The approach in which people use to introduce Bitcoin to others matters how they will react or the type of responsibility they will put on the person. I don’t go around convincing people to come and invest in Bitcoin; what I can only do is share the knowledge with you and allow you to make your own decision. It's when you convince the person as if you are a shareholder who is benefiting from their investment that they can hold you fully accountable when they experience any loss due to their own carelessness.

We should share our knowledge about Bitcoin only if someone asks for it and we must also cover aspects of Bitcoin like it's volatility, bearish seasons and stuff like that which can give stress to newcomers who don't have that knowledge in advance. If someone is still willing to invest in Bitcoin then its his call and he must invest in Bitcoin by his own choice not because of our advice. There is no shortage of people who are active in Bitcoin and if someone is investing in Bitcoin then its for his own benefit only.
Information is available everywhere on the internet both good and bad. Sharing knowledge this days isn't with the motive of persuading anyone to invest it's just to create awareness which means it's the responsibility of who ever gets this information to do further study and research to either affirm or nullify what the have received. Ignorance in today's world is not an excuse because knowledge is the cheapest commodity today and everything needed to understand Bitcoin is at our finger tips. A new comer who isn't open to learning shouldn't be bothered about bitcoin investment because they will only end up seeking whom to shift their blames and frustration on.

I agree with you Boss, sharing information about Bitcoin should not only automatically be see as trying to convince anyone to invest sometimes the main aim is simply to expose people to an idea they may not have considered before but I seen it as having information every where doesn't mean everyone automatically know what they are talking about.

Some people are just ignorant and they won’t listen, he is trying something risky that he will regret later, is that your neighbour a beginner or he knows much about bitcoin, because with the way he behaves, it looks like he know much about bitcoin and try to over do what he don’t know despite the advise you gave, and is like he did not value his assets that is why he want to take the risk, no one in his right mind will try that kind of thing because his  seed phrase is not safe, this is why i don’t feel bad for some people when they lost their bitcoin or when they were scammed, because they are the ones that do some things that will make them lose their assets.

In the crypto world it can sometimes seem harsh if you don’t have deep knowledge and ignore all the risks. In many cases losing Bitcoin actually happens because the owners themselves are careless about basic security. Especially when they often ignore the Seed phrase even though it’s the main key storing it carelessly actually shows their own attitude of not valuing the assets they have.

This happens like in the case you mentioned, where someone was already advised but still acted recklessly. Even though they knew the risks they chose to ignore them. So, naturally the feeling of sympathy often decreases. In the crypto world, full responsibility lies in the hands of the owner, so when they deliberately take risks and end up losing it’s more of their own mistake rather than just bad luck.

As a crypto user, anything that happens to you, whether its good or bad, you are the only one responsible whatever you experience. If more crypto users have this mentality, they would be more security conscious and careful and less careless. However, it's unfortunate that this is not the case in reality as most persons are always looking for a third party to blame when they lose their money or something bad happens to them

Every actions that you do will always be your fault if turns out to be a scam or a failed projects, the reason is that you just follow someone without doing a bit of an effort to know what really is happening, you have to take responsibility if you are investing, you need to learn something on your own and not by following someone blindly, doing so will only result to failure, and you can't blame them, because no matter what happen the money spent is your money, and blaming others is laughable that is why when someone posted something they always say DYOR or do your own research.

A new comer who isn't open to learning shouldn't be bothered about bitcoin investment because they will only end up seeking whom to shift their blames and frustration on.

Many newbies are too confident that they can make a profit from Bitcoin with only the limited information they have.. they are so confident that they think they don't need to learn and consider the money they might make. But they don't realize that getting involved in Bitcoin investment isn't as easy as they think.. they don't understand that Bitcoin tends to be volatile and they need to prepare their finances properly before investing.. When they lose money because of their mistakes, they end up blaming others and calling Bitcoin a scam, when actually it's their own fault for not wanting to learn more about Bitcoin and just getting involved in things they don't understand.

It's just that newbies will probably be confused unless they do their own research and make the right choices.
That is why it is always advisable that people do their own research, especially the newbies, because without proper research they can easily get confused or misled. If they take time to study and do more research, it will help them acquire more understanding, which will support them in making better choices and navigating challenges when they are faced with them. So personal research really helps a lot if they really want to succeed in their plans.

Sometimes, the eagerness not to miss out is the reason why some newbies don't do their own research and just rely on what other people tell them about a project or something easy. This is a very wrong idea. It's not wise for someone to always be eager to invest just because they don't want to miss out on an investment.Anyone who invests blindly will definitely end up regretting it. It's always better for newbies to calm down, learn, and do more research on any project they want to invest in before going ahead with their investment. One of the main reasons why newbies lose money in the crypto industry is because they don't want to gain the right knowledge before starting their crypto journey.

You know there is this saying that for every action you do, there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you are very smart in decision making, you are going to have a good result in all the decisions that you make and if you don't pay attention to the decisions you make or don't twice about things, you are going to face the consequences. When you see people do things on the internet and they fomo into it, your first responsibility is to check before you join them, if it's worth it or it will lead you astray.

The internet isn't that hard to navigate through, if you can read and you can write properly and you know how to avoid anything that will make you lose your self especially if it's coming from greed, you will spend year in crypto without any obstacle especially scams.

It is true because most of the decisions that will be made we come from the user and that is a responsibility that needs to be taking seriously because you don't just buy and think it had ended there is  more to just buying you have to be ready to accept the fact that they will need to add up some spices for them to be a successful user that is how it works aside buying and accumulation security of what you are holding is another thing that needs to be taking seriously.

