Certain people have this type of notions. Institutions will be buying bitcoin because bitcoin does not discriminate about who is buying and owning it. Because these institutions understand the importance of bitcoin and its possible rise in price from current price, they will buy and look for the profit. They are also the ones who will sell when bear market starts to happen but still buyback at the next start of price rise.
Institutions have institution this and institution that, they're not the same. In any industry and branch market, there are good and bad companies so only good companies will be able to survive and beat competitors over time. Bad ones will have to leave or will be bankrupted with time, it's very natural and true in all markets, all industries.

It's not coincident that why there is such prediction.
Bitcoin Spot ETFs fundamentally shifted.
Quote
Industry consolidation is expected to reduce the current group of roughly 10 to 12 U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs down to 3 to 4 dominant major survivors, with a few niche cost-leaders remaining.

Quote
Such techniques need to be learnt by the common traders as well. They can also make profit off the market in this manner or just keep it simple and continue accumulating bitcoin over the years.
Traders will have to learn this hard and expensive lesson with time, and when they understand it, they will change from traders to become investors. They know that beating the market, market makers and investors is impossible.

The bitcoin market is open to the public, you, me and anyone who has money and wants it can own bitcoin, institutions are just the same investors as us, the only difference is that they can collect large amounts of bitcoin, and "ownership" means that your bitcoin is in your own control, not stored on a third party, if you store it on an exchange, it's not entirely correct to say you own bitcoin, not your keys not your coins.
This is what some people should know before they will start saying what they don't know, because the founder of BTC created it for human beings not only institution only, which is the reason you see poor and rich people are into BTC investment. Even in ten years to come I don't think institution will control BTC price and that is not the reason it was created, because buyers and sellers are the main users that is making the price of BTC pump and dump to make the wish of users to come through.

I think a lot of people understand this very well, not your keys not your BTC, because if you are the owner of the key it will surely be your BTC and you can have access to the BTC anytime you want.

I have never heard anybody make this statement in this context.
If you own something, then you should have control over it, but no single person or entity has control over Bitcoin. I also don't believe that normal folks like us own Bitcoin in this context. Bitcoin belongs to nobody in particular.
The only context where anybody owns Bitcoin is when they hold BTC in their address or spend it.

It's one thing to say institutions hold more influence on the market since they hold more Bitcoin; it's another thing to say they own Bitcoin. They wouldn't be wrong if people say institutions have more influence. That is simply the laws of economics at play.
Yes. I agree with you. Bitcoin is freely available to everyone and no one can control it. This is clear and everyone knows which is why Bitcoin is so unique because it's decentralized, and this is also its main strength.

However, sometimes large holders like Michael Saylor or Intantas who own Bitcoin can influence the price in the short term, all because they have large volumes. When they sell even a small amount it often causes the market to overreact as happened in recent weeks when Saylor sold even a small amount of Bitcoin. But this is only temporary, because in the long term, Bitcoin direction remains determined by global adoption, scarcity, and the strength of its protocol, not the decisions of institutions or companies.

If there's someone who is credited to own bitcoin or claim bitcoin as his own, it would be Satoshi, not the big institutions around. But even Satoshi does not make us feel this way, because he chose to impart bitcoin to us and make it known to us that bitcoin is here to provide us vast financial opportunities in the future.

Bitcoin bitcoin labeled as decentralized only mean one thing, no one owns bitcoin, not even Satoshi, the government or the banks. The institutions may only have purchased a bigger amount, but they can never own bitcoin, not even in the future.
