With great power comes great responsibility! It sucks to see moderator doing stuff like this, and removing scam accusation was insane move from him. I don't know what was he thinking, especially knowing that everything is saved and archived in forum this days. There was a time few years ago when I would apply for moderator job to theymos, but I am not sure I would do it today, except maybe moderator for local Croatian board.
Exactly. There were like 3 copies of each thread on the forum at least. There's no way any savvy user who happens to be the OP of a scam accusation doesn't pull it back up at one of these sites.

Obviously, for this moderator, the forum has not been as valuable for a long time (judging by his activity in posting) as it seems to many. He didn't write anything and probably "worked," not very actively, but still, if he continued to be a moderator, he probably received a certain fee from the admin. It's also hard to believe that he didn't know about all the archives that are stored on the forum, and by deleting the topics, he knew that they could "resurrect." It's more likely that the fact that can be called "What if it works?" works here, and the removal proposal, and perhaps the amount offered, forced his "honesty" to compromise with his conscience. As a result, he deceived not only the forum but also those who paid him. And considering that he may have alternative accounts, he hasn't lost anything. Perhaps his IP address could be checked for the existence of "doppelgangers" in order to no longer grant him the privilege to use the forum with the mask of an honest person from another account.

I am really sorry for theymos that he has to go through all of this. I do not know how he currently feels but it does look like he had some pretty rough years over all. The Mixer bans, the Signature Campaign spammers turning Bitcoin Talk into a large wall of non sense text and now the bribes. I am pretty sure there was more but I can not remember right now.
The moderation team has been pretty much shot in the foot by one member and for what? Make things difficult for theymos, have people lose money and be extorted and put the rest of the moderators in a difficult spot. I imagine events like these make theymos seriously re consider some decisions and he does not deserve this and nor do the rest of people who had to suffer for a stupid bribe.
And there is not much that can be done to prevent this from happening in my opinion. Some people can be bought for next to nothing. Others appear more trust worthy but end up being bought for simply more money. It is about ethics, principles, morality. I could really be offered ten million Dollars right now and I would still not do this first of all because it would cause a chain of catastrophy. People may lose their jobs or even kill them selves because I took a bribe, it is simply terribly wrong no matter how you take it.
It pretty much all goes down to the one thing I keep mentioning over and over again. It is great that we have a large community built around here and that most of us get along but we should really focus a lot more on the idea of trustLESS. Our current moderators are selected for a reason and I really do think the way theymos selects them is a very structured process but one of them jumping in the 'enemy boat' does not mean the rest are at risk too. And they are not saints, they are human, they can change, some of them may show a face that differs from their actual personality. Theymos may pick who he thinks is best but he can not control their actions. Anyway. My way is the following. Trust no Member, no platform, no manager, absolutely no one. Not even the ones you promote, not even the people you talk to or the device you are using. Stick to what is factual and verifiable and let the rest be.
Generally. The way Bitcoin Talk works is very smart. We have all types of Boards where so many findings are reported. Alternative accounts, spammers, scammers, abusers and what not. Never would I have ever even considered a bribe request would be coming to any of the moderators and I do not think theymos thought of this possibility either. And even if he did. What could he have really done to prevent it? Increase their payments? He can not out bid a scammer willing to pay a million Dollars bribe! And in a way, I would much rather see them discovered and shamed than keep the morally corrupt ones in a protective bubble.
We have seen very respectable people here appear to lose their mind or something and turn their great reputation in to a really large pile of foul smelling crap over night. Great profitable platforms scamming all of a sudden. It keeps happening and it will keep happening. Finding a way to stop the bribe would not even prevent a similar future catastrophe because you know how it is said, if there is a will there is a way!
The best thing we can do is hope this does not repeat. Shame on you, bribed moderator!

He didn't write anything and probably "worked," not very actively, but still, if he continued to be a moderator, he probably received a certain fee from the admin.
Actually, he seems to eat a blind salary, gets paid without working, never greets people on his local board, has been inactive for a long time and when I found out about this case, myself felt ashamed as a member of the same local board. Being a moderator is supposed to do well on his local board, giving some input and suggestions as well as some programs to advance the local board, but over the years there has been no progress whatsoever, Only ordinary members like me and others have to work hard for our own local board. -snip- People may lose their jobs or even kill them selves because I took a bribe, it is simply terribly wrong no matter how you take it.
And the effect is that some people may view our local board negatively, because the moderator is from our local board in Indonesia. But I hope this case will not make admins, moderators and other members look negatively at us who are from the local board of Indonesia, he is just an individual who deserves punishment and not all of us do bad and immoral things like that, We are still active in this forum from then until now.

