This is what is happening with some of the Major institutional bitcoin holders, as they are coming together to form a consortium to fight against bitcoin security possible challenges, which has to do with ensuring adherence to the network protocols are being in consensus and prevent against any possible quantum related attacks now or the nearest future.

$15 million pledge was made all in the full support of this project, as they are set to fund an open source investigation on possible threats from quantum.
