Many holder of Bitcoin believe that the storing of all their Bitcoin in a single wallet is the simplest approach but while it may look convenient, it also comes with risk that people usually overlook.

‎The biggest concern to take note of is security if your wallet has been compromised or hacked through malware/virus phishing or someone gain access to your seed phrase, you can lose your entire Bitcoin balance in one incident keeping all your funds in one wallet can bring about a single point of failure.

‎Privacy can also be another main issue when all your Bitcoin is stored in one wallet, it becomes easier for anyone who has knowledge of one of your addresses to easily analyze your transactions and estimate your total holdings which reduces your financial privacy on the block chain.

‎Using one wallet fit make spending less efficient large wallet fit create unnecessary change out puts which dey make transactions very complex and sometimes e dey increase furthers transactions fee separating long term savings from spending funds go help you manage Bitcoin more effectively .

‎A smarter approach wey you go fit use na to dey use different wallet for different purposes Dey keep your long term savings in a secure hard wallet or cold wallet, dey use smaller hot for everyday transactions and make sure u dey mantin a separate wallet for testing or learning, this go fit limit your risk if one wallet is ever compromised.

‎ Remember say Bitcoin gives you complete control over your money but that also means say na your money but that also means say na you dey manage the risk diversifying your wallet setup is not about the mistrusting Bitcoin, it is about practicing good security and protecting your financial future.

Op I kinda agree with you that, keeping your funds in a different wallet is good, mostly for those who have long-term savings and also need a spending wallet. But also I won’t say everybody should believe that having multiple wallet is better.
This because having multiple wallet means that each will be having different seed phrase and backup wahala for all.so u can imagine that kind of stress, if one is not organized, you can imagine having different seed phrase and backup codes, one will end up loosing access to their funds because you couldn’t keep up with of the seeds.

And about privacy allot of our modern wallets are now generating new receiving address for each transactions. So the use of one wallet won’t link all your transactions.as far as the wallet do has good privacy practice avoiding addres reuse.

The best advice I would say will work out us having a wallet setup that will matches all your need. Somone(beginner  just starting to invest in Bitcoin won’t need different wallets yet, but someone who has the plan to invest in long term and a spending strategy will need two wallet for his operations.

Don't have all your assets in a single wallet because anything is possible to happen without you seeing it coming; it takes nothing from us to devise alternative storage whereby we could have confidently diversified our assets in more than one place. You should also not allow vulnerability to come in; in doing so, some have engaged in this act and lost their privacy. Be very conscious of what we do and be more deliberate about the safety precautions needed to be in place at the same time, ime so as not to miss out.

If as someone you cannot keep what you have safe definitely even if you keep it in twelve different places the same thing that happens to the first will also come for the rest so actually Bitcoin is not much safer in different wallet than in one wallet if you are protecting it from scammers, although I no that it takes only one unauthorized access to clear all the Bitcoin in one wallet but however is from the fault of the holder that a hacker could steel there Bitcoin from there wallet. Transfering Bitcoin to more wallet also add more additional risk or danger to the fear that's already there about scammers because some person could be very misplacing and forgetful of there password or seed phrases.

The major point of failure is having your major holdings in a hot wallet, hot wallets are very prone to social engineering. It's best to have your major holding in an air-gapped cold storage device, safe from 3rd party interference.

You can use passphrase to add an extra layer of security to your wallet and don't keep the both in the same location, that way anyone who has access to your seed phrases recovers an empty wallet.

You can also use a Multi-signature wallet and keep different seed phrases in different locations so that having access to one of it does not spend your coins.

Finally, have more than one backup, a single backup is no backup. Instead of  creating different wallets and having multiple seed phrases, in the case of assets segmentation, use the same seed phrase and different passphrases, that way you have lesser details to preserve and still achieve your target of having more than one wallet.

Good advice. Also one should avoid using an exchange to store their assets because anything can happen and they will lose it all.
This one is even the worst of it because you can never predict what happened next, you never can tell if the exchange in question is crashing the next minute God forbid you can lose everything. That is something that could be very difficult to bear.

That's true, most of us are obviously thinking that direction,  thinking that is the lasting solution of being totally scam free of which it's not. If certain protective measure's aren't put in place we can still lost every of our assets along the line but that isn't what we are praying for.

