Some people are not even talking the right thing about Bitcoin or conducting any research before making any statement regarding the network performance; all they are after is to gain the attention of the public and be recognized, or even paid to do so, because the thing that creates fake news and utters some statement causes the market to react in the particular direction they want it to.
This is where we should not concentrate only on status of those that are given us an update about Bitcoin, we should also learn to know more so that we cannot be fueled with wrong information about Bitcoin, it is also important that we should be reminded of whom to follow when it comes to crypto news update and taking platform like this more significantly important as a reliable source to discuss Bitcoin.

Without reading anything on the thread except "Tokenized Gold"
I say - it will be centralized and it wont be capped! so it will go against two main advantages of Bitcoin.
Yes, It is centralized, from a podcast he did months ago, the idea on the T-Gold project is to enable the purchase of physical gold digitally, and those golds are held and locked in a vault, clearly on a central protection. I don't see a problem if any digital assets are created, but the comparison and agenda against Bitcoin is where the problem lies. Bitcoin perfects the idea of decentralization, we are trying to escape centralization and not going back to it, I don't see how tokenized gold is convincingly better.

Gold is infinite and Bitcoin is limited. As if that's not enough, Bitcoin is fully decentralised. I can remember if your land that you acquired with your money is filled with Gold you are to surrender that land to the government, this is. The law of my country. Gold lacks self custody and total control, they are not on same level, don't get me wrong, Gold is a good option but based on what this Mr Schiff is saying, Bitcoin beats Gold for me, hands down... Atleast no one is going to try taking my Bitcoin from me because no one knows that I have Bitcoin. What could make a full grown man to come out and talk this trash about Bitcoin? Peter Schiff, this person sometimes says strange things that are not worth believing at all, because of his strange words, people have called him by different names. I do not believe any of his statements, the person who believes him will be deceived. Bitcoin is the best and its future is better. Bitcoin also plays a significant role in giving more money to people than a small amount. The simple thing is that its privacy Bitcoin protects the most privacy, if you have crores of Bitcoin in your wallet, no one will know and the possibility of theft is very low if the wallet is strong.

Peter Schiff can say things like that because he’s a gold advocate, and he has every right to champion it—but that doesn’t mean he should say things he hates just to make his own statements seem correct. Peter Schiff may have forgotten—perhaps due to his age—that in the public sphere, people don’t easily believe every piece of nonsense, because we no longer live in an era where Bitcoin didn’t exist. Peter Schiff and Saylor may be at odds regarding these two assets. It’s up to him; we only care about what we believe is good.

Just trying to get attention, I think. There are so many people trying to get attention by discrediting Bitcoin, and this guy has been doing this for so long that I’ve lost count of how many times he’s done it. And it’s completely pointless for us to respond to what he says because he’ll just keep saying even more ridiculous things since he’s never been a fan of Bitcoin.

I am patiently waiting for the day when public personalities like Peter Schiff will promote whatever they believe in without unnecessarily trying to drag Bitcoin through the mud with their irrelevant comparisons all the time. Gold is a great asset to invest in, and so is Bitcoin. Both of these assets will only be appealing to those who understand them and how each of the assets operates. Peter Schiff is yet to understand Bitcoin. For me, I will choose Bitcoin over gold, that does not mean that gold isn't a good option. Bitcoin has faced enough criticism already. It is high time people were left to invest in what resonates with their ideologies and personalities.

Gold is infinite and Bitcoin is limited.
Well, gold certainly isn't infinite, at least not within the planet's boundaries. Nor is the profitability of its extraction. As if that's not enough, Bitcoin is fully decentralised.
Technically, yes. But if you think about it, some concerns arise, as mining power is concentrated in the hands of a few big companies, and users are concentrated in the hands of a few big exchanges. I can remember if your land that you acquired with your money is filled with Gold you are to surrender that land to the government, this is. The law of my country.
It's exactly the same in my country. That is, the owner owns only the top layer of soil, while the state owns what's below. I imagine it's the same in all (or most) countries. Although the example that immediately comes to mind is the US, where landowners, if they discovered oil (or gold), could begin extracting it themselves. Gold lacks self custody and total control, they are not on same level, don't get me wrong, Gold is a good option but based on what this Mr Schiff is saying, Bitcoin beats Gold for me, hands down...
Gold and bitcoin are suitable for different situations. For me, these assets are in completely different leagues. Atleast no one is going to try taking my Bitcoin from me because no one knows that I have Bitcoin.
And once they find out, they'll try to take it away. Wait, soon the regulator will start collecting data on bitcoin ownership, and later, they'll take it away in taxes. What could make a full grown man to come out and talk this trash about Bitcoin?
Because he didn't manage to buy it at a cheaper price earlier.

People like Peter Schiff are gold enthusiasts, and we shouldn't expect him to say something good about Bitcoin, so we just need to ignore the negative things people like him say about BTC because at the end of the day he will also take back all the naive statements he sid just like Larry Fink, Michael Saylor, etc. However, I won't be surprised if someone like him secretly holds some BTC. About the land, you're not supposed to surrender the land if you have all the ownership documents and file a lawsuit against the Federal government, but the mineral resource is the federal government's property, so technically you will be compensated for the land.

It’s Peter Schiff.. there’s nothing to be surprised about his statement .. you should know better that he would do anything to kiss the ass of any gold assets, specifically comparison with Bitcoin. I think he gets more attention whenever he post anything and tags Bitcoin.. for example your thread and that of Coinmarketcap shows clearly that he got the attention and now that you’ve reposted it, someone’s definitely going to research tokenized gold and invest in it .

