This is what the police officers has been doing for a long time and the leaders are aware of it and has been mute because the citizens has been crying out loud on how the police officers are extorting from them on the road and nothing was done, Police brutality and extortion has been on the increase but I thank God that those four Police officers has meet their Waterloo. There's an adage that says everyday for the thief and one day is for the owner that is exactly what happened and I'm very sure they will be dismissed from police force with immediate effects and this will serve as a warning to others.

I was just wondering how on earth they couldn't even recognize the independent corrupt practices and other related offenses commission Chairman, this is to tell you that they ain't even following up what is going on in the police force, they are just carried away by the money they extort from motorists on the roads.

If a Lebanese can be scammed 1.6 billion Naira and a Cameroonian scammed 507 million Naira in a police station, it's very easy for police officers to extort money forcefully from Nigerians, because when the head is bad all the whole body becomes bad too. The level of extortion among police men is on a high rise, I love the way those four police officers mistakenly took 53, 000 Naira from the chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission because this body is established to investigate and prosecute cases of corruption, and since this corruption case happened between policemen and ICPC chairman, those policemen will be dealt with and use as scape goats for other policemen to learn.

What surprise me most about this entire story is that they never take their time to be conversant about the country and even observe the law in its order, how possible could a police officer claim not to know the chairman of ICPC to the extent that the exchange words together and even go to the point of receiving bribery from him, I'm sure this man does not appear in a unique form with convoy or other escorts around him and this is why they are also unsuspicious about his position or status.

Nigeria is a very corrupt country and the police officer are not left out. They do this all the time to citizens,  so I am surprised on this news. My joy is just that they have been caught and they will definitely pay for it. Sometimes I don't want to blame them for collecting bribe, because I feel our government don't take good care of them, so they are just try to find a way to survive,  but on the other hand I understand how it feels if a police officer stops a citizen on the road and forcefully collect money from them, because that is what most of the police officers do on the road. It also painful that they also collect bribe and set a guilty person free, while the innocent suffer for it. So I really think it's a good one that they were caught and they should be meant to pay for their crime and hopefully it will serve as a lesson to other police officers that are involved in this kind of act.

This call for an urgent need for the Nigeria police to re trained their officers because the numbers of misconduct of police officers in the country is high. Nigeria police officer are fond of extorting citizen especially motorists, they will look for any allegations to accuse you of, then they will threaten to shoot you if you don't cooperate or comply with their requests.  those officers actually go what they deserve and unless they are severely penalised probably dismissal from the force and jail terms, other police officer who are corrupt won't learn anything.

Finally it has gotten to were they want to rob one of there own, so at least the government would no that what everybody has been saying about police abuses was true and not assumption because they have done worst to innocent people on the street and that is also how police has been creating checkpoints in different places that is illegal so that they would get to the bus drivers for the money they usually collect from them, so actually if the commissioner of police wants to fight the corruption, is for them to create an undercover agent to always arrest them on the act.
