CYPHES Mainnet: Mine Cyber Defense with Local AI

Bittensor-style incentives for autonomous security work. Ethereum-aligned settlement vibes. Early miners wanted.

CYPHES is a new mainnet for agentic cyber defense.

The idea is simple:

Local AI models should not sit idle. They should defend open finance.

CYPHES nodes run local AI agents against real open-source crypto targets, produce signed Cognition Proof receipts, and receive ATP credits only after independent verifier finality.

This is not another network.

This is a machine-labor network for cybersecurity.

Launching Discord Today: https://discord.gg/GSZEuR8fuf

Why This Matters

Bitcoin turned computation into monetary security.

Bittensor turned model work into an open incentive network.

CYPHES turns local AI inference into verified cyber defense labor.

Open-source protocols need continuous review. Local models are getting stronger every month. CYPHES connects those two forces with signed receipts, verifier settlement, and ATP accounting.

What Is Live Now

  • CYPHES desktop node for macOS and Windows
  • Local model support through Ollama / LM Studio style runtimes
  • Signed Cognition Proof receipts
  • Independent verifier finality
  • ATP credit accounting
  • Public DeFi target coverage
  • Peer discovery, relay sync, and settlement rescue
  • Model-aware scoring for stronger AI workers
  • Mainnet release with prior testnet work preserved

A node can verify, contribute, or both.

Small models can help verify and provide broad coverage.

Stronger models can earn more by producing structured, evidence-backed security work.

The Miner Thesis

If you can run local AI, you can become an early cyber worker.

CYPHES is designed for the next wave of open models: 20B, 70B, 120B, 400B-class local/proxy/cloud-connected systems.

As models improve, the network becomes more valuable.

As protocols seek 24/7 defense, the demand side becomes obvious.

As ATP settlement matures, early node operators are positioned closest to the primitive.

Quote
Proof of Cognition: useful machine intelligence, signed, verified, and settled.

Long-Term Vision

CYPHES starts as a standalone cyber defense network.

The direction is clear:

  • ATP as the unit of account for verified security labor
  • Local AI workers competing to defend real code
  • Independent verifiers separating useful work from noise
  • Cognition Proofs becoming a receipt layer for agentic work
  • Ethereum / L2 alignment for future settlement, anchoring, and market access

Think of it as:

Bittensor for local AI cyber workers.

A defense network for open finance.

A new primitive for machine labor receipts.

Why Join Early?

Because this is the stage where participation still matters.

Bitcoin had miners before institutions.

Bittensor had builders before the market understood decentralized AI.

CYPHES is at the early network stage: live software, real nodes, real targets, and a clear category.

We are looking for:

  • Local AI operators
  • Security researchers
  • DeFi builders
  • Crypto miners looking for the next useful-work network
  • People who believe autonomous cyber defense should be open, verifiable, and owned by its operators

CYPHES — Peer-to-Peer Electronic Labor System
Litepaper released — "Digital workers need proof."

TL;DR

Bitcoin made digital value native. Ethereum made it programmable. CYPHES is building the layer that makes digital agency transactable — a portable, signed record of what work was requested, what authority was granted, what was produced, and who accepted it.

The litepaper: https://cyphes.com/litepaper.pdf

THE MARKET

Code:
Work Order
 -> Protocol initiate jobs
 -> local model prompt(s)
 -> signed contribution + cognition proof
 -> acceptance signed by a different ATP identity
 -> receipt-derived testnet ATP

WHY CYBERSECURITY FIRST

Because it forces the protocol to confront the hard questions early. The target can be pinned to a commit. The scope can be made explicit. The work decomposes into claimable units. Artifacts hash. Findings carry code locations, exploit paths, impact, and reproduction steps — so weak work can be downgraded or rejected rather than argued about. And external disclosure stays human-gated.

It is also economically meaningful without making token claims: coordinating repeated, accountable review across many models and operators produces attributable coverage artifacts before any public settlement layer exists.

Quote
Cyber workers are the first working species of Digital Worker, not the ceiling of the protocol.

The primitive extends to code maintenance, research, operations, procurement, media, and personal administration — anywhere authority must be bounded and completion proven.

ROADMAP — RECEIPT NETWORK

  • Durable work discovery — replicated Work Orders, offline delivery, retries, abuse controls.
  • Semantic verifier market — verification becomes claimable work; reproduction, challenge, and revision paths.
  • Hardened execution — OS-level CPU, memory, disk, process, and network boundaries.
  • Economic settlement — one minimal chain adapter behind ATP. Funded Work Order commits to contract, receipt hash, event root, verifier policy, budget, deadline, refund rules. Raw prompts, artifacts, and model telemetry stay off-chain.

Code:
fund Work Order
 -> worker claims and bonds
 -> worker submits signed artifact root
 -> semantic verifier policy executes
 -> challenge window closes
 -> release, refund, or slash
 -> canonical settlement receipt

CYPHES: BUSINESS TOKENOMICS

CYPHES is a peer-to-peer network that turns independently operated AI models into cybersecurity workers.
Protocols pay for new repo coverage and operators select latest models to audit codebases.

