Does humble society always mean small buildings

When you encourage people to live horizontally or humble lifestyle many will likely think that it means a society filled with simple things like small houses. Ofcourse that could be the case where land is abundant or very cheap for even public buildings or companies/businesses to build horizontally, but in cases where it is scarce, very tall or large buildings become necessary. But whether land is scarce or not, private buildings should be simple, not too fancy, small (f you're living alone and don't have much properties), and without vanity (or unnecessary things). Public buildings or houses for big companies should be large or tall.
An ignorant person who discovers such society for the first time could mistake the style for pride or luxury, and decide to replicate it back home for the sake of national pride, and it becomes vanity



In summary, a humble society can still be filled with skyscrapers and large buildings as long as they're not for individual uses.

I don’t think there is a direct relationship between being humble and size of a building. Take Japan as an example, they have have many tall buildings because the land is limited and not because people are trying to show off. Whereas there are also places with mostly small buildings where corruption and waste are very common.m

Personally I would judge a number society by how it uses its resources not by the height of buildings.

Town planning is far from humility. People build houses to serve a purpose, a humble society grows in honor, not structures. A humble and wealthy man never fails to restore his humility if he builds a castle. He did it to serve a purpose, maybe to host events or have a big home to contain his generations to come. Trying to link the sizes of houses or structures in a society to how humble its people are doesn't tally. A humble society is a place where leaders listen to the diverse opinions of its people and work on the right contributions.

Humble society is not to showcase house more your buildings are on to be proud of what you have achieved in building the highest mansions in that community. It's all about coordination and being able to attest to everyone's integrity in a particular society; of course, this could begin with the leaders and how they take the community affairs as an utmost priority.

People need to stay together and live in peace and harmony, there must be a sense of responsibility as well from every member of a society in which they need to realize every structure of the community development program initiated by their leaders to help everyone go along, unity is one of the most expensive ideas that many are lacking and that is why if you discover a particular society that it people work together, they will progress as well and make the best opportunity.

You see the appearance or height of  buildings do not really tell if the society is humble or wasteful. I think that the
real problem here isn't the size of buildings, but the value and intention the project do create. A big structure can be a smart investment if it's generates values or solves real problems, but it can also be unnecessary spendings if it's only for prestige and also the same goes with small projects. The main thing is that good judgement is supposed to focus on efficiency, cost, and the benefits it gives to the people and not just appearance.

Flexing and complacency are difficult to distinguish, especially when building a house in a neighborhood that rarely has prominent buildings. A house isn't the sole indicator of its owner's humility. Your money is your taste, so I think it's foolish to limit your taste to realizing your dream home as comfortably as possible just to maintain humility.

If you have the means to build sky scrapers and make your life worth living and enjoyable, there's nothing bad about it. At the end of the day, all we've got is this life and nothing more. When you fail to make do of your intellect and the resources that life throws at you to have a great life, suffering wouldn't make you any better.

There's a way to live in luxury yet being simplistic at it and most western people are great at that.

You don't need small buildings to have a humble society. Look at places like Dubai or Abu Dhabi, they are filled with skyscrapers and massive structures, but that does not mean the people there are arrogant or showy. Those buildings serve a purpose, business, tourism and infrastructure, not personal vanity. The same goes for Saudi Arabia with their modern cities and mega projects. They are building big, but it is for the progress of the nation, not to show off individual wealth. Humble does not actually mean small. It just means not using what you have to look down on others and society can have tall buildings and still be well grounded in values.
