Things like your passwords, seed phrases or your private messages are protected by encryption and application sandboxing so they are generally not accessible through normal means.

Yes they can collect meta-data’s like device information, application usage, location, network details and other telemetry from time to time but the reason why they do this is to be able to use that information to improve their software, security and sometimes personalization. And this is a common practice in the phone manufacturing industry; i’m shocked that most people don’t know about this.

Now i personally don’t know of any phone manufacturing company that spies on their user’s privacy and classified information with malicious intent but i’m sure that most of the reputable companies would not want to risk doing something like that because i believe they don’t have any incentive to do it and the risks involved are great if they get caught.

Truly, encryption could very well protect your personal information like your password and whatnot... But then again that shouldn't mean that we shouldn't be concerned.. Though it may not include sensitive information like out seedphrases and all, but this metadata have a whole lot of information about you as an individual, things like you location, app usage browsing habits, your phone contacts, age and whatnot, isn't that something we should all be concerned about BluebloodCXVi? They find ways to extract customers data while making it sound like it's for their best interest.

Well, we can never tell if there's a backdoor for extracting passwords and other sensitive data, but it still doesn't change the fact the appropriate authorities might not be as reliable as their name sounds. If your data get leaked through your smartphone you may have given the authorisation unknowingly but not third-party access without your knowledge.

And for this singular reason, this is why most times I don't automate my app passwords with my device Google account, which seems to be one of the most common practice by the majority of people this days, whereby they save their bank app passwords, or whichever password with their Google account, so that they can be easily have access to the account without needing to put the password manually again, but forgetting the fact that third party could have access to it from back end. Hence, making it unsafe and a threat to people using Bitcoin wallet, as their information may not also be save if phone manufacturers now have access to basic informations in people's photos. And for this singular reason, it's highly advisable people don't save or automatic whichever money apps they have on their phones to their Google account.

You're right but theY can only access information in your phone when you grant them permission. It is just similar to when you download and app and it ask you to activate permission to access your contacts, location and camera. Phone manufacturers can only have access to information on your phone through those built-in apps that are pre-installed with the phone before you bought it but for apps that you downloaded on your own, they won't have access to it. They can't have access to your passwords and seed phrases that you stored on your phone inasmuch as the app you stored used is not connected to the internet. Phones that are being produced this days comes with a strong hardware encryption which makes it difficult for the manufacturers to read your phone's data without your PIN code.

So what is the big deal? Sending data to America is good but to China is bad? I assume that every phone maker and OS is violating the NDPA law, and anyway the law can sometimes be softened to make it more easily for manufacturer to pass it. So even if data protections exist, they still allow big companies often to collect a lot of data for many reasons which is not a good thing at all.

No country. phone maker or service provider should have access to user information unless the law p0ermits.

This one go be very big business for them and no be wetin them go wan use joke. Any company wey they handle plenty user data always needs scrutiny because them fit dey trade your data with the wrong party wey fit temper with your own privacy. Na wetin most of all these telecommunication companies dey do take they use am make money more.

Sometimes we go dey surprise how some kind companies dey get our contacts come they advertise their products for us directly through SMS, na most of this them our telecoms dey run am for them dey collect their money lowkey. Sometimes kind agreements dey wey we dey agree to without reading the full content well, so in a case of this, they may have gotten approval from one without even knowing and using your contact for other stuffs.

I believe it's very much possible,and it could be for good reason also,but since crypto has taken over people need to be scared,china are very intelligent people,if you watch they produces the most ,importation is usually china ,they are super smart ,so I won't be surprised if such thing arise now, my issue is that my country don't even care much about all this,if not this is the right time to get to root of all this to be sure, because I know so many things are really possible with the way things are going .
