AI will definitely be replacing humans in the future in this aspect and casinos will be more than happy to integrate this into their business because it save them cost. But if I'm given the option to chose, I will still go with human dealer. I have not seen the need to add AI in my gambling, I still prefer to do it humans for several reasons especially originality. Although in the future I might change my mind because there is just so much that can be achieved perfectly with AI.

First of all, we may think that we can get the best perfection from AI, how is that possible when humans that are being used to model the AI are not perfect themselves. AI models can be improved overtime, and that’s one good thing I commend from them but anything that’ll replace originality, I always feel some sense of unsatisfactory from it. For people that are running business that AI integration will make them reduce cost of labor for their work, they’ll want to try this out. In the long run, I still feel there will be some discrepancies in the way it is is being used.

Will AI replace live dealers, or will players always prefer a real person?

Of course not. AI will not replace live dealers... There's enough room for both. I'm trying to imagine those AI dealers, but I can't. I guess I need to see it & try it... after all, why not? But I can't say I expect much...

When it comes to online casinos though are there live dealers? I don't play such games that requires live dealers offline and online, this is why I don't know about it, maybe someone can give facts on this for me, online casinos are completely online and I don't think that it's important to have live dealers online.

Yes, most online casinos (if not all) have a "Live games" section. They stream from studios or real casinos, so you can play a lot of games... hundreds of tables running 24/7. Blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker variants, and many, many more.

It actually makes sense since there are people playing live games online, I am not a fan of roulette and others that can involved dealers presence I don't just like it.

I am someone who do things away from people, it's not shyness I just don't like been around people like that, slots and sport bets doesn't require anything more than your balance and the internet.

No one needs to be there, I will just do my thing and that's all, mind you AI dealers will have to go through a lot of testings for them to be that perfect, it's not going to be easy but it could work.

Depends on how they programmed with these AI also of course there is a less human error when it comes with the AI even with the basic counting of cards, and distribution there is no mistake but the cons is possible they dont have an emotion or else this AI can be interactive with the players response in the chat, the thing I want with the real dealer is you can have a small chat with them having a good time conversation that could light up your mood upon playing and also you can ask them some question base on their experience. Apparently right now havent seen adapted the use of the AI as a dealer so yet still a good thing dealers still have a job.

Well, if we assume that AI is improving, then soon, interacting with an AI dealer will be practically unnoticeable to humans, unless they understand who they're dealing with. Today, we know that a lot of AI is learning, so for those who prefer to be amazed by AI inventions and perhaps even be antisocial, such dealers will be popular with them.

At first I thought: no way. The human dealer experience is the whole point of live casino.

But AI dealers are improving fast, they can talk, remember players, react, and create a more personalized experience 24/7.

Will AI replace live dealers, or will players always prefer a real person?

Curious what the Bitcointalk community thinks.
On TikTok, there are many videos where the person makes himself or herself look like a celebrity, like Megan Fox, Brad Pitt and so on. Then they move in front of the camera, touch their face and it looks so realistic that you'll might think that they are real. I believe that it's very possible that in the future, casinos will get a license/permission from certain celebrities to use their image and visual identity to later create an AI dealer. Imagine, playing Live Blackjack with Megan Fox, that would be cool.

Whether AI completely replaces live dealers, is still a debatable because there are many people who prefer living creatures and exclusivity over fakeness. There is a reason people pay lots of money in hand made things just because they are hand made, even though they might be worse than products created by machines.

Not a question. How can a soul-less AI agents be equivalent to a hot lady/man!? Unless of course, you are a weirdo who can't stand a real person and would rather prefer AI, but that's your insecurity speaking.

Plus, on relevant note, all this e-com sites recently have shifted to AI for customer support and fuck me, I miss chatting with real humans; they were much better in every way. I don't see why it would be different with casinos.

It seems to me that this is a logical and correct evolution of online casino interfaces because live dealers often listen to name-calling from angry players who lose. And it is possible that if someone lets off steam on AI, it will make the world a better place in the sense that real dealers will be more respected on human rights. I do not know for sure because psychology, casino, money and luck are intertwined in this issue. It is simply impossible to imagine a more explosive mixture.
But in any case, I'm inclined to believe that this is a good way for casinos to save on live dealers, and they can use this money to improve their other services.

I think different casinos will take different approaches. Some will stick to the traditional model and continue using only live dealers. However many others will likely use AI dealers to save a significant amount of money, which they could have spent on dealer salaries. In the end, it will depend on how well the technology performs and whether players are willing to accept this approach to gaming.