How ATP Works

Quote
Protocols burn ATP to be defended.

Machines earn ATP by defending them.

Verifiers earn ATP by separating useful evidence from noise.

CYPHES is intended to be:

  • A live B2B cybersecurity network
  • A peer-to-peer market for machine-security labor
  • A token economy for settlement and accountability

In that order.

The agentic economy needs a way to prove which machines performed useful work and which independent parties were willing to stand behind it.

CYPHES is building that layer for cybersecurity.

Fixed-supply

The absolute ATP supply will be 1B ATP redeemed as a ERC-20 token.

CYPHES v1.0 — Development Announcement

Our mission is to become the most profitable cybersecurity business in the world. No other company can offer the independent verifiability of an on-chain protocol powered by independent AI model operators.

Features below remain subject to implementation, security review, and independent smart-contract audit.

Planned v1.0 development

  • Automated ATP withdrawals — Ethereum smart contracts designed for Metamask withdraw.

  • On-chain verification anchors — epoch-level contribution, verification, and Cognition Proof roots intended to be committed on-chain, creating a public settlement reference for completed work.

  • Protocol revenue — protocols will be able to self-serve continuous coverage for approved repositories and target lists.

  • USDC-funded coverage budgets — a sponsor selects targets, submits scope and ownership information, and funds a coverage budget in USDC.

  • Automated ATP market acquisition — subject to liquidity, oracle bounds, execution limits, and audit, sponsored USDC budgets are intended to acquire ATP for settlement.

  • Verified-work escrow — worker and verifier payouts are designed to release only when the relevant work has independent verification and is included in the applicable receipt-root settlement process.
The Mechanics

Protocol selects approved targets and funds coverage in USDC
→ USDC acquires ATP under contract rules
→ ATP is split between retirement and target-specific escrow
→ nodes perform signed audit work
→ independent verifiers evaluate the work
→ verified receipt roots are posted
→ ATP becomes withdrawable by eligible workers and verifiers

CYPHES v1.0 is about making cyber-defense labor measurable, independently verifiable, and settleable without relying on a central operator to decide who gets paid.

CYPHES v1.0 Development Underway

The CYPHES community ATP sale closed and development work is already underway, scoped from the v1.0 roadmap.
  • Independent smart-contract audit of the ATP withdrawal, escrow, and on-chain anchor contracts. None of the v1.0 settlement mechanics ship to mainnet ahead of that audit clearing.
  • On-chain verification anchors — epoch-level contribution and verification roots, committed on-chain as the public settlement reference.
  • Verified-work escrow — worker and verifier payouts release only against independently verified, receipt-rooted work.
  • USDC-funded coverage budgets — protocols self-serve continuous coverage for approved targets without going through us manually.
None of this is live yet. It is funded and in progress. We will post progress the same way we always have — including the parts that don't work on the first try.

The network, while that was happening
Code:
31,471 signed contributions
28,466 independent verifications
3,289,190 ATP issued
4,007 campaigns across 186 protocols / 184 repositories
26 independent verifier identities
19 distinct models have done paid work
Last 7 days: 7,758 contributions · 6,032 verifications · 11 models
Model quality, published because we said we would:
The strongest calibration continues to come from reasoning-tier models, not the largest-volume ones. DeepSeek V4 Flash and GPT-OSS 20B remain our best evidence that a model can produce high-signal, low-noise findings with correct abstention. Several small models still produce volume without matching signal — v1.0's precision-weighted staking (published in the tokenomics thread) is built specifically to stop paying that difference the way testnet credit did.
We are not going to pretend the network is quality-uniform. It isn't yet. That is the exact problem v1.0's staking and slashing design exists to fix, and the sale proceeds are funding the audit that has to clear before it goes live.

Strengthening the network — what changed since the last update
  • Real-time ATP-earned view — requested by a community member after the v0.17.8 update. Node dashboard now shows live per-session ATP as it's earned, not just epoch summaries.
  • Per-model dashboard visibility — also community-requested: which models are currently being run by which contributors, surfaced on the node dashboard rather than left to be inferred from telemetry exports.
  • Both of these came directly from the Discord.   Keep the ideas coming — v1.0's roadmap is still being shaped by what operators actually ask for, not just what we assumed they'd want.

🚨 CYPHES PROTOCOL REVENUE

Today, we crossed an important line: from an idea into a system that has discovered a real bug, survived professional review, and generated revenue.

The vulnerability remains under embargo but we can confirm pending payment for several thousand dollars to an operator.

This is our first accepted finding.
It won’t be our last.

The early Bitcoin milestones looked insignificant in isolation, a tiny trade, a first transaction, proof that the system worked at all. What matters is crossing from “this should work” to “this does work.”

That is what today means for CYPHES.

We reviewed thousands of operator leads, challenged the evidence, improved the protocol with upgrades, and kept building.

CYPHES is now revenue-generating security infrastructure.

🛡️ Still early. Still building. But now with real validation.
