Many coins reaching new all-time-lows today doesn't mean crypto hasn't bottomed

What do you expect from these non-valuable coins when there is shrinking market liquidity than to see them on their all-time-lows that may hardly recover again. That's because these are considered weak and lack of potential altcoins, they just rise in the market when there is hype and when people are going into FOMO but eventually fall and lose their value when the market turns into bearish, making them difficult to survive and sustain their price value.

But with bitcoin and some leading altcoins, no matter how critical the market condition is, they will keep on thriving because their demand are still high. Their high utility case help them to stay in their position even if the market is bleeding.

Just made a quick scan this morning, among the coins that made new all time lows I spotted the usual suspects: Polkadot, ZkSync, Berachain, Optimism.... Notice something? All are dead, useless blockchains.

Bitcoin and especially Ethereum, Uniswap, Chainlink, Aave, OKB all look very bottomed out and already are catching a bid.

Don't look at the altcoins in general. Many (maybe most) of them are on their continuous journey to zero.

You know what's pathetic about altcoins, even the ones that used to be all of that are dead already. I remembered when Chainlink where the best coins in town then, Filecoin was everyone favorite, if you don't have these coins then, you are are considered not to be holding any coin today but today all of them looks dead, they don't have any value attach to most people investments, this is why many people need to take cautions before they invest in altcoins.

Look at BTC and ETH and the strong narrative plays. This is where the market clearly shows strong signs of life.

Don't get trapped shorting the industry because some people's and VC's bags are speedrunnung to zero. This is the time when longs start to have far better R/Rs.

Bitcoin looks strong but I can't say the same for Ethereum. If there is any coin that is supposed to be like Bitcoin is Ethereum, I know there is not going to be another Bitcoin but Ethereum stood the chance to be the best altcoin to ever existed. However, it's not different from the rest of the coins. It's trading below 50% from all time high which some altcoins that has touch all time high from last year are doing better than them with price performance.

And bitcoin dominance despite of the bearish market still crush altcoins, that's not new to us, thus leading them into a heavy correction wherein most of the useless altcoins can no longer recover and survive, while leaving some potential and reliable altcoins still next to bitcoin while they continue to secure their positions in the crypto market.

I'm never a huge fan of altcoins which is why I have not been paying much attention to their price action. Just now that you mentioned it, I checked and indeed a lot of altcoins are heading to zero and I can only imagine how many people will lose their money to these shitcoins. The confidence I have in bitcoin is that even if the price drops, there is assurance that recovery will happen and we cannot say that for most altcoins because as soon as the major investors dumps, it becomes difficult to pump the coin as no one will have the zeal to invest any significant amount that can cause the rise.

As always, I try to invest in coins that are in the top 10 positions in the coin market. Basically, I have been holding several altcoins for a long time, so I have lost about 80% of them. A few days ago, I sold one of my coins and invested the amount of dollars I got from them and that dollar directly in Bitcoin. In the future, I have full faith in Bitcoin and Ethereum. They will recover in the market someday, but my coins that are dumping about 80 to 90% may not recover in the future. They may never return to the price at which I entered the market. And some of my coins are almost dead and they will never return to life. Some of my coins have been delisted from the market, so I have learned that if I have to invest and hold in life, I will never invest outside of Bitcoin. Life has taught me through losses that the only risk-free coin to invest in for long-term holding is Bitcoin.

I don't know how to ratio of the total number of altcoins that are created with liquidity that is available for most of them but I don't think 10:90 ratio is okay because almost all of them are dried, no liquidity. If you buy a million worth of them and want to swap them, I'm not sure if you afr going to be able to sell it if you triple that million into millions, there will be no liquidity to swap them but if it's Bitcoin, you will worry less about it because there is no problem.

I think we need to stop this creation of altcoins if possible, if everyone create coins because they want to be leading project, I don't think there will be investors around us, nobody is going to buy, we are just few people that has interest in this market. However, if we have less coins and everyone buys the ones that are doing well fundamentally, then the prices will improve with time.

The projects that launched after 2023 majority of them are dead except hyper liquid or few others it is because majority of them has no use case or some are fundamentally weak  but they are driven at that time by hype or VC's money as at that time everyone saying bullrun is coming i also remember i got an airdrop from bera chain and i sell it around 8 or 9$ but if u see the current price of berachain it is below 1$. The current phase of the market is bear and u all knows that crypto market works in phases  in bear market only the strong narratives survive thats why majority of the project heading towards zero.

