I don't get why you'd want to bet on unfamiliar leagues and teams. The World Cup is over, so you can easily take a break from football betting. Besides, I don't think betting on someone you don't know at all is any fun, and winning a bet like that won't give you the same feeling as winning on your favorite team. What you said earlier is absolutely true. There's no point in betting on something that's neither profitable nor entertaining. It's different when we bet on a particular sport because we also get to enjoy watching the match.

Being familiar with teams and groups placements would most likely increase the chances of you winning. There are luck factor of course but having more information can help you decide which is the better teams, this is why sports analyst has work. Well the world cup is not something that we can experience just every year or even every other year, for that matter. It is a once in 4 years opportunity. Especially for gamblers, and that also means placing bets you usually would not place because it is not your team/usual gambling habits.

So... I back to bet on the Brazilian Championship after it resumed once the FIFA World Cup ended.
Once again some very unlikely results have been happening (which I was already expecting), but I am only betting for fun, with small amounts and just laughing at how unpredictable the results are.

Yes, it's me. I often bet on teams I don't know well. Maybe heard a thing or two about them, maybe saw their play for 20 minutes in a bar, things like that, but not more. Is it profitable? No. But I do win some of my multibets and it makes me feel better. Not the money, the very fact that I won with 10x+ multiplier makes me feel good. Two times in my gambling career I even won with 100x+ and many many times won with 20x+. Overall, focusing on making profits from betting is not a good idea. I use gambling for fun only.

There was a situation in this forum a while back where someone ask chat gpt for prediction on football games and placed a bet according to what chat GPT gave them and won a lot of money from it, this doesn't mean that AI has perfect prediction skills but it does show that it's stats reviewing is actually good, if you don't trust what it gives you then you don't have to follow it's predictions.
