So what are the expectations this time? Is the Lion (Bitcoin) taking a few steps back in order to attack?

With time, we are beginning to get used to the fact that bitcoin is becoming less volatile and that every time bitcoin stands at a particular point, it might take quite a long time for it to go past that point which is what we have seen in terms of bitcoin staying bellow $100k all these while despite all the speculation we have seen thus far. this is actually a phase that we are seeing now and certainly it wont be too long before we see bitcoin going above the $100k point. seeing bitcoin get to $150k within this year is not something that is easily attainable and likely, we might not see it happening till the end of the year, that only means that this is the best time to stack as much bitcoin as possible because once we have gone past this downs, we might never come down to this range ever again.

My expectation is nothing. I also tell you not to trust with those aggressive prediction created by CT, big boys or someone else. The cycle this time is unpredictable because there's nothing to speculate. It's getting worsen with never ending war & unstable economic condition.

We had so many big events already done last year. Some exchanges announced their shutdown, and many more. Based on that it looks like bitcoin may be going hibernate until we wil get closer to the another halving.

Even if we're gonna moving up, we may not be going closer to the 100k again. There has to be a big thing that pushes speculators to speculate on Bitcoin.

No one will ever tell you this information because no one really knows what the future of bitcoin's price is. There are too many factors influencing this, and do you know what the funniest thing is? Factors such as variables in the equation may eventually cancel each other out... and as a result, the price will remain at the current value. It's amazing, but that's how it works.

Going with the previous performance of bitcoin, this is not the time the price will rise up and all this period the price will be t the Bear Market and if it comes up in this year, it should be ending part of the year and not in the middle and if the price will really do well, it should be from next year October upward. But there will be a cycle to good in the first quarter of the year 2027.  This was how it happened in the previous cycle. One year to the halving that was when the price started changing to good. Therefore I am still going with that performance.

The speculation that I know is that Bitcoin is not moving, maybe it's not the right time, market movements and changes are not as easy as people say and not as easy as turning the palm of the hand.

There have been several speculative actions that have hampered the movement of Bitcoin over the last ten months, such as the current geopolitical uncertainty, investor concerns about inflation, as well as the instability of the current crypto market accumulation phase, as well as the influence on high interest rates, this situation if speculated has a big influence on the movement of Bitcoin.

But believe me the market situation will improve as time goes by, I believe the current market accumulation is likely that investors will place speculation on Bitcoin for the long term, this will become a reality and certainty when the halving occurs.

I can at least say that there should be no big expectations from Bitcoin until 2026 and the first quarter of 2027.
And the reason for this is simply bear season, like in 2025 we saw Bitcoin's bull season and saw it create a new all-time high price. Just like other seasons, 2026 is going to be bearish and still I think Bitcoin has not created its bear bottom price, if we look at the previous markets, it has dumped 70 to around 84% from the all-time high price and created a bear bottom price. This year if we take it as 70 percent, it will still go below 40k. But still I think that Bitcoin's bear bottom price will be within the 40k to 50k range this year.
Considering the fact that the halving is going to occur in April of 2028, I believe it's going to take longer than what you said for the bear market to finally end or at least for Bitcoin or the market to reach the bottom, because the first quarter of 2027 is not that far anymore, we are already in the 7th month of 2026, and we haven't even seen the price going around $55k yet, and as you said, the bottom should at least be lower than this. I would say how much the percentage should be for the drop from its all-time high, because I believe it's not important for all cycles to be the exact same replica of one another, but it will surely drop a bit more than where it is right now and then the recovery process will probably begin.

During the previous bear season when the all-time of Bitcoin was $69k, the price was stable within the $32k and $28k for quite some time, I don't exactly remember but I think it was about 6 to 7 months and within that time, Bitcoin had become so stable that it was almost becoming boring at the end, and then it broke above the resistance level at $32k and went stopped right at $47k, then kept going back and forth for sometime before the recovery started again, and that continued until we experienced the new all-time just recently. So, it's pretty normal for the market to behave this way.

True, I think the common mistake many make is expecting much from bitcoin price prediction reason why I don’t believe bitcoin analysts although it’s quite understandable everyone is sharing their different thought but, I always lower my expectation. I would advise you view such market predictions as a mere prediction because nothing is really certain when dealing with bitcoin market movement. Honestly I also came across speculations about bitcoin price reaching $150k this year as a result of last year spike so for obvious reason many thought the trend will continue forgetting bitcoin circle, whatever is going on currently with bitcoin price might be attach to different reason but still bitcoin market will rise definitely it might take longer time this time around yet nothing is certain.

