Are you smart enough to take care of the inheritance of bitcoins?

So, I've rephrased this as a question:

Are you smart (forward-thinking) enough to ensure a safe and secure way to inherit your bitcoins? Or are you invulnerable and immortal?

I'm not immortal  , but I think I'm still several years away from dying from natural causes. And, I have been staying at home more than ever. So, I don't think an accidental death is most likely either, lol. I may not be smart enough to prepare it for my heir at this point, but I think there will be a perfect time for that since right now I'm doing a lot of moving with my assets, and also my children are still too young for it.
My heir knew that I'm into crypto and been holding Btc since. What they don't know is how to do a basic transaction.
I guess writing the seed phrase in a piece of  laminated paper stored in a secured vault , with proper instructions should work. Since the vault is one of the first thing the family have to check after you pass. So, preparing them isn't so hard to do.
This is the best option if you don't want to use any third party service, like including it in the will, crypto inheritance services, use of trusted lawyer and executor, etc..

Yeah, I am just a young and vibrant person who lives by himself and solving his own problems by himself, more like a sole guy who is thinking of having a married life in the future with children that will be groomed in a way I want. They will be the inheritance of my Bitcoin and I'm sure I am preparing that wet and nourish wallet for them. I will trust them a lot because their dad isn't a thief, and so I believe in cell mutations, they copy the life of their dad.

Coincidentally, this is what I also chose, but it is not very accurate, but it is only what that is lose to what I can select which is not there because I do not have any inheritance plan and I am not planning that yet. I don't have kids and I don't plan having kids in the future. My BTC would most likely remain untouched by anyone after I die. Or maybe I will sell all my BTC and spend the money for medical treatment, if I get sick or something. Are you suggesting, that the people, who won't give their crypto to their children after they die are stupid? I find it weird that you are speaking from the fake pedestal of intellectual and moral superiority. People who want to hodl forever want to donate their Bitcoin to every living bitcoiner. People might have reason for taking this path but I find it unworthy. There is a Legend about a German Shepherd named Gunther that inherited $80 million in 1992 from its owner, and the wealth grew into a $400 million fortune. Instead of allowing the coins to be lost, they could donate them to their pets .

Why allow your coins to be lost when many people need support? I have dependents, and my partner knows where to locate my Bitcoins. If I were unfortunate not to have a good immediate family or a trustworthy extended family, donating all to charity in war-torn areas would be my best option.

Are there people in 2026 that see Bitcoin as ponzi scheme or is it that they don't check the internet as it suppose to be. I can't remember seeing any recent post about someone claiming Bitcoin to be a ponzi scheme and I see different ponzi schemes all the time run by scammers and the funny thing is that despite it been a scam, people still find a way to join the scams.

I don't think I will be able to hold Bitcoin for long period of time, I'm not going to allow any person to inherit what I suffered to build. If I later get married, then I may reconsider but for now, I don't plan on letting anyone have any access.

Actually, I don't have any plans to pass on my Bitcoin to anyone. It might sound selfish, because I have a family and children who are actually ready to inherit it. But I just don't want it to become a problem later on, where they fight over it or even fail to manage it properly, like how I have taken good care of it. I didn't know that maybe in the future I might change my mind and decide to inherit it. But for now, what is certain is that I have no plans for it and will just leave it as it is.

I'm literally on the same page with you, I've been thinking that since the children are still in their nursery, I really don't think it's best to sort of discuss anything Bitcoin related, because it's oblivion to them. But i believe this can be sorted out with a trusted partner, hence you know that you can trust your partner to a certain extent, somethings are just necessary you guys talk about, no one knows what will happen the next minute. Do I have enough sense? I hope so, and I hope my loved ones are smart enough too. My family knows where the seed phrase is. I don't consider them to be someone who would betray me, so I don't have any Monte Cristo cyphers, but only a place. Everything else, if necessary, can be found on the Internet. I don't consider this to be some kind of "Chinese literacy" or something else complicated, so as not to understand what this seed phrase is and what needs to be done to get to the funds in the wallet.

Doesn't that seem dangerous? Your husband doesn't believe in bitcoin, which means he won't care about privacy and will assume what you wrote on a piece of paper is meaningless. Imagine if he starts telling his circle about your "weird plan," and one of them persuades your husband to find and hand over your seed phrase backup.

Although I have thought about this for a long time, I have not taken any action on this issue yet. Compared to all other assets, Bitcoin will be the best and most reliable asset in the future, although currently it is a reliable asset but many people look at it in many ways due to its volatility. I also chose that statement, I understand how you feel because at your age you are not yet heading there in this matter, it is very normal, it is indeed too far to talk about it, at your age, the enthusiasm to collect Bitcoin is like saving for the future, it is very good, the thing to think about is finding a partner so that life has a purpose in determining the finances that you will inherit, even if you do not have children, at least it can be capital for you in old age.

No, I don’t think it’s dangerous. First of all, we agreed not to tell anyone about our investments or savings. No one knows how much we have or where we keep our savings. We never share any financial details, even with our families.

I’m planning to explain more to him about seed phrases and security in about a year, once I’ve learned more and can explain everything better.
