This will be the 6th edition of this new tournament. So far 3 different English teams won this trophy.

Since there were Conference League qualifying matches, my first post was about that.
My pick for the championship at the end of the season is Atalanta.

Başakşehir had performed quite well in their friendly matches, but today they drew 1-1 against Inter Turku. Inter Turku secured the advantageous result.
Inter Turku has remained unbeaten in their last 10 league matches. It is natural for them to be in better form, given that their league season is currently underway.
I had expected Başakşehir to advance, but right now, Turku is the side closer to going through.

From the first edition of the Europa conference league till now, English teams has been the most dominant because they have won 3 out of the 5 seasons. Out of the 5 teams you presented in the poll, i think that Freiburg will most likely win the conference league this season. My reason is because Freiburg made great effort in the Europa League last season, but they were unlucky to lose the trophy to Aston Villa so now that they have found themselves in a lower competition namely; the Europa conference league, they will try to win it so that they can console themselves from the sad experience they faced in the Europa league final last season, they will want to correct it in the conference league. Brighton may also go far but i don't think they can win it. Another team that can likely win it is Atalanta, though they performed badly when the season was about to end last season, but they can do better at the Europa conference league games. I don't know about Monaco and Getafe, they may not go far.

I watched the Başakşehir game, but it wasn't very enjoyable. To be honest I didn't sit down and watch them for the full 90 minutes, I just had the TV on and checked in during the key moments. Başakşehir should have beaten this team under normal circumstances. But the Turkish league hasn't started yet, while the Finnish league has already played 16 weeks. So it's perfectly normal for the opponent to be ready. Still, Başakşehir should have won at home. The rematch will be tougher than expected.

It's too early to talk about the cup because I think the real favorites will be the teams that end up here after the Champions League and Europa League qualifying rounds.

Last season, Crystal Palace was the clear favorite. I think only a few more teams have been confirmed to participate this season, which is why there are so few teams in the poll. I won’t cast my vote right now, but maybe I’ll participate in the next poll. Among the current teams, Atalanta looks strong. Even though we don’t often see Italian clubs win European trophies, they might have a chance here.

With the turkish league going up in quality it looks other teams expect the big three arent big in quality. To draw against Inter Turku that is a really weak team is just dissapointing. Its still the start of the qualification but at home you must win or win big to finish the match up.

Braga barely on the other hand won against Zeleznicar that was really better then Braga and Zeleznicar had a few chances and could have done something but its a shame that they didnt get at least a draw.

It's hard to say when Brighton will be representing England in the Conference League, i'm aware Crystal Palace finished worse last season but gave everything they had in the Conference League, ending up as the league winner, the same maybe for Brighton but until the season starts, it is only a benefit of doubt.

Brighton transfer market hasn't wowed me yet, they may perform averagely this new season, except they want to fully focus on a particular tournament, the way Crystal Palace worked for the Conference title.

That's true, the competition is yet to begin and the teams that will be in the competition is still trying to ensure they sign players that would help them to succeed in the competition, if we start voting on the favourite team for the competition when the season is yet to start  we may end up picking the wrong team since we haven't watched them play.

In the Başakşehir-Inter Turku match, the first half was more evenly matched, and the game seemed to be up for grabs. In the second half, Başakşehir took complete control of the match, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory. They created plenty of chances but just couldn’t finish them off. We saw once again the disadvantages of starting the season early. Fenerbahçe faced the same issue on the field. The preparation process, the hot weather, and most importantly match fitness make a huge difference.

Inter Turku came into the match much better prepared. Their season is actively ongoing. That was their biggest advantage, after all. The rematch will be played in Finland next week. The climate will change, and most importantly, this will be particularly noticeable for players who aren’t used to playing there. They’ve made things quite difficult for us, but hopefully they’ll advance next week.

The choice seems a bit difficult, but for now, I'm favoring Atalanta for the 2026/27 UEFA Conference League season. However, Brighton, from England, could also make a difference if Atalanta lacks the ability to compete here. Every season, we've all seen that teams that focus too much on two major trophies from different leagues often suffer from fatigue in their key players, so Atalanta will need to manage this next season to continue to advance in this competition while also fighting in their domestic league.

That's true, the competition is yet to begin and the teams that will be in the competition is still trying to ensure they sign players that would help them to succeed in the competition, if we start voting on the favourite team for the competition when the season is yet to start  we may end up picking the wrong team since we haven't watched them play.

When you look at the results of the last 4 seasons of the conference league, it is very clear that English clubs will once again be the favorites to win this competition.
Of the last 4 winners of this competition, 3 were English clubs, which is no coincidence of course.
Unlike other European leagues, where we usually have 1, 2 or a maximum of 3 clubs that dominate the league competition, in the English league there are many more quality teams, the league is of higher quality and more balanced and their representatives are always competitive in European competitions.

Yea, Atalanta is my favorite too because they have the strength than other teams in this competition. Brighton might be a big headache to them if Atalanta isn't in a good form. Their performance last season wasn't good enough though, but they can be better off next season.

I wouldn't say that because English teams are always the favorite to win this league and favor Brighton over Atalanta because it will be different this time around.

The English teams are definitely dominant because the Premier League is a very difficult championship and the most coveted in which to play for this reason the English teams dominate, even being in the lower part of the table in England does not mean being poor, in the Premier League there are no poor teams given that even a match between first and last can become an absolutely fun match.

They are all matches that for me do not have an important value given that they are all pre-season friendlies that do not win anything and where we compete for the number, the only thing for which it is functional is the fact that it gives the coach the opportunity to be able to try new systems and players who otherwise would be on the bench.

They are all teams that have the opportunity to compete, and it is still a European tournament to which to give the right importance, it is tru that it is the third in importance but the teams must do their best to represent their team and demonstrate that they want to bring home the final victory, this guarantees direct access to the Europa League the following year which should not be forgotten.

The premier League is very strong and all the teams that are playing in premier League are strong teams, and yes they may not actually be doing well in premier League but that does not mean that they are not strong enough to defeat other League teams, any small team in England can actually defeat bigger teams or small teams also in another League, all the clubs in premier league are actually very strong and I believe in them more than other league teams, don't be surprised that they can or will win the conference league this coming season again.
