100,000 cameras across thousands of communities in 49 US states have been updated to include live signal-trace technology. This integration has unique Bluetooth identifiers with personal data profiles in a centralized database, so it works like the Windows GUID tracker with ALPR/Flock-style cameras to detect unique devices from phones, smartwatches, earbuds, car infotainment systems, tire pressure sensors, AirTags, pet microchips, etc. It also creates an electronic fingerprint linking gadgets to vehicles and people's locations in real time or near-real time. This technology is already integrated with existing camera networks in the US, with dense coverage in places like China, the UK, and parts of Europe/Asia, but with low widespread Bluetooth identifiers. What does this mean? Government and international groups, or institutions that have access to the centralized public database, no longer need physical surveillance cameras to track you down, as they already have access to every single electronic device you own. Do you think this will negatively impact the BTC wallet we have on our computer, or phone, and hard wallet connected using USB/Bluetooth in the future? . All this happened after the plan of the Bitcoin ETF holder firm was to tokenize all assets. What does this mean? They planned to treat Bitcoin like NFTs while they fool investors into believing they're getting exposure to BTC through dividends without needing to buy and store BTC directly. But the reality is that it's just another modern slavery method because they are using investors funds as their own stepping stone. It all looks like they're taking a step further into bringing total surveillance everywhere. Is it possible to avoid Surveillance in the future?

I'll start with this. Bitcoin is pseudonymous and not anonymous. Bitcoin doesn't reveal name. All it has is just your wallet address. Only when enough information is gathered can your name be linked to your wallet address. But still knowing where I am doesn't automatically mean that my Bitcoin can be accessed. That's why self custody wins at all times. Looking at it carefully, privacy leak can only be caused by an individual. When someone post most of his or her life on the internet, that alone brings successful surveillance on the person. I will end with this, the biggest risk is not actually being seen. It is giving so much of your life unnecessarily to the internet. Stay private. And still a lot of Bitcoiners can be giving a lot of information about themselves through KYC.

Nope, correlation is not causation! Flock cameras and what they read have nothing to do with Leonardo's police camera that tracks Bluetooth signals, that have nothing to do with Windows, and none of these have ever thought of Bitcoin when implementing or developing their software. What does this mean? Government and international groups, or institutions that have access to the centralized public database, no longer need physical surveillance cameras to track you down, as they already have access to every single electronic device you own. NO, it DOESN'T mean that, so stop with the fear mongering. They planned to treat Bitcoin like NFTs while they fool investors into believing they're getting exposure to BTC through dividends without needing to buy and store BTC directly. But the reality is that it's just another modern slavery method because they are using investors funds as their own stepping stone.
Yeah, stop overreacting. ETFs have been around for decades: everyone buying ETFs is buying them because they can't either buy Bitcoin or don't want to. We always get the most stupid conspiracy theories of all, it's either the reptilians investing in ETFs to try to manipulate Bitcoin, then it's the reptilians ticking poeple into buying ETFs, which are ponzi scheme,s and then the same people with 10 kilos of tin foil on their head starts praying to Michael Saylor as being Jesus Bitcoin while he sells the same thing, pieces of paper with a promise they are backed by actual Bitcoins. Seriously, stop!

Then how about the human rights frameworks that recognizes the right to human privacy? If this is done, then that right is being violated because you can't tell me that the government would want to monitor everyone's device for the sake of surveillance to cub crime. This can not affect your hardware wallet because a Bitcoin hardware wallet will not broadcast your private keys simply because it is connected via USB or Bluetooth, so your security can not be bridge but if this speculation about this surveillance is as you describe, how it affects people's privacy is alarming since this can track the person's identity from their device and then their IP address.

This morning I came across this news in our local newspapers: Nearly half of Africa’s smartphones found sending hidden user data to China-linked servers, report says. The report highlighted that phone makers like Tecno, Infinix, and itel contain embedded telemetry system which can collect sensitive information like users' GPS location, app usage, mobile data consumption, and camera activation events. This information is then sent to servers operated by Shalltry, a China-based software company. It is now becoming clearer that big corporations, in partnership with the government, are closely monitoring every aspect of people's lives. Since they have access to phones, it means that they get all the information, including crypto assets. We are in an age where you can have access to information. Anyone who is deceived into investing in Bitcoin ETFs instead of buying Bitcoin without middlemen is lazy to learn.

I doubt that using my BT somehow, with my consent, could even reveal my Bitcoin keys, balance, or seed phrases, but if it could even tell them I am into crypto by checking a few points, like if I have several crypto-related apps downloaded or my screen time on those apps, then that's not good for any bitcoiner. But I really don't think these IoT devices could reveal our personal information like seed phrases, etc.
We can't really avoid surveillance until we stop using digital devices. We have to use the older ones, which give less information and take only the information that is necessary, but you can't really avoid surveillance. You created an ID, it must be in the system. The system could easily locate you if it has your image, and it has been tested before in a secure environment in China. You can find the video on YT. It is not new.
And yes, they can control us if they can control our only hope of true ownership with Bitcoin, so they are selling us their drama, and the majority is buying, and their kids would also prefer to do the same instead of buying BTC directly.

Governments have been monitoring everyone from time, but it is now becoming clearer what they have been doing behind closed doors. OP might be creating FUD with his outburst. I need to understand what exactly his fears are: Is he worried that the government might be able to access our bitcoins through their surveillance systems, or that our identities might be exposed through our Bitcoin transactions? As for the safety of our bitcoins, anyone who practices self-custody and reduces exposure through KYC has nothing to worry about regarding their assets. Those Bitcoiners who are still using centralized platforms are the ones who should be worried. For now, this should help. In the future, more measures to stay safe will be introduced as governments intensify their surveillance.