Oh wow thanks for bringing this up Long story short, Sapta introduced me to Betmanor's owner (at least, that's what he claimed). He wanted me to work on some design projects for Betmanor, which, to this day, I still haven't been paid for. https://i.ibb.co/fV2TT3Vs/Screenshot-2026-07-26-145216.pngI'm an active gambler across many of the gambling platforms that have been advertised on the Bitcointalk forum. Betmanor offered me an incredible promotion: a 300% deposit bonus with only a 5x wagering requirement. Honestly, what gambler wouldn't be tempted by an offer like that? Especially since the project came through one of the forum moderators, I had no reason to suspect anything was wrong. Without thinking twice, I deposited $1.5k, which gave me a total balance of $4.5k. https://i.ibb.co/4nmGz1cc/Screenshot-2026-07-26-141916.pngI know Hhampuz not just as a campaign manager, He is one of my best friends on the forum (before Betmanor ruined that). After receiving the bonus offer from Betmanor, I immediately told Hhampuz about it and helped him get the same promotion that I had received. Unfortunately, after both of us completed the wagering requirements, neither of us was able to withdraw our funds. https://i.ibb.co/pjrPBCTQ/Screenshot-2026-07-26-142219.pngIn the end, both Hhampuz and I were scammed by Betmanor. However, Hhampuz's losses were much greater than mine. As a result, I also accepted the consequence of receiving negative trust from Hhampuz because I had brought him to that scam platform.

Unfortunately, we may never know how this deal started. I suspect there may have been a middleman who helped connect both sides, for reasons we don't know.
A) It's hard to believe the casino just happened to find the perfect moderator who was willing to help them without contacting other moderators. B) It's also hard to believe that sapta contacted casinos first, knowing it could eventually ruin his reputation if the truth came out. If sapta didn't care about the reputation then it's another story though.
Either way, betraying the community's trust for personal gain is disgraceful. sapta abused his position and destroyed his credibility. Integrity and transparency matter, and his actions showed neither.

A could be just like a bomb for the casino. I still believe they find it by connection of the casino. Then for B sapta connected to casino on different name, he not stupid either to say having account or me it's Sapta from Indonesia with Moderator position while offering these service to the casino. He just can claim to them he can make the thread go or be deleted but every communication to the casino he uses different name. Casino could be not believe on something like these directly, they can just ask the person who is offering these offers the proof whos gonna do it these activity (maybe some account: but sapta could answer have some connection or friend and not gonna to reveal his account name with Moderator position). He can give a test service for one case to be deleted as proof of his work once the casino see is real then they hired it for more.

Another direct corporate link between Winna and Dominic JamilFirst Bananas GmbH, a Berlin company managed and legally represented by Dominic Jamil, registered the WINNA word mark in 2024, according to the company and intellectual-property information displayed on North Data: https://www.northdata.com/First%20Bananas%20GmbH,%20Berlin/Amtsgericht%20Charlottenburg%20(Berlin)%20HRB%20252335%20BFirst Bananas GmbH is registered with the Charlottenburg Local Court under HRB 252335 B. Its registered business address is Lietzenburger Straße 77, 10719 Berlin, and Dominic Jamil has been its sole authorised managing director since its incorporation in May 2023. Its registered corporate purpose includes developing online projects and carrying out online promotional activities. Private informations let me know the actual hearquarters of Winna are located in that address. All these people are involved in the new company, Over99 which probably is the matrix of all the fraud. This is extremely relevant. Dominic Jamil has previously been connected to Heybets, a previous rug pull, while First Bananas GmbH—his current Berlin company—appears as the registrant of the WINNA trademark. This creates a direct documentary connection between Jamil’s German corporate structure and the Winna brand itself. We now have: a Berlin company managed by Dominic Jamil;the same Berlin address appearing throughout the wider corporate network; a company openly recruiting for iGaming, sports-betting, casino, crypto, player-support and community-management activities; and, most importantly, that company’s registration of the WINNA word mark in 2024.This is no longer based solely on similarities in DNS records, website structures, personnel or office addresses. The trademark registration appears to provide a direct intellectual-property link between Dominic Jamil’s German company and Winna.

Hey everyone,
We were surprised to learn about this situation. Winna did not instruct or authorize anyone to pay for the removal of forum posts or scam accusations.
In each of the referenced cases, we have publicly responded with our side of the situation and explained why we disagree with the version of events presented in the respective accusation. We therefore had no reason to seek the removal of these discussions.
We are now reviewing our relationships with external agencies and contractors to determine whether any third party may have acted independently and without our approval. We take this matter seriously and will cooperate with the forum administration where necessary.
Yo, why don't you reply publicly on my cases? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5587295.new#new

For some, making the few hundreds legitimately feels more like a waste of time. Practices like this really shows how an individual goes about everything even irl. There's a Latin saying... "Under a sheep's skin often hides a wolfish mind". He tried to blend in for a while, but it doesn't take too long for a dog, being a DOG to begin sniffing around for crumbs.

They keep claiming they responded "and they did good", but they simply don't. There's more than enough proof on this forum and across social media that they just screw people over. At this point, their (Bennett's) words carry no weight anymore—they've completely lost all credibility.

Theymos, if you do not mind giving more information, is there any consequence for the guilty moderator that may arise from this situation other than removing him from the Moderators team? ----- And the effect is that some people may view our local board negatively, because the moderator is from our local board in Indonesia. But I hope this case will not make admins, moderators and other members look negatively at us who are from the local board of Indonesia, he is just an individual who deserves punishment and not all of us do bad and immoral things like that, We are still active in this forum from then until now.
One Indonesian taking a bribe does not make all Indonesians shame less. If anyone changes their mind particularly after this single incident, it is on them and they were going to throw blame and accusations sooner or later anyway!
