of creating financial services around the user.

You buy the software. Your activity is not the business model.

Bitcoin only and full self-custody

TZUR is designed only for Bitcoin.

The wallet creates and manages your keys locally on the iPhone. Transactions are constructed and signed on the device before being broadcast to the Bitcoin network.

There is no TZUR account and no server-side user profile.

BlockSight OÜ does not hold your bitcoin, cannot approve or block your transactions and cannot recover your wallet if you lose your recovery phrase.

The app supports:

  • Creating a new Bitcoin wallet
  • Restoring an existing wallet
  • Sending and receiving bitcoin
  • Native SegWit addresses
  • Sending to SegWit and Taproot addresses
  • QR code payments
  • Transaction history and detailed transaction information
  • Multiple wallets
  • Watch-only wallets
  • Face ID or PIN protection
  • Local transaction signing

Full localization across the entire wallet

TZUR is fully localized in 31 languages.

The localization covers the complete application experience, not only the main wallet screen.

This includes:

  • Onboarding
  • Wallet creation
  • Wallet recovery
  • Sending and receiving
  • Transaction history
  • Transaction details
  • Settings
  • Security screens
  • Warnings and confirmations
  • Fee information
  • UTXO tools
  • The built-in BlockSight explorer

A user can create, manage, back up and understand the wallet without having to switch to English.

The objective is not only translation. It is to make Bitcoin self-custody clearer and more accessible to users around the world.

Recovery phrases in 31 languages

Bitcoin is global, but most wallets still expect every user to back up their wallet using English words.

TZUR introduces a recovery experience designed for users in 31 languages.

The wallet displays the recovery phrase in the user’s language through deterministic word-index mapping while preserving the standard English BIP-39 phrase as the universal backup.

The same word indexes always correspond to the same English BIP-39 recovery phrase.

Users are encouraged to keep both versions:

  • The phrase in their own language for readability and understanding
  • The English BIP-39 phrase for maximum compatibility with other wallets

The English phrase remains the universal recovery layer.

The goal is to make self-custody easier to understand without separating users from the wider Bitcoin ecosystem.

BlockSight.Live built directly into the wallet

TZUR includes the live BlockSight.Live Bitcoin explorer directly inside the application.

BlockSight is not a third-party explorer embedded into the wallet.

It was designed and built by us from scratch as part of the same Bitcoin product ecosystem.

The goal of BlockSight is to make blockchain data easier to understand while still providing detailed information for more advanced users.

Users can inspect transactions, addresses, blocks, fees, mempool activity and network conditions without leaving the wallet or opening a separate browser.

BlockSight is also fully localized in the same 31 languages supported by TZUR.

Features include:

  • Transaction exploration
  • Address exploration
  • Block exploration
  • Live mempool and fee information
  • Bitcoin network statistics
  • Visual network indicators
  • Network load information
  • Full localization in 31 languages

UTXO visualization and wallet control

TZUR is designed to remain approachable for everyday use while also providing deeper information for users who want more control over their bitcoin.

The wallet includes UTXO visualization, allowing users to see how their total balance is divided across individual transaction outputs.

This can help users understand:

  • Large and small UTXOs
  • Wallet fragmentation
  • Potential consolidation opportunities
  • The structure behind the displayed wallet balance
  • How individual outputs affect future transaction fees

Instead of showing only one total balance, TZUR helps users understand the Bitcoin structure behind it.

Transaction tools and fee management

TZUR includes tools designed to make on-chain Bitcoin transactions clearer and easier to manage.

Users can review transaction details before sending, including:

  • Destination address
  • Amount
  • Network fee
  • Total transaction cost
  • Selected fee speed

The wallet also provides transaction analysis and fee information intended to help users better understand how their transaction will behave on the Bitcoin network.

TZUR does not add a markup to miner fees.

Bitcoin network fees are separate from the purchase price of the application.

Privacy model

TZUR does not require:

  • An account
  • An email address
  • A phone number
  • A username or password
  • Identity verification
  • Custody of funds

The wallet does not offer buying, selling, swaps or exchange services.

