I don't think it's a good idea to rely on monthly upkeep to invest because there's no way such student can catch up with his/her investments. Mind you upkeep money isn't money you earn by yourself, it usually come from family members or another person as a support. You see that kind of money won't work for investment because anytime maybe people sponsoring you face difficulties, it would definitely affect your investment. Whether you're a students or not, never depend on someone else money to invest, it's advisable to have your own source of income for investing.
He can invest with money from his family, maybe he will not be able to keep an emergency fund, but he can definitely invest. If for some reason his family stops giving him money, then he can stop his investment in the middle and start again after he gets a job. But if a person is interested in investing from his student life, it will be more helpful for him to continue in the future. Because we know that the next stage of education is when a boy gets involved in employment, life is no longer easy for him. In the present era, there are very few boys who are not involved in drugs. But most of the boys are now involved in drugs, that too from their student life.

What you should understand is you don't have to force yourself to invest whether in bitcoin or any other investments, if you are not financially stable. How is it possible for someone that is not earning on their own to invest? You must have something doing so that you don't have to wait for someone else's money to make your investment grow.

As you are waiting for monthly upkeep, don't forget that there are still many other things you will need to take care as a student. And no matter how hard you try to reduce your expenses, if you invest that money you might end up struggling financially and that's a bad habit of any investors because that can lead to panic selling.
A lot of people focus on investing but forget that financial stability comes first, one shouldn't put oneself under pressure just to say one are an investor, building a good source of income managing one expenses and learning how investment work are all apart of the process. A good investors knows when to invest and when to be patient.

True. Cos I don’t see someone without a source of income having discretionary income and we all know that without discretionary income, investing in Bitcoin isn’t always possible, except of course you wanna put yourself under some serious financial stress. Even if a person isn’t completely financially stable, but at least the person needs to have a source of income, even if it’s not stable, but let it be able to generate discretionary income overtime.

I understand your point, but I think the situation is a bit different when we're talking about students. Not every student has a stable source of income, yet some receive more than enough allowances or financial support from their parents or guardians. If their essential needs, such as tuition, accommodation, and feeding, are already covered, any remaining money could be considered discretionary income, which can be used for investing in bitcoin, a student may invest a small amount without putting themselves under financial pressure, if the allowance is only enough to cover basic expenses, then investing should not be a priority. The key is to invest only money that is truly surplus and not needed for essential living expenses.

The goal of every student should be long-term. It is better for a person or a student to have some Bitcoin than not to have any. So if a student wants to invest in Bitcoin, he can do so. If they start investing now, they will learn to manage their finances very quickly and in the future, when they find a source of income, they will not have any problem in managing their finances properly in terms of investment.
Considering the average Nigerian who struggles to enter into a higher institution or even struggle to pay their fees, this advice would be completely irrelevant to them because tell me how you find it difficult to feed and pay your fees yet you want to invest in bitcoin, with which money? Let's be realistic man.
The best approach to investing in bitcoin as a student irrespective of your financial condition is to get a side hustle. No matter how tight the schedules are there is always time for yourself and that time could be best utilized for reading, doing your side hustle, resting... rather than hanging with friends discussing irrelevant matters.