Many people make predictions, but not all predictions come true. Some say bullish, some say bearish. So it is not right to make decisions just by looking at the target of an analyst. In the last few months it has been seen that the flow of new capital into the market is slower than before and global economic uncertainty has also made investors somewhat wary. Actually, the lion (BTC) is actually resting lazily because it is not being given enough food, I mean new funds in the market. However, for a big run, not only the passage of time is enough, but new demand is also needed in the market. When new buyers and long term investors become active again, a strong upward trend is more likely to be seen.

Bitcoin is a speculatory asset, we shouldn't forget that so whatever price that anyone speculates, it is a normal thing, but it doesn't mean that the market moves according to speculation. There are factors that can prompt the price to reach a certain length. Of course, a lot of people here speculated the price of bitcoin to hit $150k, some even said it will go above that price, and it is understandable because of how high the price was going as at when people were making those speculations. That notwithstanding, it is funny how many people were speculating that the price will continue to skyrocket but they forget that we were entering the bear season where the price of bitcoin will experience a prolonged decline and that is exactly what we're experiencing now.

Bitcoin is actually moving, you wouldn’t say that it’s not moving for the past 10 months because if that’s the case then it looks like it has lost its nature of being volatile. Bitcoin isn’t stagnant, the price moves almost every seconds as you can at least attest to the fact that it has been moving sideways within a $10k range. The bull and bear markets exists In bitcoin and currently what we are experiencing is the bear market and that’s why you see the movement in this manner. For many investors, this is the best time to buy and hold, while for some investors they panic and sell. But above all, bitcoin have the potential to recover from every market downturn.
What I believe the OP is referring to in terms of Bitcoin not moving is not for the price to remain at one particular value for a long period, but based on how the value has been rotating within a certain range, whereas he might have been expecting to see Bitcoin's value reach or that high price rates predicted by some of this famous economist, but the market is currently disappointing him, in the past few months Bitcoin have been reaching $70k and dropping below that value that we are more relaxed with it that way that we can consider it a settling point.

In my opinion why bitcoin not moving yet since last 10 months because current global political condition make difficult for bitcoin break out, we know conflict between United State and Iran still not over yet how many time both of them negotiate still can't reach peace of negotiation. Many people afraid for investing in bitcoin during both countries conflict possibility make bitcoin moving down to lower price and until right now bitcoin get difficulty not only break out above $100k but also we don't get any time bitcoin have longer time stable at higher price.

Almost middle quarter of this year but bitcoin still dip at lower price and recently at $63k after two days ago success hitting to $65k, moving up few percent for long term looks difficult for bitcoin and not sure yet this year have opportunity to see bitcoin back above $100k.

The expectation of a constant increase in price is unrealistic. Bitcoin’s price reached its ATH in October last year. The price continued to decline in the following months and is still in a stable position. This position is a great time for long term investors.

Bitcoin’s price is very likely to be bullish in the future, so to prepare for that time, you need to regularly accumulate Bitcoin to ensure the correct use of stable and bearish periods. Whether the price will increase further in the rest of this year is still uncertain.

The current decline is a rally of regular and consistent Bitcoin buying, those who can use this rally correctly will get high returns in the future.

From my perspective, it's clear. The current strong global political climate makes it difficult for Bitcoin prices to break through to higher levels. This is the reason you rightly point out as the price has remained at the same level of $60,000 or above for almost a year, rarely seeing it reach $70,000.

If conflict persists, the Bitcoin market will undoubtedly struggle to rise. One obvious solution is peace which will facilitate global economic development and facilitate a more rapid global peace process through negotiations. Many are likely afraid to invest in Bitcoin. This is because the conflict is never-ending and continues, ultimately leading many to stop investing in Bitcoin citing the persistent market price which is unlikely to increase while the conflict remains unresolved through negotiations to achieve peace.

Others predicted BTC would reach $150k in 2026 coz they thought there would still be one last rally before we fully entered the bear season, but it didn't happen. That's why a lot of people are a bit disappointed. They feel the 2025 rally was lacking. That's why they thought maybe 2026 would be different and they would finally see what they were expecting like in the usual cycle.

The cycle is still there, but it's not the same anymore. It's not what others expected. But after thinking about it, we've already come this far, so maybe the growth really will be less than we expected. Maybe, as time goes by, every cycle will just get smaller.

A lot of popular people made predictions, speculations, or you could say anticipations about Bitcoin, saying that by mid-2026 Bitcoin would cross $150K. But in reality, it hasn’t even crossed $100K.
This year, on average, it’s just wandering around $60K to $70K.It’s being said that this is Bitcoin’s third longest consolidation. The first two long ranges were in 2018 and 2022-2023. After those first two consolidations, Bitcoin showed a massive rally. And for the last 10 months it has been moving sideways within a $10K range.

So what are the expectations this time? Is the Lion (Bitcoin) taking a few steps back in order to attack?

My expectations this time is always believed BTC would rise in the coming months after this correction. A price of $150K is still a perfectly reasonable price, and there's no need to doubt it.

Just be patient, my friend.