According to this post, it clearly states that the surveillance will be tracked by using phones, smartwatch earbuds, car infotainment systems, tire pressure sensors, AirTags, and finally pet microchips, whereby an electric fingerprint linking will be made to the general database. And as such, being a Bitcoiner has absolutely nothing to do with all these things mentioned above, because for the fact you still uses any of these items mentioned above, and leave in the same city where all these cameras are been monitored, your movement is likely to be under surveillance. But not your financial transaction with the use of Bitcoin. Because for the fact that Bitcoin has absolutely nothing to with camera and it's wallet are decentralized, most especially for those who uses non custodial wallets, you are very much free to go and safe.

To be honest, the government wants every event in its country to be in its sight, which is why they take various measures. In that case, if you want to keep your identity as a Bitcoin holder hidden, you should always remember that numerous eyes are watching you from all sides and in that context, if you can take maximum precautions, maybe you can keep your Bitcoin hidden from everyone's eyes. As the day goes by, people are using advanced technology, and at the same time, the government is also introducing more advanced versions of surveillance tools to increase surveillance on them. So, the way we can easily keep our Bitcoin funds hidden from everyone's eyes now, it may not be so easy in the future, but the way Bitcoin is giving us financial freedom, it is not that this financial freedom will stop in the future. I think that Bitcoin holders will also come out of the government's advanced technology and create new methods so that their Bitcoin portfolio can be protected from surveillance.

This has no relation with bitcoin, because China has been working on this kind of surveillance even before the existence of Bitcoin, and they successfully managed to do that before Bitcoin ETFs became a real thing, this just proves the government don't want anyone in their country go out of their sight, which is good when it comes to the security of people but highly invasive of our privacy. If we really want a country that align with the nature of decentralization then we may need to buy a piece of Island and get the support from countries to make it as an official country.

The future has always been surveillance and mind you it's not only happening in the US, other parts of the world too.
Your only best bet to avoid surveillance is using dedicated hardware that don't have bluetooth, maybe some kind of DIY mini computer but I honestly doubt it will be enough.
Since bitcoin is pseudonymous, at this point thinking about privacy is too costly and requires a lot of money.

We're under surveillance already, 24/7. And as technologies grow more and more sophisticated and everything turning digital and online, it's virtually impossible to avoid further surveillance in the future.
As an inevitable result, that you own Bitcoin would grow harder and harder to conceal. It's therefore more and more important for somebody trying to live as private a life as possible to ditch hot wallets and centralized services.
I'm generally pessimistic as regards avoiding surveillance in the future. It seems it could only grow as technologies become more and more sophisticated and their capabilities developing as fast. Every time we go online, we're leaving footprints. Unfortunately, it's impossible to survive nowadays staying offline.

Move by Flock Safety to quiet device tracking represents major big change from plate recognition. Connection of tire pressure sensors and AirTags to main profile is the type of setup that makes opt-out almost impossible.
But for Bitcoin, true weakness is not the watching cameras, but onchain trail. All transactions are clear. Once your wallet address is tied to your name, that is it, all your transactions are out there, no matter what is following your Bluetooth.
Most strong protection is stil unconnected hardware wallet. As soon as you plug something into USB port or connect something with Bluetooth to internet connected device that is your real danger area not camera outside.

You understood it incorrectly or expressed it not accurately. Hardware wallets actually connect to your computer that connects to the Internet but the technical design of hardware wallets are amazing in security by don't allow any exposure of your wallet private keys to Internet. Hardware wallets.Secure your bitcoin with hardware wallets.A hardware wallet is a small device that you connect to your computer when you want to send and receive bitcoins. However, all of the private keys are stored inside the device and are never exposed to the Internet.
As a result, you're disconnecting your private keys from the Internet and protecting your bitcoins from digital attacks. So the only way someone can steal your bitcoins is if they can get physical access to your device (or seed).

That's not the types of crypto wallets anyone should be dealing with, airgapped hardware wallet all the way. Also it's far better to make transactions when you get home, not on the street full of camera, it's just like saying when you are moving you shouldn't be pressing your phone, it's not safe for so many reasons. Your environment is something you should be more focused on instead, you can sense danger from afar when you are in cautious mode when walking. In America I believe that every souls are under surveillance every minutes of the day, it's why doing transactions isn't for the street, get home and do your thing.

You can make transactions on the street or outside of your home, that's reason why there are hot wallets to use for everyone. For your fund security and life safety, reminder is only use hot wallets when you hang out, and store small fund in them to use when you need to spend your coins for something while you are not at your home. If you want, you can make a decoy wallet too. Can duress wallets stop physical attacks on your bitcoin?

The cameras themselves cannot extract private keys from a properly designed hardware wallet, but I think there is another problem connected to surveillance that receives less attention.
Reports about surveillance systems, official privacy policies, government statements, and corporate promises are usually published on ordinary websites and social platforms. Those records can later be edited, deleted, or reorganized. If the wording changes after several years, screenshots and third-party archives may be the only remaining evidence of what was originally stated.
Does the Bitcoin community have a decentralized, append-only public platform where important reports, public commitments, policy changes, and evidence related to surveillance can be published with a verifiable timestamp and without the possibility of later editing or deletion?
I am not suggesting publishing personal or sensitive information on-chain—only public records that society may need to verify in the future.
If no such platform is widely used, would Bitcoiners consider it useful alongside privacy tools and self-custody?