Exactly, this has been a common mistake that most newbies fall for, and they don't want to admit it. Crypto is not something that one should rush into, because rushing in with little or no knowledge may cause them to rush out without achieving anything. That is why newbies ought to understand that it is never too early or too late to enter crypto, as long as they are on the right path. They need to acquire knowledge and understanding of crypto, which will make their journey easier.

Ignorance is never an excuse. The problem is people rush to invest in Bitcoin and other digital assets due to FOMO but they fail to spend their time to learn how to protect their assets properly. They think investment starts and ends with just buying and selling to make profit not knowing it's far more than just buying, holding and selling. Even if you don't want to learn everything, learning how to secure your wallet is a must learn because it's the key to your assets. It's the most important part to start with else you'll be investing for someone somewhere to make profit.

The problem is that, people can spend hours or even weeks researching on which coin is best to buy and hold, but barely spend time or take a moment to think about what is the best way to secure these coins. And this is often where the real problem stems from because it doesn’t matter how profitable an investment really is, if the investor’s wallet becomes compromised, then all the investment or years spent on them is as good as nothing. Before even thinking about how much to make from an investment or even how much to put in, it’s crucial for every beginner to first consider and truly understand how to securely keep what they are about to invest in.

But some people would always tell you that as soon as you have a discretionary income you should get started, every aspect of bitcoin is very important, it wouldn’t be good to just prioritize discretionary income, I understand that is the primary step to making an investment, firstly I think it’s impossible to learn everything about bitcoin all at once, as you start investing you will definitely be learning along the journey of investing, but we should always endeavor to touch all aspects of Bitcoin investment, protecting our assets from scammers who exploit people should also be a priority while we are also working for a discretionary income to invest and buy bitcoin.

I think the bigger mistake is when people begin to treat financial readiness as the only thing that a beginner needs to start buying Bitcoin. Yes, having discretionary income is crucial to invest in Bitcoin but even with enough discretionary income, if an investor does not have understanding of basic wallet security, they’ll definitely stand a higher risk of losing everything they’ve worked hard for all the years. One doesn’t need to gain all the knowledge about Bitcoin before they get started, but there are ones that are essential, and having basic wallet security understanding is one amongst those things, because it would be better to have never even started investing than to get started only to lose all your holdings to a scammer due to your ignorance.

Doing a thorough research about a project is actually important because most projects are not necessarily scam but they’re pump and dump scheme,so when you carry out a thorough research about a project before participating it gives you this awareness and overview of what the project is all about. Then in regards to scam it’s also quite important to carryout your own research in other to detect a scam project, most excited people wouldn’t bother carrying out their research because the project has promised them a return that would be huge and it would come in a short term. There’s nobody to blame whenever an individual is scammed and the reason is because they were blinded by those scammers promises and they failed to make a research.

It not even possible to learn everything because there is a lot to still discover as time goes on, no matter how much you’ve known. But bitcoin security is very important and a must you should know, infact one of the first things you should learn about bitcoin because if you can’t safeguard your bitcoin or have no knowledge of safeguarding your bitcoin, you can easily lose all your investments in a twinkle of an eye, which no one wishes it to happen that way.

Having a good knowledge about investing in bitcoin is very important, which is how to also protect our bitcoin investments, by securing the safety of our assets is also important, we don’t just have to expose information about our wallets to anyone, this things are very important.
Right, but before deciding to buy Bitcoin, you should not only consider how much money to invest. Rather, you should also know how to keep the Bitcoin you buy safe. Because financial preparedness allows an investor to afford to buy Bitcoin, and knowledge about security helps him hold on to that asset. So both are important for long-term investors.

If no one is talking about this I will.
This is becoming a virus that's starting to affect many beginners in this crypto space.

I was sitting with a neighbour who is also into digital assets and he made mention about how good Robinhood platform as gotten.
He said he wanted to invest through them even though he has some Bitcoin.

I just advice him to not invest more than he can actually afford to lose, fast forward to this morning, he came back and show me this

Robinhood is now allowing recovery seed backup into their cloud he said, and when I checked I got angry 💢.
It's not even Robinhood owns cloud service.

I had to lecture this guy to never give in to any cloud storage backups, even if Robinhood own the cloud storage this is wrong.
To confuse him I had to tell him about what happened to me in the past storing recovery seed in a cloud account.

He was willing to take the risk simply because it is Robinhood, they are big he said again, but there is no such thing as been big when it comes to your recovery seed I told him, I think this will probably safe one or two beginners on here too.

Cloud storage is a wrong place for your recovery seed, do not be misleaded by centralised crypto companies who are acting like they know what's best for everyone.

yep I agree 100% with you. Not your keys not your crypto/money

Honestly you are right and you have a valid point, before buying bitcoin and invest in it we should consider the facts about where we will store it too and not just get carried away by the buying alone. Investing in bitcoin is important but where we will store it is also important too because when we make the wrong move in choosing where to store it either an exchange or non custodial wallet without researching then we will end up blaming ourselves when things get compromised.
And it even advisable and suitable to consider non custodial wallet for storing our bitcoin especially for long term than exchanges. Because with the series of situations of exchanges getting hacked constantly I don’t think exchanges are good options.

An investor should be very aware about storing Bitcoin. And should choose a wallet with a lot of consideration. In that case, an investor should take the advice of someone experienced and follow the advice of one and a half experienced senior members of this thread. I think we should be careful about our wallet and keep it as secret as possible. It should be kept secret from our family, relatives and all.
