Bitflash is a faithful revival of the original 2009 bitcoin-0.1.0, rebuilt for today with two changes: memory-hard CPU mining, and anonymous addressing that hides your IP and works behind CGNAT.

── What's different ──
• RandomX proof of work — CPU-only, ASIC/GPU-resistant. One CPU, one vote.
• .btf anonymous addresses over Nostr — self-certifying, Tor-onion-style, built into the coin. Your IP is never exposed to peers.
• Works behind CGNAT — no public IP, no port forwarding. Nodes rendezvous through a relay that only sees end-to-end-encrypted ciphertext.
• Automatic peer & relay discovery — zero config.
• Fair launch — no premine, no ICO, no dev reward.

── Specs ──
Ticker: BTF | PoW: RandomX (CPU) | Reward: 50 BTF, halving | Max supply: 21,000,000 | Block time: ~2 min | Windows (GUI) + Linux (headless)

── Download & run ──
Windows: unzip, run bitflash.exe → Options → Generate Coins.
Linux: extract, run build-linux.sh, then ./src/bitflash-node -gen

Disclaimer: Experimental software in the spirit of the original Bitcoin. The network is young — run it, mine it, help keep it alive, but don't rely on it for anything critical and don't put in more than you can lose.

Readme looks pretty LLM-heavy with all the em-dashes and emojis.
But it somehow works.I did notice an address rotation for each transaction.
Will it be possible to explore the blockchain? Most new bitcoin-like coins are post-quantum. Does that
not matter with the privacy here?

no connections
That would be weird. I had two nodes running.
Been running a node since launch. A few observations:

Builds and runs fine on Ubuntu first try. Got connections within minutes and found blocks early on. Address rotation per block is expected bitcoin-0.1.0 behavior. Your wallet holds all the rotating addresses, coins are all spendable from the same wallet.dat.

The .btf tunnel connections are hit or miss. Peers are discovered fine via Nostr but the rendezvous handshake fails most attempts before occasionally going through. Once connected, block sync works. Running two nodes (Linux + Windows) and they do eventually find each other and reconcile chain splits on their own.

Running a relay at relay.cyprus-draco.ts.net:443 if anyone needs it. The -announcerelay flag works but the announcement seems to depend on relay.nostr.band which has been unreliable. Other nodes eventually discovered it anyway through the other Nostr relays.

Explorer would be useful. The blockchain is parseable but there's nothing built yet.

I don't think it's possible but you can parse your logs to count ur blocks.
But if you have a machine running windows, it' simpler.

I had that too but they ended up syncing.
Maybe one hasn't caught up? And there is always the connectbtf option though it doesn't scale.
But I used it and they are synched.
I do wonder how many nodes there are. Is it the number of peers?

might be good to have some place to list at which block people are.
But that might require everybody sharing a server :/

I have one at 595 and one at 589 (linux again. Might be because it's weaker.) :/
Ran a funnel to my linux state: https://flash.cyprus-draco.ts.net/

Yes. I don't know why though. My Windows is up to date (604) but that ones stays behind.
Actually, seems I was parsing the wrong file.

got 7% and 22%.
I don't think it's possible to run another instance though. Unless maybe on another port.

Friendly warning:  you need to consolidate your posts and not do what we used to call 'consecuposting' which is making multiple posts one after another, which in this case looks like the goal is to keep the thread bumped.  Keep doing it and it'll be reported to the mods.

all my nodes are on blockheight 595 atm

That's a message that you should be mining XMR instead.