Why are you making this look like a big deal? There is no stress having multiple wallets it is just that some people are just being lazy. I personally have multiple wallets and I don't feel stress while handling them, I understand that some people might be so careless that they will misplace Thier seed phrase but there are ways in which they can handle multiple wallets without misplacing Thier seed phrase which is by naming them. wallet 1 seed phrase, wallet 2 seed phrase and so on. If they go about it this way there's no way they would misplace them . I feel having multiple wallets is the best because it minimize the risk of Lossing all.

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong in keeping your Bitcoin in one wallet if you can carefully maintain the security of that wallet without letting your seed phase or private key to be exposed to anyone and also if you are not always using that wallet to carry out transaction  on daily basis. For example, if you are someone that uses Bitcoin for a daily transaction and you are also a holder, you can have two addresses, one of them should be your cold wallet address which you only send your newly acquired Bitcoin to, and the second address can be your hot wallet where you spend from any time you want to do a quick transaction. If you are a long term holder, I think one wallet address is enough. Although if you want to store your Bitcoin in different address, it's not bad as long as you can still carefully protect your seed phrase.

There's no problem in  having multiple wallet but if you can't manage to keep one safe then what's the point of having many.  If you're afraid of someone getting accessed to your sats then learn to make it secure, create decoys, have backups  instead of creating upto 6 wallet or how much you need not to lose what you can't afford again?

If I have to support having multiple wallet(as main) then it has to be at most 3, recommend 2  to hold your shi* together. The more the wallets the more you get closer to even losing your bitcoin (s) than someone with just a single wallet .

The only advantage I can see from having multiple decentralized wallet, for saving and for spending and other purposes. If having only one wallet for everything, then sooner or later, your investment is going to collapse, it's harder controlling one wallet for everything, it ruins an an investment journey I must say because I've experienced the damage.

It's way too better to diversify many wallets for different purposes, it's even way more better to only keep the wallet for spending in your device while deleting the savings wallet. When funds comes into your main wallet, you transfer the respective amount to spending, savings and miscellaneous wallets.

There is a saying, 'Never put all your eggs in one basket.' The meaning of this sentence is that if you keep all your money (Bitcoins) in one place, then if there is an attack there, all your money will be at risk. You also have a risk in terms of security or privacy, your funds can be lost due to malware or your mistake. If you have all your Bitcoins in one fund, then all your Bitcoins will be lost in one mistake. If you keep your Bitcoins in multiple funds, then you will have to make multiple mistakes to lose all your Bitcoins. That is, you will not lose all your money at all. Even since Bitcoins are stored in the blockchain, it is possible to know the amount of your Bitcoins by address. In this case, storing Bitcoins in multiple funds plays an important role in maintaining privacy.

Self soverignty no be beans and moi-moi business o. It takes a lot of self awareness and knowledge of risk management practices that includes security technicality to be able to manage a portfolio holding all your Bitcoin investment.
Also, more loss can come from talking too much or spilling too much secret mostly when one is intoxicated or overly excited and that's why talking less and avoiding drama that results to the talk of 'how much you get' dey important.

We know the risk involved from phishing attacks and scammers and it's imperative to always remember to keep seed phrases secure, don't click on anyhow links or open sites without proper or clear directory and ultimately always use a cold wallet or even a wallet you have to pay a premium amount to ensure your coins remain safe from malware attacks.

Exactly bro You have just nailed one of the realistic problems there too, leaving your coins in any exchange is like leaving cash in a gambling casino wallet…in addition exchange get hacked and or let say it get frozen, and boom withdrawals get locked and the person goes bankrupt, and the funny part of it is the statement “Not your key, Not your coins” come into reality…to me if the person is careful with just 1 wallet then being careless with 5 wallets and all get hacked it best to stick with the one…

‎ Remember say Bitcoin gives you complete control over your money but that also means say na your money but that also means say na you dey manage the risk diversifying your wallet setup is not about the mistrusting Bitcoin, it is about practicing good security and protecting your financial future.

The truth is that there's no hidden secret, I'd you fuck around you definitely will find out and it's not going to be funny. But then, it's not bad to have all your funds on single wallet. You are correct on the aspect where it's important to have your long term and short term holdings on two separate wallets. That way you are abel to separate your savings from your spendings. As a crypto holder you major goals remain to protecting your funds at all cost. And the best way to do that is by knowing fully well, what you are doing. People don't usually care much about their privacy because they do not know the dangers involved in it, so they don't see much difference. But for someone who understands what privacy means, it's best to protect it as well...
