Lebanese Military agrees to flush Hezbollah, Signs Deals with Israel

I don't know if Israel and the Lebanese government are going to agree to disarm the Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon completely. There have been speculations about whether this agreement is going to yield a positive result or not, but many have been surprised in the long term, seeing that the Lebanese government is taking crucial steps in making a peace deal with Israel to end Hezbollah.

This is just a discussion, and I want us to bring our opinion without being sentimental here on whether this could bring a positive result or if everything is just an attempt to distract from a continuous attack on Lebanon.

Always having an olive branch available is good to getting anywhere in almost any conflict. I imagine that nobody is here to try to defend Israel's actions of about the last year on the internet because those kinds of actions were were openly and brazenly immoral to a near maximum degree. We're still several years out from orthodox Jews in Israel becoming the strongest political force there. They seem to be mostly against genocide.

I believe that this kind of agreement is a good step to take if only the people or everyone is truly ready for peace, but you see signing agreement is one thing and implementing it is also another thing entirely. For areas that has experienced conflict for many years do not just change overnight because you see trust is not that easy to rebuild. So if both sides keeps to their promises and avoids actions that can increase tension all over again, it can help in reducing the violence. But if both sides do not respect the agreement, the whole process can break down. So what m trying to say is that, is what will happen after the deal and not just the deal itself, will determine whether lasting peace will really come.
