Speaking of being familiar, I'm sure that friendly match is on-going and this is not for a specific teams but for all the teams that is well known infact, those teams we usually bet on when the season start are all playing this friendly match. So don't say you're not familiar with it or maybe you didn't notice that friendly match is on-going. and sure, there are people who are profiting from this friendly match that is going on but I must be honest that ever since they started playing this friendly match I haven't bet on them before and that is because I don't like betting on any events I know that it is not that serious.

It a matter of personal choice and how addicted you are to gambling. For I do gamble on pre season games, even though it has not been profitable for me so far, I still try to stake on them everyday. For m I don’t think I need convincing from anyone to tell me on games of league to stake on, in as much I have money to spare I see it as fun to try to stake on games.

I still really can’t wait for the major league to start, with them making Money on gambling becomes  more easy, they are very much predictable than these pre season games.

In this case, waiting for a new season is better than betting in unfamiliar league or team. It is tantamount to throwing away your money which is not advisable. You want to be very strategic about betting so has to increase your chances of a favorable outcome. In this case, a favorable outcome would be a balance between wins, losses, and being even.

I definitely prefer to gamble by doing research, it is true that you cannot be 100% confirm about winning by gambling by doing research or using strategies, because luck plays a big role in winning, but of course, gambling by doing proper research greatly increases the chances of winning and can protect yourself from big losses.

Gambling is a completely personal matter, you can wait a long time to bet on your favorite team or you can bet on any football match by doing research. This is completely your own decision. However, if you are betting only for entertainment, then you can bet using proper research or strategy without wasting extra time.

You tend to find it easy to analyse games and make predictions when you know the strengths and weaknesses of the clubs in a particular league. I think we should even look more closely at boredom and what it can cause if it creeps in too often and settles in. This can somehow create a need to bet even when there are no matches at all to bet. My advice is to treat what needs to be treated as entertainment and be disciplined in placing bets. Football is the same for all the continents, all the data you need to predict the game are available on the Internet, why wait for the European season when there are other good leagues already on? The Chinese Super Leage, US MSL,  Uzbekistan,  Australian leagues and so many other fine leagues are on amd they are pretty easy to predict. I have been busy with them and they have rewarded me greatly. When the European league starts, it will just be another great addition to my betting as I will have more high probability matches to bet.

I do not have to be familiar with a league before I will know on the matches to bet on the league. There are stats, predictions and AI which can all help. But if it is not interesting to you and not having fun with it, just do not bet at all. Wait until the major leagues like Premier League, La  Liga and others start in August.

I see this method as very risky. If I'm not so familiar with the league, at least I will know more about some teams in the league and their performances by watching some of their games before I bet on them. I used to think that it is always a good idea to wait for the main leagues to resume because of the fact that you have more options to choose from and that the chances of winning from betting on clubs you are familiar with are much higher but after some experiences I have had my thoughts on this has changed.

Most of the wins I have gotten were from club friendlies and leagues outside of the popular ones that we normally bet on, I simply opened my mind to the possibilities of getting good options with the smaller divisions, although luck still had a role to play.

The bottom line is that waiting for the season to resume doesn't guarantee making profit from betting but at the end of the day it is your choice to make, if it works for you then there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

And who told you that? As long as gambling is involved it is never right to think that luck isn't there... Familiarity with the sport for sure helps with certain things like having knowledge of the team overall nature, the players who are there, their fitness level, their strength and weaknesses etc... And so with the knowledge of all this, one will be well informed on the particular team that you should stake on, but don't always forget that the chances of your winning even with all those knowledge still remains at 50-50 at best .. Meaning that you could hit a win or end up with a very huge loss, that is very common amongst majority of gamblers...While in cases where you are not familiar with a sport, well a friend could help out with the prediction or you could do a little research and then make you prediction... And this prediction could luckily get you a win even when you aren't too familiar with the sport... Sports is just so unpredictable OP...

For me, the break is also a good time to relax and save money for my bankroll. For instance, the NBA season is already over, so I can use these months to step back a bit. Once it returns, that’s when I’ll start betting more regularly since there are games almost every day.

The decision to wait or continue betting depends on how good you are in betting and if betting is one of the ways in which you used to make some extra income. For a fan that just like betting then they can wait until the new season starts because they won't be familiar with the other leagues that are currently ongoing and the games that are being played like international friendlies. We also have preseason games that are being played and you can bet on all these games If your sportbookie permit those games to be bet on. Most of the sportbookie that I know gives players opportunity to place bet on every game available hence it will be fun if you try them out but just know that they are not your regular games and the chances of you making profit is less because this games are very unpredictable unlike the other league games that you are very familiar with.

I am a regular bettor and I bets not just on the favourite leagues but also the minor leagues.
I don't allow my gambling times to feel bored just because the popular leagues are not actively on season.

Although betting on the minor leagues may require high IQ because, the minor leagues can easily be manipulated that even the very bets you are supposed to win will be lost because such is the strategy that the hosts also uses to make extra money to support the event.

I am also more disciplined when betting on the minors because it is not as fun and as profitable as betting on the favorite leagues.

To be honest, when I bet on league I'm not familiar with, I get the most results, I love those leagues even though I don't know the players or even watch their match on TV.
The secret I used is that, those leagues have a pattern, and if you are familiar with their pattern you get it through.

For example, when I am betting with Norway league, though not familiar with the clubs, their pattern has to do with goals, they scored goals a lot, not minding whether underdogs are playing against the top club, they score each other alot, this case I bet them with over options to get it done.

Another example is Iran league, they always end the game with either 1 or 2 goals, so the best pattern is under option, that's how I go about the league I'm not familiar with.

Betting on leagues that you are not actually familiar is what I consider as pure gambling, because you cannot insert any strategy since you are not familiar with teams and other things there.

Compare if you know much the league like that World cup, you may possibly know the weakness also strength of each team and familiar of some patterns happening there.

Trying to jump on random matches then bet with it, will just eventually result to losses. Its hard to rely on luck in that set up.

With those unknown matters or unfamiliarity with other leagues. Many bettor just decide to stop, for a while after those big tournaments ends. Then just wait for next season to open so they can placed their bets again. Chances to win is so high if you stick betting on familiar leagues.
