That issue of maturity plays a vital role in anything we do today, although this time around maturity is no longer measured in age but by behaviour of the person involved. Many that are matured in age still goes about making mistakes those that are very young won't make but that is never enough reason to expose children to knowledge greater than them all in the name of exposing them to the technological aspects of doing things.
On this i will say its a great development because the level of information contained on social media is bigger than what children can accommodate so depriving them access is the best decision.

I don't agree that banning children under 15 from using social media is a good approach. The main issue is that social media is not a problem, but the real issue is how they are using it. There are children who are relying on social media platforms to communicate with their friends or to participate in different educational activities online, and they also develop their digital skills over time. Instead of this blanket ban, it is a responsibility of parents to supervise their children's activities, what they are doing online and schools should provide proper digital literacy given to students so that they know how to safely use social media for their benefit and get maximum reward from that. Similarly, these cartoons about Bitcoin are informative these topic should be introduced to the children in a much broader context so they learn about it rather than just being exposed to the idea.

You're right, the real issue is how it is used and the responsibility of adults. How effective would such a ban really be if parent still allow their children to use social media at home, or they can easily find other ways to access it through different device and account? Honestly social media is misleading a lot of under age and that is why we are facing a lot of difficulty in our society today, if this can be done in my own country, honestly I will be very happy because instead of using it positively they ended using it negatively which is affecting our society at large. The truth is that Social media have negative and positive, I’m just wondering if the Negative is more than the positive, I don’t really know if I should be supporting or advocating for the Government’s that are doing this, I once heard Australia also did restrict children of certain age groups from accessing social media, every good things have negative and positive effects.

Yes, you are right that both good and bad things are circulating in the feed on social media. However, children are more curious, so they are more attracted to things that are not normally seen and are not allowed in society. And it is natural that they will click on it when something like this comes in front of them. However, they can be given phones to teach them something good, not to use social media. Now there is an option to turn on Kids Mode on the phones, which if turned on and given to children, they will not be able to see any unwanted content. They will be able to watch selected apps and videos that they like. And they will be able to learn something good from there. They will be useful as educational videos for them. In this case, parents should be more careful. They should consciously give importance to these things. Because from the beginning, a child will grow up to behave and use the same way in the future.

Yes thats correct,  this move is one of the best decision made by the France government this year. Many children are suffering today all because of the kind of information gotten on social media and with the level of understanding children has, it will be very difficult controlling themselves when this informations comes.
Social media was meant for the transfer of informative information and communication but everything changed when people sees it in a different way and will never stop corrupting children. Your perspective is absolutely realistic. If restrictions or bans are imposed, today's tech-savvy children will definitely find alternatives like VPNs or proxies. This does not solve the main problem, but rather increases the tendency to use banned things secretly. Many are very talented and have innovative thoughts. So the idea you have given of linking it to their education rather than completely removing them from the internet or social media is really timely.
I think that instead of banning anything directly, we should also look at alternatives. Because since children of this era use the internet, quizzes or competitive things should be spread among them so that they can gain knowledge while using the internet. There are thousands of such examples.

I think that'll be a smart move especially in African countries, some Europeans children might be using to learn good things but African children will only learn bad things from it, i knew not all of them but the majority of them won't learn anything good from social media. When the government restricts users under a certain age, the number of users of that age will decrease to a large extent. Some users will be offended, who will try to use VPN or any other means despite the restriction, but I think that even if it cannot be controlled completely, most of them can definitely be controlled. Moreover, if the law can be implemented strictly, most of the minors can be discouraged from using it. When this continues for a long time, everyone will get used to it. It will certainly not be easy for the government to control it in the beginning. I support such initiatives to save the next generation. If the government as well as the family guardians are vigilant enough, it is possible to control it very easily. If the government and parents are vigilant enough, it is possible to reduce the amount of social media use to a great extent.

Social media has its own pros and cons for all of us either it's children or adults. The main concern is what is the appropriate age to introduce your kids to electronic devices and social media? This law is in the right direction. Children below the age of 15 still have a long time they need to learn anything that is linked to social media. For now, there are more age appropriate things they can do.