You can't expect from a gold advocate to never criticize bitcoin. Bitcoin will always be the villain in their eyes, and gold will play the most vital role. The attacks of Peter Schiff to bitcoin are not new anymore to the bitcoin community, he always has something bad for bitcoin, and that gained him high social media engagement because a lot would still agree to his opinions and ideas.
Yes, forget status, people can like or dislike bitcoin. But since we are part of the forum, and personally, this forum has made a lot of enlightenment for me, I cannot afford to hate bitcoin. But I hate those people who are talking trash about bitcoin because they simply show that their obviously uneducated about bitcoin.

You can see a gold advocate that will also buy bitcoin. We have discussions like that on this forum. I still remember a man that we discussed about that made gold the number one choice in his advise, bit also showing how bitcoin will also appreciate in value over time. Many people naccoeter what the man said. Peter Schiff is just saying rubbish and only using bitcoin to advertise his own business. Many people supposed not to know the man today if not because of his criticism on bitcoin and I think that is one of his goals for criticizing bitcoin.

Just ignore that man; he can say anything without thinking as long as it goes along with his criticism on Bitcoin. He just will say it if there are problems. Bitcoin is solving one problem among them: true decentralization, which even tokenized gold is centralized and doesn't solve any problem; it just gives those who feel like investing in gold but don’t want to hold physical gold an option. Peter Schiff is a well known bitcoin critic, he spews nonsense every now and then, but surprisingly, he holds some Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset in this address(bc1q0vxwxsmkjy5t95qpc0mfznl59928grsr4wfa97) which holds 0.05635517BTC currently. Patronize his lies at your own risk.
The Bitcoin he owns was from the donation from his 62nd birthday. He was angry that the US created the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, so he mockingly asked for a donation to create his own reserve. He is a bitter critic of Bitcoin and would always attack any positive development in the industry. His birthday donation was not the only bitcoin he received. Sometime last year I came across his tweet where he openly asked for more donations to that same address with the statement that people should try and prove him wrong, which is just a means to extort those who are too eager to prove him wrong.

Then you don't know Peter Schiff, this man is popular at least in my own eye as someone who likes to talk bad about Bitcoin, this is how I knew him, I can't remember how many times my news feed brings me one of this shallow idea about Bitcoin, gey used to it.
Honestly I don't know Peter Schiff, but I just did little research about him and his words concerning bitcoin are irritating. Because I don't expect someone who live in this digital world to criticise Bitcoin like that. But one thing that i know is, no matter how badly he tries to make bitcoin look bad, Bitcoin investors have already know how important and safe bitcoin investment is, only few people who don't understand how bitcoin works will actually fall for his poor statements about bitcoin. If truly Peter Schiff knew how many people out there regret not being among early adopters, he wouldn't be wasting his time, but I'm confident that he's doing it to gain popularity.

He's been like that for years and he's a known anti-bitcoin guy. Giving his thoughts about bitcoin negatively and then plugging about gold. You may want to search about his son, Spencer who's invested in bitcoin. Because I don't expect someone who live in this digital world to criticise Bitcoin like that.
Expect that critics are everywhere and can be anybody, whether they're a popular finance guy, an investor, celebrities or maybe even Elon Musk could criticize it because he actually did that in the past about bitcoin's consumption of energy.

What could make a full grown man to come out and talk this trash about Bitcoin?
It could be for a number of reasons some of which are; -misinformation Many of these people who you look up to having high status in society are just fortunate to have an information that made them wealthy or rich, some of them do not own or possess current important information, they are still living in the old information that they have and they're just fortunate that it has not affected them, and their money source like their businesses. -hate/dislike Another set of these people who have high status in society just dislike the fact that the core concept of Bitcoin can actually help people who are seeking a way to financial independence if they are able to diligently invest, an investment opportunity that was not formerly available to everybody in every status of life.

That's the best thing about anything in reality: having opposing opinions. But it's important to understand that this doesn't mean everyone is right; everyone chooses the truth that suits them.
On the other hand, you mention that gold is infinite, and that's not true. Gold is scarce, so scarce that many factors are needed to obtain it.

Exactly, I don’t know if this man Peter Schiff had a chance with bitcoin previously but later failed because most of his criticisms about bitcoin seems so, if not I don’t understand why so much comparison and criticism. The fact that he might have probably failed in holding up bitcoin doesn’t mean others aren’t successful and got it right as a result of their own hardwork, dedication and patience and goals. So trying to talk down on bitcoin doesn’t stop people from being successful in it, neither does it end bitcoin, the more people like him are criticizing bitcoin, the more bitcoin is gaining more popularity because over the years people have said a lot about bitcoin and have made some attempts to bring it down but the truth doesn’t hide, bitcoin remains and will always be.

The irony is that Peter Schiff's son, Spencer himself holds bitcoins, and he has publicly argued with his father on a number of occasions. It is enough to say that. Schiff criticism has never developed. Same arguments since 2011, and meanwhile with Bitcoin crossing 100k. After being wrong for 14 years, making same prediction can not be called analysis. It is just a Noise. Gold has a role to play, but the ability to hold value is double edged sword. Compared to gold, Bitcoin supply is actually much more predictable as new deposits can still be discovered. Has Schiff ever really said that?

Apparently, I missed a lot. In the past, Peter Schiff's opinions were not important, and he was a defender of gold, while completely objecting to anything digital and decentralized like gold, and defending an idea that is much worse than the nonsense he used to say in the past.
You mean bitcoin? You might want to correct that That's the best thing about anything in reality: having opposing opinions. But it's important to understand that this doesn't mean everyone is right; everyone chooses the truth that suits them.
Counter opinions can be an indication that something holds some value and it's normal for people to have initial resistance to valuable things. We have a lot of people who resented bitcoin in the past and are now into it, guys like Mike saylor, Larry Fink and even Trump. We're waiting for when Schiff finally grows up.
