The El Salvador's Bitcoin plans is moving into one of its largest political examination yet, while the national Bitcoin office Continues quietly stacking roughly one BTC every day, the country's opponents has officially queue up debates for February 2027 Presidential elections suddenly, the future of the government crypto policy is gradually turning part of the political debate.

Openly figure from El Salvadors Bitcoin office shows national holdings have move upward about 7, 725.37 BTC as of July 27, up from roughly 7,700 BTC a month before. It's steady recalls that President Nayib Bukele's daily increases plans remains intact despite changing regulations. This also means that in the nearest future Bitcoin will eventually become part of government projects and controls policy.

It’s interesting that Bitcoin is becoming a political issue rather than just an economic one. The fact that El Salvador continues accumulating around 1 BTC per day suggests the current administration remains committed to its strategy. However, with the 2027 presidential election approaching, it’s also possible that future governments could review or even change that approach. I think it’s too early to conclude that Bitcoin will necessarily become a permanent part of government policy, since that will ultimately depend on the outcome of the political process.

When ever politics is involved in a thing one is not expected to have thesame a consensus agreement, and that is what I see playing out there in El Salvador. Election is around the corner and different parties are contesting, and so it expected that they will disagree with the policies of the president rulling party which Bitcoin forms part of its main agenda.
I have read news about the candidates of the two main opposition parties criticizing president Nayib Bukele's crypto policies and how it a failure. But from what I seen neither of these two parties criticizing the present crypto policies has not said anything reasonable about what they holds if elected into office.
The citizens of El Salvador which the right to electing their next sets of leaders will decide by voting in leaders that, will be crypto friendly. This is because crypto currency is one thing that the citizens of El Salvador has come to love and embrace.

We cannot simplify an election that directly affects lots of lives to a test for bitcoin. To us as bitcoiners it is a big deal to have a government name bitcoin as a legal tender and also be so vocal about adoption among its citizens and accumulation.  But to someone living there there are lots more they judge a ruling party by.

Whatever the outcome of the election the current president has already made a claim for bitcoin to remain in the future of the nations financial policy.

Nayib Bukele has been a very good El Salvadoran president, violence and crime rate reduced during his time. Suicide, homicide reduced. Gang controlled areas significantly reduced during his time.

Constitutional Chamber ruled that a sitting president could seek one immediate consecutive term, this allowed him to become the president again the second time. But before that time, reelection is not constitutional and not possible.

He is going for the third term now because the legislative assembly approved removing presidential term limits totally, allowing their presidents to run as many as possible time.

People like him, he may likely become the president again but is it now getting to what some people will say it is no more democratic government.

In July, El Salvador central bank actually told IMF that public sector Bitcoin buying had ended in February as required by their $1.4B loan deal. Bukele replied on X, "No, it is not stopping. So they are not buying, but that does not mean they are not.

The 7,723 BTC at an average price of about $64k is sitting on paper profits at the moment as the average cost of buying is about $45,200. That cushion is important ahead of 2027 elections, opponents cannot easily attack a policy that is in profit.

Political review point is acceptable. Winner in February 2027 takes on this role and now it is big campaign topic. Pro-Bitcoin candidate continues to pile on, opposing candidate may be forced to go under. That doubt alone could cause some unsteadiness around election time.

If the Bitcoin policy of the president of El Salvador is beneficial according to the expectations of the common people, then people will naturally like it. But according to the current price of Bitcoin, it will not be able to create any impactful position. However, I think that the president of El Salvador is definitely thinking long term and holding Bitcoin as part of a big plan for the future. He has approved it in the country. And in fact, it is not possible to get a correct idea about the actual mindset of the people of that country in El Salvador. This would be possible only if a person from that country came and presented the real position. And those of us who talk or think about it are only analyzing it from our own opinions and thoughts and information from various news. But overall, we consider El Salvador an icon as a Bitcoin country. And we want Bitcoin to create a positive impact on that country that will benefit its people..

Observing El Salvador, I have a question. Yes, it looks positive in the eyes of the BTC-community that this country continues to accumulate btc reserves despite everything. But at this stage, bitcoin is simply "devouring" the budget of a not-so-wealthy country and brings no benefit to the economy. This money could be used to create production or improve the well-being of residents who could start businesses, and all of this, ultimately, would have a positive impact on the country's economy. For now, this all looks like an experiment, the results of which remain unclear and unknown. You also mentioned the 2027 presidential elections, during which the country's policy towards bitcoin could change (for example, if the president changes). What if they decide to sell off all these assets?

So, will El Salvador, with the help of bitcoin, become a world leader in the future?