Fiat currencies are available only for displaying the estimated value of a Bitcoin balance.

TZUR does not perform currency conversion and does not move funds through an exchange.

Like any network-connected wallet, TZUR must communicate with blockchain infrastructure to retrieve balances, transactions and network information.

The wallet never sends your recovery phrase or private keys to those services.

Customization and display options

TZUR includes several visual themes and customization options.

Users can customize the appearance of the wallet with different themes, backgrounds, accent colors and wallet-card styles.

Balances can be displayed in:

  • BTC
  • Satoshis
  • Supported fiat currencies for reference only

Fiat display does not involve buying, selling or converting bitcoin.

Source code and trust

TZUR is currently closed-source.

We understand that source-code availability is an important consideration when choosing Bitcoin wallet software, especially for software that manages real funds.

Users should evaluate this limitation together with the wallet’s features, security model and their own risk requirements.

TZUR is not presented as a replacement for every type of Bitcoin wallet.

Users storing significant amounts should always consider their personal threat model and whether a hardware wallet or multisignature setup is more appropriate.

Current limitations

TZUR for iPhone is focused on on-chain Bitcoin wallet management.

The current version does not include:

  • Lightning Network
  • Altcoins or tokens
  • Swaps
  • Buying or selling services
  • Custodial accounts
  • Trading features
  • Yield or lending products

These exclusions are intentional.

The goal is to keep TZUR focused on Bitcoin self-custody, on-chain wallet management and clear access to blockchain information.

Price and developer

Price: $59.99 USD

Payment model: One-time purchase

Subscription: None

Developer: BlockSight OÜ, Estonia

  • The full 31-language wallet localization
  • The multilingual recovery system
  • The BlockSight explorer integration
  • The UTXO visualization tools
  • The paid software model
  • Privacy and security considerations

Questions, testing, bug reports and honest criticism are welcome.

If you say these things aren't integrated into the wallet, why are these still a reason we have to pay upfront? Electrum doesn't have those things either afaik, and it's free.

What if wallet development is halted and no other wallet supports the same word-index mapping standard? Do you mean this wallet also provides English recovery phrases?

Fair question.

TZUR wasn't created because the world needed another Bitcoin wallet. It actually started with BlockSight.Live The goal was to build a Bitcoin explorer that is easier to understand and accessible to people who don't live and breathe Bitcoin every day.

Most explorers assume the user already understands Bitcoin. We wanted to build one that helps people understand it in the first place. BlockSight was built entirely from scratch, with simplicity, usability and full localization as first principles.

The wallet naturally followed. In TZUR, the explorer isn't an external website or another app. It's an integral part of the wallet. You can move seamlessly between your balance, transactions, UTXOs and the Bitcoin network itself. The idea is to keep the user in one focused environment. Just you, your bitcoin and the Bitcoin network. No tokens, no swaps, no exchange services and no distractions.

As for the pricing, we intentionally chose a simple business model. You pay once. That's the only time we make money from you. No subscriptions, no swap fees, no exchange commissions, no referral programs, no ads and no monetizing user data. Software updates, new wallet features and BlockSight integration are all included.

BlockSight itself is completely free for everyone. What you're paying for is the native integration inside a dedicated Bitcoin wallet, together with features such as UTXO visualization and a user experience built specifically around Bitcoin.

Regarding the recovery phrase: yes. Every wallet also displays the standard English BIP-39 recovery phrase. The localized version is simply another representation of the exact same BIP-39 word indexes, not a different seed.

Even if TZUR disappeared tomorrow, the English backup restores in any wallet that supports standard BIP-39. The mapping itself is public, along with the repository and the BIP proposal, so there is no dependency on our company for recovery.

As for open source, we're considering open sourcing parts of the wallet in the future. BlockSight is different, and we currently have no plans to open source it.

If you're curious, BlockSight is completely free to use, so feel free to try it. If you like the overall approach, TZUR is available as a one-time purchase.
