of Israel's activities in Gaza and south lebanon.

the war started. It was on the premise that Iran was weeks away for developing a nuclear weapon,
the same story line Netanyahu has been using for 30 years.

So when the US and Israel got their 4sses handed to them and Iran responded with control of the
strait of Hormuz the reason for continuing it was about the strait.

Iran is the heaviest sanctioned country in the world and has been sanctioned since the 70's so
when they took control of the strait pressure came on the worlds oil prices, Trump actually
didnt react to Iran moving millions of barrels of oil.

So essentially while Iran has been under attack they have become empowered.

The answer to your question based on my description above is that the war is nonsensical,
its based on a 30 year quest by Netanyahu to drag the US into attacking Iran but they have got
waay waay more than they bargained for or forseen.

Well, Iran is fighting for their survival, and they have realized that they hold some of the best cards, so enriching themselves along the way is not bad. At the end of the day, every country looks out for its own interest first. Both sides are playing the game smartly. Iran used the pause to sell oil and make billions, while the U.S used the time to restock weapons and reposition. It's like both of them are winning in their own way, even though the public only sees the conflict. And other countries like China are also cashing in on the situation as well.

I think to understand how international politics can work, we have the bold example of Iran and USA conflict and we analysis how countries prefer their own interests and it don't care where the world is going through it's decisions. Iran strategies is different he take this conflict as an opportunity to show the world how it's strong and also through this, Iran sell oil to other countries and earns billions of dollars while in this duration America and it's beneficiary have a time to restore the losses like they repair weapons and rebuild there infrastructure and make strategies how they will further proceed this conflict. Yes, some of narrative that stick out when US-Israel attacked Iran that the initiator is Israel with confidence that Iran will be conquered in a matter of fingers. if seen from the history and the biography of Netanyahu what you explained makes sense, from his action and his speech we can esily understand how much he hates Islam and Arab countries, and some of his policy strengthen the narrative which mean Netanyahu has strong motive to combat Iran as one of the most vocal and full confrontation against Israel for supporting Palestine Iran's action different with other country that choose diplomatic and negiotiation way, Iran actively provide support to group opposed Israel.