If the market recovers the projects u mentioned will recover quickly because those are strong narratives.

When their is bear in the market, you going to see lots of shitcoins dead, I feel bear market do always help us wipe most of the shitcoins in the market. During the bear market, lots of coins are going to dump, and you not just going to hear about them again. Honestly bear market is just really important in crypto space, it’s makes us know the real coins, and the rubbish coins we have in the market.

If you are holding altcoins, it’s better you hold strong ones, the coins that have been available for a very long time, and they are performing well. Most of this shitcoins entering the market are always wiped out during the bear market which is so nice. So for us to avoid losing money, make sure you invest in bitcoin, or top altcoins.

Well cant blame there why there are still memecoin hunters because possible they have seen or even experienced become profitable throughout hunting them, but for those late comers I dont think so they can still be profitable, this is the reason why must need to consider having some knowledge about the altcoin if it has a purpose or not so you can sell your asset and seek for another potential coin in the market such as the Bitcoin and top 10 listed in CMC.

Yeah, this also serves as a good reminder of why investing in Bitcoin is still a better choice than investing in altcoins, or at least why it's the better option if you don't fully understand the altcoin market. Simply put, investing in or trading Bitcoin is generally a better approach than buying or trading altcoins if you don't have the analytical skills required to navigate that market.

I think the speculation about Bitcoin reaching $1 million has died down for now, and it looks implausible this year, at least. I saw a lot of people last year predicting that Bitcoin would reach $1 million sometime this year, and honestly, I was buying into the hype as well. At this point, I'd be happy if we remain stable around the $100,000 mark by the end of the year and potentially move toward setting a new all-time high in early 2027.

Or the coin/token has reached the end of its lifecycle naturally. There are many coins in the market that are actually supposed to live a short lifespan and serve a specific purpose. For example, there was a coin for the FIFA World Cup, and once the event is over, the coin isn't worth anything anymore.

Tokens like Uniswap are slowly losing their identity because more DEXs are entering the market, so UNI is not unique anymore .

The crypto market will never die and some coins reaching their all-time low is just an indicator of how the market has evolved rather than a statement on the market itself. There are bear and bull runs, but those are just whale manipulations or a by-product of events in real life like the US-Iran war.

Tokens like Uniswap are slowly losing their identity because more DEXs are entering the market, so UNI is not unique anymore .

Well, first of all, since it is "Trading Discussion", I was talking about the strenght of the chart among overal altcoin sector weakness, which has been tremendous in the last few months.

But still, as per fundamentals, you couldn't be more wrong. Uniswap is the #1 spot DEX by every metric, having ~3 times higher volumes on average than the #2 DEX, Pancakeswap (and we don't know how much of that volume is real, since it's basically a CZ's toy).

There is simply no ''second best'' spot DEX at this point. It singlehandedly captures all the volumes on new hyped EVM chains (as was seen on Robinhood chain) leaving its competitors with nothing.

That's not my words, that's the stats and numbers and they are the reason the chart looks the way it looks right now.

If you keep your eyes and attention on BTC  and ETH, you'll never be far from whatsoever the crypto market is doing because these two are not the most capitalised and most traded for noughts.  Many coins and tokens out there are not worth the memory space they occupy and so staying in the bitten track should be the watch word here. For me I look first to see the utility inherent in a coin to want to give it a second look.

When I'm looking at the crypto market to determine where we are I don't look beyond Bitcoin and a few top altcoins like Ethereum and BNB, the rest are just there, I don't even care whether they exist when I'm monitoring the market. I see the numerous cryptos that are flooding the crypto market as spams nothing to take into consideration when making any market decisions. Those who have been burnt by numerous fake projects out there would know better, it is very unfortunate that the crypto market has become a space where scam devs. are dumping their scams projects, more unfortunately is that people are still falling for them.

Altcoin is never a coin to trust because they can fall at anytime, and if you are having much if it and it dumps it quickly affects the owner and whenever altcoin dump the possibility for the coin to high again could be that poor because some investors might have pulled out their investments and leaving empty coin for those who keeps believing that they would rise again.
So investment should be channel on the assets that can never loose completely and even if the market dump unexpectedly it would rise back to gain its feet.
