Android or iPhone for secure crypto storage?

I can buy an iPhone inexpensively, but at the same time I love Samsung. Which of these operating systems is safer for crypto wallets?

For storing crypto locally for needs, I have been using an iPhone. It's quite harder to attack the iPhone operating system than Android's. Otherwise, I have been storing my crypto in a hardware wallet. I don't want to take the risk of losing big funds on a mobile phone that often stays connected with the internet. I keep only some funds for trading or paying instantly for something on the mobile device. It's better to purchase an open-source hardware wallet to store your crypto.

For me whether the phone is iphone or Android it is not a safe option for me because one can forget and link the phone to the internet which may expose the phone to risk that may lead to scammers hacking through the phone to copy vital informations that might lead lost of Bitcoin private keys and phrases.  Using other mean that is not connected to the internet is the best and safest ways to secure becoin investment, the phone might be stolen or gets damaged.

In my personal opinion, both iPhones and Androids are equally safe if we can manage them properly. But if you want to be more practical, I think the iPhone is indeed better, because basically the iPhone has very tight security and not just any application can be installed there if it is not safe. So, in that case, the iPhone is indeed better than Android.

But Android is actually the same, as long as we can personally manage it well, such as not installing suspicious applications or opening suspicious sites. So that way, I think it will be safe. Also, if you want more peace of mind, I think it's better to save the wallet phrase by writing it down on paper, after you have confirmed that the wallet phrase is correct.

So if you don't trust storing your crypto or bitcoin on your phone, then just delete the wallet application, it will be safer. But this is a last resort in my personal opinion, if you really don't trust your phone.

I used to have an android and its like you can freely do anything about your phone and it was too much vulnerable with the attacks once you downloaded or even misclick from somewhere but right now I shifted into iOS so most likely Apple has a very good security and restrictions to the thing you access and the apps you wanted to download so actually this is what other people paid for. The security of their information which is worth paying for. But of course its just a temporary still do recommend having a cold wallet, if you can afford iPhone that costs around 1k$ you can afford a hardware wallet less than that.

It depends on the wallet app you install. If the installed wallet app operates in watch-only mode and is used only to build and broadcast transactions signed by the paired hardware signing device, then it really doesn't matter which mobile device you use. If you like Samsung, then choose this manufacturer. That said, the best security setup would be a multisig one. You might want to consider it.

You made the right choice if your major concern is the crypto safety on your phone, as Samsung fixes it even as you enjoy its extra functionality. I would be concerned if you chose another android brand, but Samsung is fine, as they rolled out Samsung Knox Vault years ago in a bid to protecting cryptographic keys on the phone, and your choice of S24 is within this feature. I think S21 was the first one to come with it. However, security comes in layers, and regular phones will always come with their crypto security concerns, by virtue, using a hardware is your best option.

That's a very wonderful observation about both iPhone and android security structures and levels but is will say it mostly depends who and how both are used.
Android gadgets gives maximum freedom to all depending on choice but that doesn't mean those gadgets security signals can be tampered with if permission is not given. Although I wouldn't conclude on that for now even as I have not experienced such deficiency in security but I think proper investigation should be conducted so as to ascertain the possible cause of that bridge in security structure because other factors maybe responsible for the failure and all blames channelled to the gadgets in use at that particular time.
