It's no longer news that unemployment ration in Nigeria is very high, so should we start crying over it?

No because as a Nigerian, we have seen that our government have no plans for us the citizens, but instead of seating still and crying over it, it would be more better and beneficial to look for a way out of it, by being self employed, because good jobs are scarce, and even when an opportunity arise, you will see like 80,000 people going for one or two opening position, so that is where only those with connection gets the opportunity. So as a Nigerian youth or a graduate it's best to use your tongue to count your teeth in other not to be trapped in abject poverty, because things are not going to get better with these evil politicians still ruling the country.

This is not new at all I'm Nigeria, or do we say it's not news, because the level of poverty as a result of unemployment or underemployment is too much and there is no governmental means out of it unless we find a way ourselves. The government are comfortable and the masses are struggling. So we have to find a way for ourselves and stop depending on them because they have failed completely.

One of the leading fight individuals against unemployment and underemployment here in Nigeria is self-employment, yea. People are going into personal skills and craft to survive, and surely, it's working well.

As for me, I have long quit the blame game on the government and switched to technology and skills for self development and dependency.

We are neglecting the fact that the government has work to do. Self employment is good. But we are talking of millions of people. Just imagine if everyone is self employed, we will have so many competitions. The money earned will still be used to survive, not build a well structured business. The government has to solve unemployment at a higher level. Removing millions from unemployment. Even at that, if the economy is shit hole, then your self employment skill will be slightly useless. Nigerians are already suffering from purchasing power and that is a problem in it's own. Government has a bigger role to play in this. Not saying being self employed or learning a skill is bad. It's just that if the system doesn't reward such skills, the you will be no different from someone who is unemployed.
