Be careful if you connect to public WiFi

From the OP's statement down to all I have seen numerous statements condemning the use of public WiFi maybe because of the horrible experience many had in various occasions,  of a truth some of this free Wi-Fi's where not made available because of any negative reasons but just as a means of customer attractions because it is not all time one can be buoyant financially to afford Internet access and it will help attract customers.
Instead of condemning it completely, I will rather say those using it should be conscious enough on the process of using it because even if it is not disastrous at that point in time because it have not been tampered it may still be because technological advancement has made everything very possible.

It is not that many people are fully condemning public Wi-Fi or saying that people should not make use of it. The point is that they should be careful and know which ones to make use of.I making uses of public Wi-Fi, but only when it is from people I trust. Anywhere I connected, if offered Wi-Fi, I don’t just make use of it. I think that is the best way everyone should always act, because it is better to be careful and prevent problems than to regret it later.So, it is just a matter of carefulness, nothing more than that. It would be bad to lose something big because of a small offer.Yes, you have a point that, in most cases, it is used to attract customers. But let’s not forget that some businesses may be owned by scammers.

Thanks for the advice is really a nice one I don't take any from of advice for granted it my mostly in this digital era one has to  be extremely careful when using public wifi for banking it safe to use your own mobile data the rate of insecurity in the society is alarming each day and is better to have a knowledge about a situation to avoid falling a victim because one choose on holding on to information let's all be safe

Free wifi has always been a plague, which is why i always try to avoid it, sometimes the main problem could be that someone gets in the way and simulates the network and when someone connects it does MITM and this can be really unpleasant, especially if precautions are not taken, an alternative could be to use a VPN.

I don't know if VPN will give you complete peace of mind, but I forbid everyone from using free WiFi. Because every person has some important information on their mobile, like my Bitcoin wallet is installed on my mobile, so I definitely take precautions before using any network.
So if you sit down to have coffee in a restaurant on the side of the road and use WiFi to spend some time online, it is a serious risk, so it is better to be careful of using WiFi in all these places. But in my opinion, you need to permanently set up a network so that you can use it alone without any risk.

Yes, in some countries this problem is very rare and there are many people who do not know about it and do not take these issues seriously. They think that if they are only associated with WIF, what will happen that can harm me. If they do a little research about all this, they will understand how big a risky decision they have taken.

I myself do not use such WIFs and I advise everyone I know not to use them. In most cases, the problem we see is that our information is stolen.

Being careful in what so ever we do is the best approach to a successful life, many regret today because they believe in capitalising on every opportunity they see without knowing its not all that glitters are gold.
Its nice advising all to be careful on their move at all times. At least I have learned something great today,  before I see all public enterprises and its working processes as a unique way of attracting customers without reasoning or thinking that some maybe from the same scammers we are running from  but now I have known and will work on the security of my assets because that is the only way to become successful.

When I rent hotel room which is the place I noticed I am being offered free WiFi, I just decline it. I have enough data already and it is a huge amount of data.

At this point we are not safe as investors, because any small mistake can make us lose our investment, i think everyone should be careful when they are holding something valuable, because we are living in a world where people can do anything to steal from you, although i dont connect with any public Wi-Fi because i am not use to that, but some people are so too lazy to avoid free Wi-Fi, there are some people that can leave their house and go to a place where they can get free Wi-Fi, although some of this things happen in cafe shops or restaurants, but as someone who knows what he doing, he will always have enough subscriptions that will make him avoid connecting with public Wi-Fi.

The biggest weakness in security could be seen in the person that’s using the technology and not the technology itself. People can have very safe and secure passwords and store their seed phrases very well but still end up exposing themselves to threats by clicking on shady websites and links or trusting the wrong connections. It pays more to be cautious because it helps to prevent problems that even the most expensive and sophisticated tools may not be able to fix.

This is actually true. It's very dangerous to connect to an open WiFi. Even if the café doesn't do anything, we have hackers hanging around to use someone as scapegoat. Always carry your one WIFI, be scared of free things because it comes with hidden cost you don't know and when you do, you'll regret it. Stay safe people.
