I hope you all pardon me if there's already a topic like this; I just need to create one for my soon-to-launch cryptocurrency glossary terms official thread.


I need an introduction for my thread, and your input would be greatly appreciated. The best explanation will be included in my official thread.

I would like to invite some well-known members who I consider experts in cryptocurrency terms. I hope you will not mind my invitation @Oshosondy @mu_enrico @zasad @Abiky @rbynxx  @fullfitlarry @_act_

Everyone is welcome to drop their opinion, and it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much to all of you brothers and sisters.

My question is actually about the thread, will it only be about cryptocurrency glossary only or will contain more information, because if it’s actually only about glossary then I don’t think the name should be anything related to “why you need to learn about bitcoin terms” except if the reason for why is actually included.

If the thread is just abbreviations (glossary) then the name should simply be “cryptocurrency glossary” and this means all terms will be capture and explained there.


This is not also under play your effort in contributing to learning of cryptocurrency but I think there are lots of glossary threads and articles already on the forum although there is room for modification which I might think is what you wish to do

So if I may understand you correctly, are you trying to say you don't intend to compile any list of cryptocurrency terms, but just asking a question so that people could discuss??.. Is that what you mean? Because judging by the spreadsheet you just show above, it's indicating a totally different thing all already. As it looks like you are planning to compile a list of cryptocurrency Glossary, and we have several thread about it already.

Hence, my advice will be if you want this thread to be a discussion thread about "Why do you need to learn cryptocurrency terms?", then I will advise you delete the picture of the spreadsheet above.

However, for me, the reason why I think people need to learn about cryptocurrency terms is so that they can be able to understand and know what they are talking about when such term is been used during a discussion or conversation.

About the website, I appreciate your time for doing this but about the purpose, is it actually necessary while people in cryptocurrency can easily get glossary from big sites like Coinmarketcap.com, Coingecko.com and more big sites.

Terminology is not a strange word though, just like Crypto currency, every other profession have their terminology which is one of the things that makes such field interesting and unique in it's own ways.

Learning terminology eases the stress of long explanations and cuts long statements also. It makes communication easier for professionals in the same line of operations or field. Sometimes, it helps to code meanings when in public places keeping one safe from exposing themselves.

It is nice you have compiled this list for the audience to view and learn from. I know it will be of help to the Crypto community at large. For this reason I checked the website website to see what you have done so far and I really commend your efforts but I will like to make some input, while I was checking the words one for one, I noticed some meaning does not really tell what the words are, you kind of explained them in a referencing way which is not too clear and a newbie would still not understand it that way. Maybe you can still review some statements you have made there and make or precise.
