With kickoff of most of the leagues just around the corner, I certainly will be joining some EPL pools just to play among the best player's on the forum even when we all know we have high competitive EPL/fantasy managers here on BCT. And just for the fun of it will be geared to play in this season's pools .

Almost all of them keep the same discussion thread season after season, the only exception is the Bundesliga, which starts a new thread every year, I'll update that link as soon as it's posted. Everything else will reuse the existing threads for the upcoming season. As for keeping the OP updated every season, you bet man!

That OP being updated is very important, and yes majority of people do it but I think there is one or two that info is not always updated, good to remind those listed here whether OP is updated with correct and pertinent details (for them not for you lol).

It depends on the managers of the league pool, while @el che compiled a thread about paid competitions.

Meanwhile, until now only one Champion League pool has announced its fee of 1mBtc.... The Sponsor will be confirmed soon.
The others still still waiting, and which casino will sponsor her.

The Championship is 2 weeks away, but there's no sign of it yet.
It's the same with the Premier League, I'm still waiting, and if there are no sponsors, it's less exciting.

Exactly, it all comes down to the pool organizers, but I'm sure they are working hard behind the scenes to secure sponsors. Without sponsorship prize pools drop significantly making it much harder to attract enough participants for a contest to run smoothly.

I expect the major leagues to get locked in, whereas smaller ones like the Championship or Ligue 1 might be a bit trickier. Still even if some fall through we'll still have plenty of action in the confirmed pools.

Plus we still have time, the Championship and La Liga start in two weeks, with the rest coming three weeks out. Remember the World Cup sponsorship (Fantasy) was only finalized less than 72 hours before kickoff and everything still ran seamlessly with huge participation. I'm confident things will get sorted out in time!

You realize how good you are at fantasy leagues until you try participating in one of the fantasy pools in the forum. Prepare to compete among the best on the forum. Who knows who will come out top at the end.

Fantasy leagues require consistency and in depth understanding of the league. With the little knowledge you have its not going to be difficult  for you. After one or two attempts, you'll become a strong competitor.

It's nice that the Bundesliga has got a sponsor to run the season that will start soon, I myself have never joined this pool, at the moment I have not decided whether to join or not, but I am waiting for another pool.

I think you misread him, BABY SHOES. He was asking what the minimum amount needed is to be able to sponsor a specific pool.


It all depends on the contest. Contests that attract a lot of participants can have sponsorships ranging from $5,000 to over $10,000. Others that don't draw as many contestants are normally sponsored for amounts between $2,000 and $5,000. Most sponsors also throw in weekly freebets throughout the season for weekly winners, usually ranging from $25 to $50.

It also depends on the specific project and manager, but from what I've seen over the last couple of years, a baseline minimum would be around $2,000 plus a weekly $25 freebet. In some cases, a manager fee might also be required, but not always, it really depends on several factors.

Like the most recently updated pool, this one had Vega put in $4000 link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5590494.0 , but the thing about sponsorship is that the more money is pumped in the more users get to join and this also means brand name gets a visibility chip as players chat about the sports in the dedicated thread..so amount is an open check

I just saw that Ligue 1 buy in was quite small and possibly has to do with a lower number of participants or less interest in general.

Yeah... the number of participants in the Premier League pool was more than 50 people last season, plus a considerable sponsorship fund of 0.1 BTC at that time, every week the participant who won the Yellow cap gets a free bet if not mistaken 1 mbtc.

I am now very curious, which sponsor will acquire the Premier League? Ohhh I can't wait. Lol

Ligue 1 is a little different... last season I didn't watch much of this league except PSG, the team I watched the most.

I played back when Stake was running one on the ESPN app, It was a lot of fun but tough to win, you basically needed pure luck on your side every single week. The furthest I ever made it was Week 9, though I walked away with no prize. It reminds me of LMS, just without any rebuys. It could be nice to have it as a community contest as well.

I remember that I played one on Stake too - it was run on their own forum I think.

I used to play NFL survivor pools on Sportsbook.ag but they unfortunately stopped them.
But yes they indeed feel like LMS

Eh, I feel sorry that it seems like pools are moving towards Fantasy and some complicated mechanics. I don't like SuperBru, but I do like working with numbers, and I like betting contests more than anything else. I hope the BtB format will also be implemented in one of the new pools, it seems to have been even more popular than RtG. I'm continuing my individual BtB challenge, but it's always interesting to see how competitors do it, this expands the space of ideas.
