You hit the nail on the head. People constantly forget that Drake is an official partner and ambassador for Stake. That $1.5M isn't coming out of his personal checking account; it's part of the casino's marketing budget.

We do not know the rules of the contract between Stake and Drake, what if the money actually comes out of his pockets just like the people that are posting for Stake on this forum by wearing Stake's signature, avatar and personal texts? We should not just make conclusion. But it is possible that he used the money he wanted from Stake endorsement to make the bet but in a way the money is his and lost it when he bet and lost the bet.

When losses keeps getting familiar it starts to look like curse, this is the mentality of every human being but they choose to forget that this loss is coming from a place of prediction.

Even the person who lost the money is self made already, that part of him isn't about luck, it is hard working, but in the case of gambling it's all about luck, it doesn't matter if the challengers are way stronger, luck always have it's ways too.

In this World Cup Final, I think a lot of people actually under estimated  Spain, I know a lot of people that predicted that Argentina was going to win the game, even on a radio Chanel that was doing a show on who will win the world cup, I saw that 90% of people that was calling the radio station predicted that Argentina was going to win, so, this is not just about Drake, he also had believe in Argentina as much as a lot of people did too. You see this Drake, he is one of the most non challant gambler I have ever known, this guy gamble without sense of reasoning. There are plenty of possibilities in the Argentina vs Spain but he feels like Argentina team are invisible and so he will go with them 100%, that's very wrong and not making sense, it's better to bet in a way that some bet will guarantee your money, there are even some small options that will give guarantee return on his bet but I guess he has money to lose.

I don't think this bet qualifies as a classic Drake curse, as it's a bet on a clear underdog (check the odds). Drake became famous with his curse because he usually bet on favorites and those favorites usually lost (at least that's how I remember this meme story). As for the game itself, it showed that Argentina is on the level of Jordan, Algeria, and similar teams, they made it to the final largely by chance and largely thanks to the referee's help. But it's good that football prevailed yesterday and Argentina was shamefully stripped of the title

It looked really promising at the start. There were a lot of people who held the same belief as Drake.

If I had seen a post that mentioned Drake betting on Argentina, I really wouldn't have changed my mind despite the whole Drake curse that is known by all. I would have stood by my choice (I didn't bet though)...

Maybe, in the next big game, he's going to break, but for now, he should accept the fact that he lost.

Now, curse following Drake? That's a myth, you guys really think this is the only bet Drake placed in the just concluded world Cup? I highly doubt.
Drake must have placed a lot of bets in the just concluded world Cup which he won, I also believe that from the group stage to the finals which was played yesterday, Drake must have been betting on Argentina to win their match which he had always won until this very final that Argentina failed to win against Spain.

And besides, a lot of people believed that Argentina would beat Spain the win the cup again, and as such, a lot of people placed bet on Argentina to win which they lost, it is absolutely insane to think or believe that Argentina lost their match against Spain simply because Drake bet on them to win, what about millions of other bettors around the world that bet on same Argentina to win?

Good thing Drake cashed out the bet because he would have lost a lot of money, watching Argentina's performance in the first half of the match, if I was drake, I would have taken the same action, cash out the bet because from how Argentina played in the first half, it was certain that they were going to win the match.