As a student, I loved playing in brick-and-mortar casinos! I was drawn to the atmosphere of luxury and glamour inherent in brick-and-mortar casinos. Polite croupiers, men in suits and tuxedos, ladies in evening gowns, premium alcoholic drinks, rows of roulette tables. It all reminded me of the atmosphere in the James Bond film "Casino Royale." 🙋

In my opinion, the presence of real people in the games makes the gaming experience more elite (in a good way).

AI dealers are our future. There's no escaping it. Artificial intelligence is gradually permeating every aspect of our lives. Whether we like it or not, there's no way to fight it. So, I agree that in the future, rich people will play with a real dealer, while the poor will be content with an AI-powered dealer substitute. 🧖

I don't know about others, but prior to becoming a online player, I used to play and gamble on land-based casinos. So I'm more on playing with live dealers, and so even with other players in the table talking to them.

So I will still prefer real person to be honest. I know that AI is advancing, but we can't have the same reaction or experience having a real person in front of us dealing cards and having a good conversation with them.

Specially let's say that you have a incredible streak in blackjack or baccarat, most of the times you can see the reaction of the dealer. There were even instances that the you know the dealer already and he/she can tell you were to bet. I don't think AI can duplicate that.

IMO, AI dealers are impressive as technology and I don't deny that they are making lot of progress nowadays. But the big draw of live casino is human interaction and atmosphere.

A little joke from dealer at blackjack table can make your entire time there exciting. AI may be able to simulate these but simulation and genuine human interaction are not same thing.

It seems like in future AI and human dealer both will coexist like now. If anyone need budget friendly table he could choose AI, but I'd rather play with human to get real feel of premium live casino.

Just like others, I would any day choose a human dealer over an AI dealer if I'm playing a live game such as roulette, Poker, or Blackjack, because there is a very big difference between a human dealer and an AI dealer, and it's not all about accuracy or remembering names of the players, it's about genuine reactions, humane conversations, because I believe more than the game itself, some people might play a game because of how good a dealer is with their players that come on their table on a daily basis, that can never be matched by an AI no matter how good it may become.

A lot of people are saying that casinos might choose AI dealers over human dealers because they can save money by doing that. I would say casinos are not that foolish to do something like that if they understand that their customers might not like it, because at the end of the day, it is all about keeping the gamblers engaged and keeping them with the platform, so they are not going to do anything that can make a gambler go somewhere else because they now don't like a change that has been made by the platform, so casinos will never take such a decision if they understand that it won't be liked by the gamblers.

I've been playing live tables for years. So I can say from experience that AI will never be able to match the experience of real dealer.

you know way?

Because gambling is not just about game, half of it is feeling and interaction with people. Just imagine sitting at blackjack table at 2 am, and dealer jokingly pokes you because you split a ten, that's part of entertainment.

AI may be able to act funny but it won't be able to understand atmosphere of the room. It won't be able to give you that side eye when you're on tilt. It won't be able to celebrate with you as sincerely as real dealer would when you win few big in a row.

Many people don't really care whether it's AI or human. People bet because there is a chance to win and for entertainment. Just that AI provides a better experience. Doesn't mean that AI made people place bets in the first place.  But personally I think people will trust human more than AI. But that's just my observation. But the shift to AI by casinos shouldn't be new. Companies now are adopting AI to manage their business.

What AI does it to keep conversation with players going smoothly which in turn will make the players want to come back and bet. So it's another way to retain and make customers to keep coming back.

Well, Artificial intelligence is not only about efficiently managing resources and finances within a company, a bookie or a casino in order to maximize gains. It is also about entertainment, that is why there are even virtual youtubers powered by Artificial intelligence, in order to get people engaged on social media (Instagram, YouTube and even on Twitter).

Have you read what has been going on Duel lately? They have basically turned their blackjack tables into some show with wacky stuff going on, that it has been quite popular so far. That means it is not only about the chance to get money out of good luck, people genuinely want to get entertainment through interactions with their dealers.

For online casinos it’s already a thing; it’s no longer something they have to think of integrating. Some of them are already using this technology. When you are playing blackjack, sometimes once you join the table, you hear the AI voice welcoming you; it’s programmed, but the only place where it might not be easy to replace a human dealer is in physical casinos, as some will find it weird to see a humanoid attending to them at the table.

Curious what the Bitcointalk community thinks.

I don't know if AI manager on casino will be able to handle all customer's situation and enquiry to resolution. I said this because I have been in some situation on another platform where their AI manager doesn't handle every enquiry or problem, it shift the emotional part to human manager. So, there are still certain challenges that AI manager won't be able to handle satisfactorily for a human. There are certain emotional challenges that requires sympathy and emotion, this is lacking in AI. Moreso, AI can't handle threats of dissatisfaction or threat about going to court for low service, rather it would just give you a generic prompt that won't really placate you. Human manager is still quite needed despite the growth in AI manager.
